You can always count on a homemade, Instagram-worthy Halloween costume from Lauren Conrad. There was the tulle-clad Tooth Fairy of 2013. The pretty ghost (which also required a lot of tulle) of 2012 and the Britney Spears throwback moment of 2011. This year the crafty star is giving the direct-to-Pinterest signature LC spin to an old classic: the glittery mermaid.

Either you’ve said it yourself or your friends have said it: Once you cut your hair short, you want to go shorter. (The editor writing this article has always had long hair, so she’s yet to confirm the theory, but she’s heard it enough times to believe there’s some truth behind it.)
And it seems that Lauren Conrad may have caught the haircut bug. The queen of the long, blonde beach wave chopped her tresses last week (to our surprise), and she’s not done. Conrad has debuted a second (!) cut.

We never thought we’d see the day Lauren Conrad cut her hair. She’s had those signature LC long blonde waves since, oh, the beginning of time. And though she’s gone a smidge blonder and a teeny bit shorter, she’s stuck to that center-parted style and it’s worked for her.

If we were going to guess two adjectives for Lauren Conrad‘s wedding look, they would have been “simple” and “classic.” And she didn’t disappoint. The designers behind her custom wedding gown, Mark Badgley and James Mischka, created a dress for the star that they described as (you guessed it) “simple and classic yet glamorous” — and now they’re sharing a glimpse at the creative process behind her wedding gown, which was signature LC.
