Feb/08/2013 at 05:00 PM ET

If you’re in the Northeast, feel free to disregard this and stick to sweatpants on the couch. If you’re anywhere else, bookmark this page for all your outfit needs, from a flirty frock that’s perfect for date night to a casually cool brunch look. We even included a chic work outfit you can toss together in two minutes to make your Monday morning less stressful.

Kate Mara NPG

Saturday night: Kate Mara’s aqua mini will certainly cheer you up in this cold, drab weather. (We found a cute one for just $44.) She tops off the dress with a tough-girl moto jacket (Forever 21 has one for just $32.80), but keeps the rest of her outfit ladylike with a chain-link Dolce & Gabbana bag and nude peep-toe pumps.

The Final Word on SAG Awards Style

Jan/28/2013 at 05:00 PM ET

We’ve rehashed your opinions and our opinions — and George Kotsiopoulos’s opinions! — but we have one more voice to consider when talking SAGs fashion: that of celebrity stylist Mary Alice Haney. She’s dressed Blake Lively, Jennifer Lawrence, Sarah Jessica Parker and more — and has a lot to say about Sunday night’s leading ladies! Here are her thoughts on the evening …

Many of the women walking the red carpet looked like they were a) either going to the prom or b) a contestant in the Miss America pageant (not necessarily a bad thing, as it turns out). The trends of the night were strapless, fishtails and black. So what were my favorites?

I was excited to see what I call the ‘Audrey Hepburn Moment.’ My favorite dress of the night was on Anne Hathaway. My friend, the über-talented Giambattista Valli, created this couture dress — I requested it for a client and was told it was on hold. (Now I know why they didn’t send to me!) Anne and the dress were flawless. Ms. Hathaway continues to dominate the red carpet.

SAG Awards Beauty Breakdown: Lips & Tips

Jan/28/2013 at 12:30 PM ET

The real winners at the SAG Awards? Celeb makeup artists, who apparently found their star clients willing to go bold with their beauty looks on Sunday night. We spotted lipstick in a range of shades from neutral to very vampy; when it came to manis, stars sported everything from classic ballet-pink tips to Pinterest-approved nail art. Here are the 12 ladies whose looks we plan to copy soon — plus the exact lip and polish color they picked.

Anne Hathaway: Makeup artist Kate Lee tells PEOPLE that the deep rose color she used on the best supporting actress winner (Chanel Rouge Coco Hydrating Creme Lip Colour in Taffeta Rose, to be specific) was essentially a more intense version of the star’s pout’s natural color. And while her makeup was subdued, Tom Bachik went funkier with her nails, using two coats of L’Oréal Paris Colour Riche Nail in I Will! to serve as the base for the butterfly accents on her middle and ring fingers.

Say you want to proclaim your love to the world, but your Facebook relationship status is hidden and a tattoo feels a little too permanent. What’s a smitten chick to do?

Well, you could take a cue from these stars, who have been paying tribute to the men in their lives via their jewelry. They certainly aren’t the first celebs to rock the “beau bling” trend, but their gold-plated baubles are among our faves.

Best in Show: Four People's Choice Awards Makeup Looks We Loved

Jan/10/2013 at 11:00 AM ET

Sure, Sandra Bullock and Jennifer Aniston won big, but who looked best at the People’s Choice Awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday? Now that the trophies have been distributed, we give you our best in beauty awards from last night …

Katy Perry

Best makeunder: Katy Perry. In a departure from all those blues, pinks and purples Perry usually sports, makeup artist Todd Delano used “rich, earthy tones” on his Valentino-clad client, he tells PEOPLE. After priming and prepping her skin with Koh Gen Do powder, he added Kevyn Aucoin “Dolline” blush to the apples of her cheeks, buffing Nars “Luster” over it “for an apricot glow,” he explains. “I like to start with a matte blush and add shimmer second.” For eyes, Delano chose Nars “Sophia” shadow — a warm chocolate color — and added dimension on the corners with “Embark” shadow from M.A.C. A little gel liner and white pencil defined and opened up the eyes, and “Whirl” liner and “Syrup” lipstick by M.A.C. completed the big winner’s low-key look.

Who's Behind Lea Michele's Sexy 'Glee' Makeover?

Dec/26/2012 at 10:00 AM ET

Lea Michele promised us a Glee makeover — and a Glee makeover we’ve seen!

The actress, who plays college freshman Rachel Berry on the show, says her character has had a sexy style upgrade this year, and she owes it all to Glee creator Ryan Murphy.

“It was Ryan’s idea to do this shift for Rachel, having her become a little more grown up, a little more New York,” Michele told PEOPLE recently while working with Candie’s. “I basically pick out the outfits with our costume designer, and we take all of the photos to Ryan to approve. It’s really collaborative.”

But it goes beyond the costumes: Rachel’s hair and makeup are more major, too, again, thanks to Murphy.

“He’s so involved with everything — what shoes I wear, what kind of eyeliner I put on,” she says. “I don’t know how he does it. He has so many shows, but still finds the time to help with this.”

And though we’ve been loving Rachel’s sensual smoky eyes this season, Michele says that’s probably her least favorite part of her character’s new look. “I’ve been trying to tone that down a little bit,” she admits. “It’s a b*tch to take off at night!” Tell us: Are you loving Rachel Berry’s revamped look? Or did you prefer her high school makeup and clothes?

Lea Michele is always happy to lend a hand (literally!) to a good cause, and did just that Saturday, when she joined Candie’s for a day of shopping with five girls who are currently patients at the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.

Michele (a Candie’s spokeswoman) met up with the ladies, all between the ages of 15 and 18, at Kohl’s in Los Angeles, giving them each a $500 gift card and goodie bags — and some of her style expertise.

“I’m excited,” she told PEOPLE before the event began. “It’s really awesome. Candie’s is such an amazing company, and I’m excited to be here honoring them, meet these girls and spend some time with them.”
