Looks like Lindsay Lohan hasn’t found herself another fashion job quite yet. Though Ungaro’s Artistic Advisor told Access Hollywood that she had teamed up with jewelry designer Pascal Mouawad to create a collection for bebe, WWD reports that it just isn’t so. According to the paper, Pascal Mouawad, who has partnered with Nicole Richie and Heidi Klum in the past, acknowledges that though discussions about launching a jewelry line with Lindsay for bebe did take place, the line “is not happening.” And a rep from bebe confirms that to PEOPLE, saying “We are not doing anything with her. There were talks months ago but we did not go forward with anything.” While Lindsay won’t be contributing to the bebe design team, you can still get star style at the retailer with Nicole Richie’s exclusive House of Harlow collection and Khloe, Kourtney and Kim Kardashian’s spring clothing line for bebe.

Emanuel Ungaro, founder of the fashion house which still bears his name, has publicly criticized Lindsay Lohan’s recent collection, European newspapers report. On Monday evening, according to the Agence French Presse, the 76-year old Ungaro told an audience at the Estoril film festival in Lisbon, Portugal on Monday, that the collection on which Lohan served as fashion consultant “was a disaster.” The venerable designer continued, “I’m furious but there isn’t a thing I can do. I have absolutely no link with that house,” added Ungaro who sold his house to an investment fund in 2005. Lohan, 23, was announced as Artistic Advisor to the house in September and, less than a month later, presented her first collection designed in collaboration with Estrella Archs, who herself had only been named as the house’s designer at the end of July. At its showing in October, the Lohan/Archs collaboration was trashed by many critics, while the company itself supported their work, telling PEOPLE at the time of the designing duo, “This is a fashion couple.” According to reports, Ungaro told his audience that the house which bears his name was “well on its way to “losing its soul.” Ungaro explained, “This happens to a lot of designers. We were creator/owners, responsible for both the designs of the house and its destiny. But when you give up your house, we’ve also given up our soul.” –Peter Mikelbank

The Paris fashion world never expected to see pasties on the runway. Nor, apparently, did the creative consultant behind the disastrous line, Lindsay Lohan. The actress, 23, who was skewered by the fashion press for the first Ungaro collection she served as artistic advisor on, blamed the fiasco on “coming in so late and having not that much time to do a whole collection.” As for the much-maligned sequined pasties flashed by the models when they opened their jackets and blouses, Lohan said told PEOPLE on Wednesday at a Victoria’s Secret Velvet launch party in New York that she was as shocked as the audience. “I wasn’t aware of the nipple tassels on the girls until they were walking out,” she says, adding that “I am going back to Paris for the next collection….I am learning.” Still, the clock for her next collection is already ticking. “It’s already in January,” she says. “I thought it was in March.” –Isley Kasica

Looks like Lindsay isn’t the only Lohan working as a designer these days. Just days after her daughter’s Paris runway debut as Ungaro’s artistic advisor, Dina Lohan has announced she will be launching a shoe line, appropriately named “Shoe-Han”, for Long Island based chain store LoveMyShoes.com. And that’s not all, the former E! reality star will also take on the role as national spokesmodel for the retailer appearing later this month on television and radio commercials. Moments after showing her first collection for Ungaro in Paris on Sunday afternoon, Lindsay Lohan and co-designer Estrella Archs stood together backstage, hugging each other warmly amid the chaos and congratulations at the Louvre showrooms. “I feel like it’s pretty much a fairytale,” Lohan, who signed on as the house’s Artistic Advisor this summer, told PEOPLE. “It’s certainly more than I could have ever imagined, more than I’d ever hoped for.” Her voice absenting into hoarse whispers, she added, “I couldn’t be happier. Seeing everything pulled together, is simply amazing.” Holding tightly to Archs, a veteran Spanish designer, Lohan enthused, “the last five days have just been so crazy, chaotic. And this is just so amazing after working all night, this week in the office together until 1 a.m. and 3 p.m., seeing everything pull together.” And the closeness of the designers is not just for show. “This is a fashion couple,” Moufarrige told PEOPLE. “That’s something which we haven’t seen much in fashion and especially not women designing together.” Leaning into a break from post-show television interviews, Lohan smiled warmly. “I feel so honored,” she told PEOPLE. “I can’t wait to be involved again, to be more involved on the next collections, to continue to please people, add more to the designs, to shock people…” While one fashion writer-attendee told PEOPLE that she thought the show was “very young and true to the spirit of Ungaro. It was a homerun,” the official reviews were more of a mixed bag, with the International Herald Tribune’s Suzie Menkes writing, “The Emanuel Ungaro show on Sunday may go down in history as the final gasp of celebrity madness” while L’EXPRESS cheered the clothing, “Dresses, sensually cut to the extreme, pants hugging the leg as closely as possible and the cloths dear to Ungaro putting into value an impeccable silhouette, shown off in fuchsia, blue, orange, white and black.” –Peter Mikelbank

