Georgia May Jagger Is the New Face of Material Girl

Pop-star offspring unite! Georgia May Jagger, daughter of legendary musician Mick Jagger, is the new global face of Material Girl — Madonna and daughter Lourdes Leon‘s clothing line.

“To be handpicked by Madonna and Lola as the new face of Material Girl is truly amazing,” Jagger tells PEOPLE. “I’ve always admired Madonna’s style and I’m thrilled to be working with them.”

Previous celebrities to star in the mother-daughter’s brand campaign include Kelly Osbourne, Taylor Momsen and three “real girls.” (Earlier this year, the juniors line hosted a model search to find its next faces.)

This isn’t Jagger’s first modeling gig; she’s graced the pages of several fashion glossies, including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar and ELLE.

The Material Girl line is available exclusively at Macy’s stores and online at macys.com.

Katy Perry vs. Kelly Osbourne: Whose Purple Hair Do You Prefer?

It’s a purple reign: both Katy Perry and Kelly Osbourne dyed their hair purple this week, setting off a new mini-trend.

According to Perry’s stylist, Rita Hazan, the pop star’s longer hair is “purple velvet,” InStyle.com reports. “It’s dark and rich. It’s very punk rock. I love creating colors for her because she always knows how to rock it,” Hazan adds.

Osbourne went purple on Tuesday, Tweeting the process to fans. Earlier this year, after she added a bit of lavender to her gray locks, she told PEOPLE, “I think that I have an addiction to dying my hair, because I always like it to be different. I don’t like being compared to other people.” (Sorry, Kelly, we’re going to do it anyway!) Tell us: Who works her purple best, Katy or Kelly?

What Do You Think of Kelly Osbourne’s Purple Hair?

Wonder what Sharon thinks now! Though Kelly Osbourne’s mum “hated” her grayish-lavender hair, the beloved Brit may take a shine to her daughter’s new purple hair. Kelly debuted the new hue while out in West Hollywood Tuesday, covering up her roots with a sleek black fedora.

Osbourne Tweeted the dying process Tuesday, giving props to hairdresser Judd Minter along the way. And when a fan commented that the starlet is at risk of having her hair fall out from the frequent coloring, she joked, “i wish some of it would! i have so much hair it takes over an hour just to apply the dye!”

Osbourne, formerly a blonde, went gray in January to give her hair some time off, she explained. “I can’t keep bleaching my hair and I want to grow it,” she told PEOPLE. “So I take breaks in between.”

She added a little lavender to her tresses two weeks later, and told PEOPLE, “I think that I have an addiction to dying my hair, because I always like it to be different. I don’t like being compared to other people.” Guess we shouldn’t tell her about Katy Perry’s new color, then. Tell us: Do you like Osbourne’s latest look?

Mark Badgley, James Mischka Reveal the Celebrity They’re Dying to Dress

On Tuesday morning, designers Mark Badgley and James Mischka gave fashion’s finest a Valentine in the form of their fall 2012 collection. Their gorgeous gowns — all red carpet-ready — were inspired by Metropolis, a 1927 German impressionist film.

“It’s always been kind of in the back of our minds,” Mischka told PEOPLE Tuesday before the show. “But then it was released on DVD in November, and we were all of a sudden inspired by it again. It’s all about a strong point of view, about angles, lights, geometry, glamour.”

Though the movie is in black and white, the design duo added pops of color to their collection in the form of emerald green accents and intricate beading. “It’s a very New York, black-based collection,” Badgley said.

Front row fans like Kelly Osbourne, Erin Andrews, Kate Mara and Joan Rivers ate it up. “It was so beautiful,” Osbourne told PEOPLE. “It reminded me of a mix between Scarface and silent films.” Rivers agreed. “I thought it was so glamorous. It was really a New York winter show.”

Kelly Osbourne Adds a Little Lavender to Her Hair

Her mom hated her gray hair — so Kelly Osbourne went ahead and made it purple. The reality starlet hit the red carpet at the Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Center Honors Monday night sporting a subtle new hair hue — her second change in two weeks’ time.

Earlier this month at the People’s Choice Awards, Osbourne explained her unusual hair color choice to PEOPLE. “I can’t keep bleaching my hair and I want to grow it,” she shared. “So I take breaks in between.”

But last week at the Art of Elysium gala, Osbourne admitted she really loves changing her look. “I think that I have an addiction to dying my hair, because I always like it to be different,” she said. “I don’t like being compared to other people.”

So while her hair may be a bit fragile these days, Osbourne doesn’t seem to mind. “I don’t want to break this addiction, I love it,” she shared, pointing out one key benefit of frequent color changes: “I get a new look every day.”

Kelly Osbourne: My Mum ‘Hates’ My Gray Hair

The Osbournes have never been ones to hold back their feelings, so when Kelly debuted a uniquely hued do at the People’s Choice Awards on Wednesday, mom Sharon made her opinion quite known.

“She hates it,” Kelly told reporters outside the awards at the Nokia Theatre in L.A. “This is the woman who made me who I am today and she questions it. I don’t understand it.”

Sharon had three words to describe why she isn’t a fan: “Because it’s gray!”

But Kelly’s choice of shade had purpose, she insisted. “I can’t keep bleaching my hair and I want to grow it,” she explained to PEOPLE. “So I take breaks in between. I did it a year ago. It was more of a lavender-y gray, but I went straight gray this time. I’ll change it tomorrow. I haven’t decided [to what color].”

Kelly Osbourne ‘Sad’ to Be Parting Ways with Material Girl

Guess you can’t live in the material world forever. Kelly Osbourne is signing off as the face of Madonna and Lourdes Leon’s tween clothing line, Material Girl. The reality star is currently on the hunt for her replacement, helping out with a nationwide search to find the next face of the brand.

“I’m sad, but I’m really excited to help pick the next girl and that I got to be a part of this process,” she told PEOPLE at a Material Girl model casting in New York on Monday.

“Kelly was at every audition,” Leon added. “I was only at one and I did the online stuff. It was … difficult because we only get photos and resumes.”

How does one become the next Material Girl? “They get on stage in the middle of Macy’s on a microphone in front of the mall. It’s really intimidating — really scary,” Osbourne said. “But it gave me faith in the female kind again seeing these awesome young girls on stage spilling their guts. One girl drove 20 hours!”
