Fall Shoe Trend Alert: Nude Heels

George Napolitano/FilmMagic;Clark Samuels/startraks;Jason Merritt/FilmMagic

What better way to show off a fabulous new dress than to keep your heels simple? With such bright colors in for the fall — hot pink, turquoise, purple and vibrant patterns — you should invest in a good neutral shoe. Take a cue from Jessica Alba in Celine mary janes on CBS The Early Show, Ivanka Trump in matte nude heels at a Trump Hotel launch in New York City and Kristen Bell in Kenneth Cole peep-toes at the Superbad premiere. Keeping your heels neutral will not only play up the rest of your outfit, but will make your legs look miles longer! Check out a few of our favorite tan heels:

Dolce Vita double strap patent Mary Jane, $122, dolcevita.com

Steve Madden “Eloppe” platform heel, $110, stevemadden.com

Anne Klein “Wishful” patent pump, $79, macys.com

We can’t stop thinking about shopping for our fall wardrobes, and Kristen Bell’s minidress that she wore last night to the Superbad premiere is a perfect starting place. The lightweight fabric and short sleeves make it perfect for now — and when the weather cools, just add a turtleneck and tights! Get Kristen’s ruffled Kyumi dress in purple (or blue), $215, at revolveclothing.com, or for a less expensive version, try this one, $68, at urbanoutfitters.com. Finish the look with a pair of nude peep toes like Kristen’s sold out Kenneth Cole ones. Try the “Fatima” by Guess, on sale $51 from $99, at piperlime.com for a similar look.

Kristen Bell’s Beauty Obsessions

The Veronica Mars star caught up with PEOPLE’s StyleWatch and gave us the inside dish on how she gets her skin so glowing. Before any makeup, her skincare secret weapon is to give herself an at-home facial with Kate Somerville’s Kate in a Jar, $85, katesomerville.com. “My skin feels rejuvenated and has a healthy, clean glow,” says Kristen Bell. For her fair coloring, she uses Jane Iredale PurePressed Base in Amber, $48, janeiredaledirect.com or Stila Sun, $24, stillacosmetics.com to “warm up her complexion.” To give her cheeks a little extra flush, Kristen swears by Tarte Cheek Stain in Tipsy, $28, tartecosmetics.com. For basic lip color, the actress uses Vincent Longo Lip and Cheek Gel Stain in Liquid Kiss, $23, sephora.com, but to plump her lips she goes with LipFushion Lip Plump and LipFusion XL, $36 and $50, sephora.com and her lip balm of choice is Kiehl’s Baby Lip Balm, $8, (call 800-543-4571). And finally for her eyes, Kristen swears by Clinique Naturally Gloss Mascara in Jet Black, $13.50, clinque.com because “it never gets clumpy!”

Sundance Must-Have: Neutral Knit Beanies

Besides supporting independent films, Sundance is not exactly your typical film festival. While starlets swan around Cannes and Venice in gorgeous gowns, actresses hit the streets of Park City, UT clad in fuzzy boots, tucked-in jeans, ski parkas — and this year, it seems there is one hat that everyone must have! Stars Keri Russell, Gretchen Mol, Kristen Bell, Sienna Miller and Famke Janssen have already been spotted in cozy beanies in neutral shades from oatmeal to gray. Now this is a trend we can get behind — wearable, weather-appropriate, and affordable! The only question that remains: What to do about hat-head?

Check back every day this week for more Sundance coverage on Off the Rack.