Not one to be content with her burgeoning leggings and self-tanner businesses — not to mention her acting career — Lindsay Lohan is joining Emanuel Ungaro as “artistic adviser” alongside a new chief designer Estrella Archs, according to Women’s Wear Daily. Lohan tells WWD that her vision is to take Ungaro to a “younger place” with a harder fashion edge. “When I’m involved in a project, I give my all to it,” she tells WWD. “I’ve always played a big part in what I wear, the costumes. Clothing is something that’s so expressive in so many ways…To be in a position where I’m working with a fashion house in Paris sets it apart from every other celebrity brand.” So then, what exactly does “Artistic Advisor” entail? Lohan describes her position to WWD as that she “kind of oversees everything [Archs] does, while working with her. Different generations have different ideas.” But don’t expect Hollywood excess. “Every woman wants to be sexy — without being too much,” she explains. “I want it to be simple and easy. I really think less is more — and you can add on more with accessories.” Mounir Moufarrige, Ungaro’s chief executive officer, is thrilled about the level of publicity that Lindsay can bring to the venerable French design house, which counts stars like Eva Longoria Parker and Rachel McAdams among its current clientele. He tells WWD, “Everything we’re going to get is going to be a plus. I think the noise level around Lindsay will be very, very big.” Rumor has it that Lohan will take her first runway bow alongside Archs at the brand’s October 4 show during Paris Fashion Week. Lindsay Lohan’s latest photo shoot, a Marilyn Monroe-inspired pictorial for Spanish Vogue shot by photographer Alix Malka in the Hollywood Hills Wednesday, speaks to the actress’ current career ambitions. “The theme is glamor, cinematic, making a movie in Hollywood,” the shoot’s hair stylist Andy LeCompte, who tended to Lohan’s blonde wig, tells PEOPLE exclusively. “And Lindsay wants to focus on her career and get back to doing films, and this was a really cinematic shoot. It felt like we were making movie. The Hollywood sign was even in the background.” LeCompte, who’s been tending to Lohan’s tresses for several years, says the shoot “had a Marilyn Monroe-esque vibe,” adding, “there was definitely the conversation of Lindsay saying [she's] done it before, and that’s one reason we tried to do it a little bit different. I created a wig with darker roots, a little bit of Marilyn and Jayne Mansfield. Putting on a character is very inspiring for her. She loved it. She was putting on such a character. She’s always game to experiment with that.” At the shoot giving her moral support, was her BFF, stylist Patrick Aufdenkamp, as well as her sister Ali, 15. Lohan, 22, was a professional, says LeCompte: “She came on time, she was really simple to work with. Lindsay has a reputation for showing up late, but now that’s in the past. Now she comes on time.” And what about her thin frame and eating habits, which have come under increased scrutiny lately? Says LeCompte: “She looked great. She eats plenty. She doesn’t stop eating when she’s on a shoot. The first thing she does when she arrives is eat.” Lohan is expected to grace the cover of Spanish Vogue this fall. – David Caplan

