These ladies brought their fierce fashion A-game!

Kerry Washington, Jada Pinkett Smith and Laverne Cox all made our best dressed list for the NAACP Image Awards in Pasadena, California on Friday.

The Scandal star looked stunning in a plunging white gown by Victoria Beckham, and accessorized her glamorous look with Gianvito Rossi heels, Jimmy Choo clutch and diamond stud earrings by Neil Lane.

Another style standout was Smith, who wowed in a strapless teal Marchesa gown which featured intricate ruffled details all throughout. The Gotham actress completed her ensemble with gold earrings and necklace.

A variety of silhouettes were beautifully represented by various attendees including OITNB‘s Cox, who wore a custom micro beaded one-shoulder gown by Marc Bouwer.

In addition, both Tracee Ellis Ross and Taraji P. Henson proved that long sleeve can be just as sexy, especially when it’s plunging!

The Black-ish star, who won Outstanding Actress in a Comedy Series, donned a black embellished Rubin Singer gown with cut-out detailing on the back while the Empire diva, who won for best actress, was outstanding in a Balmain wrap dress.

Kerry Washington's Makeup Artist Shares Exactly How to Get Her 3 Best Beauty Looks of 2015

Dec/23/2015 at 04:00 PM ET

Kerry Washington rarely gets it wrong on a red carpet. And this year, the Scandal actress (and the face of Neutrogena) had such gorgeous makeup looks that we decided our Christmas present to ourselves would be to get tips from her makeup artist, Carola Gonzalez.

Eyes

Gonzalez simply suggests one bronze shadow, the third shade in Neutrogena’s Mink Brown palette, to get this look. Apply it all over your eyelid, blend, and then dust it on your on lower lash lines as well. Finish the eyes by lining your inner water lines and your top lash line with black liner, which Gonzales says will really emphasize your eyes.

Lips
To make sure your bold lips last all night, Gonzalez recommends a lip liner all over the lips as a base. Here, she used like the Dior Contour Lipliner Pencil in Thrilling Plum, and then added moisture with a tinted balm, like Neutrogena’s MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Rich Raisin — which is Washington’s favorite lip shade.

Cheeks
With a warm-toned lip like Washington’s, Gonzalez prefers keeping the skin in the same family to creating a radiant look — so instead of blush, apply bronzer on the apples of your cheeks.

For a semi-natural smoky eye, apply the pale pink shade from Neutrogena’s Long Wear Eyeshadow palette in Cool Plum all over your lids. Then, blend the third shade (a brownish bronze) from your first inner lash, outwards into your crease, before lining the lower lash line with the same bronze shadow.

“A lot of people are scared of smoky eyes because it makes their eyes look smaller,” Gonzales explains. “If you want them to look bigger, always apply a shadow on the lower lash line”

Next, accentuate your eyes with the plum color from the palette just on the outer corners, blending it up into the crease. Finish it off by rimming your inner waterlines with black eyeliner and applying several coats of mascara.

Lips
In order to add color without taking away from your eyes, Gonzalez suggests using a sheer plum shade, like Rich Raisin.

“If you want it to be a little bit less shiny, blot, reapply, and blot it again, Gonzalez suggests. “You’ll still have the color without so much of the shine.”

Cheeks
Create a glowing-from-within look by mixing blush and bronzer on your cheeks. On Washington, Gonzalez mixed Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Blush in Sun Kissed and Healthy Skin Blends in Vibrant.

Eyes
After Applying the gray shade from Neutrogena’s Smoky Steel palette all over your lid, Gonzales swears by smudging dark blue eyeliner (she used Neutrogena’s Nourishing Eyeliner in Twilight Blue) on a firm eyeshadow brush in order to use it as eyeshadow. “When you do this with an eyeliner it actually lasts longer, because it’s creamier and the texture is more pigmented than a regular eyeshadow,” she explains.

Blend the eyeliner onto your lid, creating a pointed cat-eye shape. Then, repeat on your bottom lash line, joining the two points together. Make your eyes pop even more by lining your top and bottom waterlines with black liner.

Lips
Create a strong base on your lips by applying a lip liner similar to your natural lip color all over. Then, add a subtle pop of pink using a sheer bubblegum shade – Gonzalez used Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick in Watermelon.

Cheeks
With a bold smoky eye, your cheeks don’t need much color — so a light wash of a bright pink blush, like Neutrogena’s in Vibrant, is Gonzalez’s go-to.

Which look is your favorite? Are you excited to try any of them? Sound off below.

If the changing leaves and dropping temps weren’t indication enough that summer was over, the fact that celebrities have finally left their yachts and started bringing the style heat should do it. So many stars hit red carpets looking terrific, we decided the only way we could relax this weekend is if we rounded up our faves.

First up: Jessica Chastain at the London premiere of The Martian. Her night sky-evoking Elie Saab gown was perfect for her role as an astronaut in the film, but it was her Piaget High Jewelry earrings that were truly out of this world. Chrysocolla plates were surrounded by diamonds, emeralds, aquamarines and tourmalines for a jaw-dropping jewelry statement possibly unparalleled on the red carpet this year.