This summer the actress will launch five styles of tights, including matte and shiny blacks and nudes to her legwear brand 6126. Regardless of the style, however, each will feature a figure-taming shaping component. “Tights are another staple, just like leggings,” Lindsay tells WWD of her decision to expand her legwear brand. “For girls that don’t want to wear socks with their leggings, tights are a natural alternative. You might have to wait for the spring launch of Lindsay Lohan’s much-anticipated spray tan line, but the actress is giving PEOPLE.com readers an exclusive sneak peek at one of Sevin Nyne’s sexiest campaign images. The star, who last year branched out from acting with a successful line of leggings, is known for her ever-present bronze glow, which she shows off to full effect in the ad. And the quest for a perfect fake bake is precisely what led her to create her own. “As much as I love the sun,” she says, “it is so bad for your skin. I have tried every product on the market and never found something that I loved.” Until, that is, she met spray tanner Lorit Simon. “She had an amazing tanning formula that over the years we continued to perfect,” Lindsay reveals of the partnership. “It was important to me to have a natural product that didn’t have a lot of dyes and chemicals. Our product has goji berry extract which has antioxidant properties, it has a natural golden color, it doesn’t streak and smells delicious — not like a typical tanning product.” The $35 spray will become available exclusively in Sephora stores on the first of May — with an early web launch on Sephora.com on April 15. What happens when a hot British designer opens up the doors to his first N.Y.C boutique during Fashion Week? The stars turn out in droves to support Matthew Williamson! Lindsay Lohan gushed to PEOPLE.com that Williamson “just has such a passion for it.” Lohan also praised his fit, explaining “he doesn’t cut things too small for girls so when they try them on they can’t fit into it, or too big for girls, everything can be fixed and altered and whatever it is.” She even joked that she had torn her sequined dress right off a model from his upcoming show. “Today we took this up a little bit, so he can’t put this on the runway. In fact, Intuition, a celeb-favorite boutique, tells PEOPLE, “6126 is a hot seller for us right now. The new prints (Goddess, Lust and Hyde) are flying off the shelves.” — the same goes for Henri Bendel, Nordstrom, Intermix, and Lisa Kline. Her hottest seller? The Mr. President legging, $132, that comes complete with quilted knee pads. And this is just the beginning. Celebrity hairstylist Sally Hershberger has coiffed just about every celeb you can name — including everyone from former First Lady Hilary Clinton to Tom Cruise, John Mayer, Julia Roberts and Lindsay Lohan. PEOPLE caught up with Hershberger at the grand opening of her new L.A. salon, where she dished about her dream clients, starting with Mad Men’s retro-beauty January Jones. “She’s so gorgeous,” said Sally. “I love that whole Catherine Deneuve/Grace Kelly thing — but I want to do her in a modern-day vibe.” And another another famous blond she would style a little differently? “I love [Madonna's] long hair, but I felt like it kind of pulled her face down,” she says of the performer’s recent show in N.Y.C. “I don’t want to put her down because I love her. I would just love it a little smoother and a little more hot.” Hershberger, who also has her own line of hair products, Supreme Head, feels that the key to sexy hair is keeping things looking natural by using just a little bit of product. “You don’t want to see the product in the hair,” she says. “That’s the biggest mistake. Yesterday Lindsay Lohan blogged about the launch of her leggings line 6126 in New York, and PEOPLE caught up with the multi-tasking star at the after party for the Cinema Society and Dolce & Gabbana sponsored premiere of Filth and Wisdom at the Thompson LES hotel to hear how it all went. Lohan tells PEOPLE that “it was really exciting. It was at Henri Bendel’s and they did an amazing job for us. We sold 700 leggings in an hour, more than I ever thought would ever happen.” And Lohan is clearly pleased at her involvement in the line, telling PEOPLE “it was a really cool thing to be a part of and to know that I had a hand in designing the leggings.” And the leggings launch wasn’t the only exciting thing on Lohan’s agenda while in New York. “I went to Madonna’s show last night. Every time I see another show of hers she becomes a newer icon to me. She’s timeless in a way that Marilyn Monroe was but was didn’t get to fulfill.” And considering that Monroe was the inspiration behind the name of Lohan’s 6126 line, that may just be the ultimate compliment.

WWD reports that Lindsay’s brand development company Stay Gold, which created those infamous 6126 brand footless leopard ankle gloves, will soon be giving us the chance to look like we’ve been baking under the L.A. sun — with an odorless, natural self-tanner. And while the two products might seem like oddly diverse choices, they have one thing in common: they’re both loved by Lindsay. The legging-wearing, perpetually-bronzed star defends her decision to move in two directions simultaneously, saying, “Why not? Girls use [self-tanners] all the time. And I do, and it makes sense.” While a new collection of lower-priced leggings is slated to hit stores next spring, Stay Gold has yet to reveal exactly when the bronzer will go into production. She might be about to make a foray into fashion with her own soon-to-launch line of leggings — but that doesn’t mean that Lindsay Lohan is saving her star style for her signature collection alone. Italian brand Fornarina, who will open a flagship store in New York this year, have just announced that they’ve chosen the actress as the face of their expanding international brand. A label spokesperson tells WWD they selected Lindsay because she “is that very self-confident, dynamic woman, she’s got a lot of attitude.” And, he adds, “That’s what we’re hoping our customer will aspire to.” And while for now Lindsay’s sticking to modeling for the company’s upcoming ad campaign, she reveals to WWD that although she’d love to design for the label in the future, “Right now, it’s just leggings for me.” Tell us: What do you think about Lindsay’s new role as the face of Fornarina?
