Katie Holmes is bringing her premium designer collection to the East Coast! The star, who has teamed up with her stylist Jeanne Yang to design a high-end women’s and children’s clothing line, stepped out in Boston this weekend in a red-hot dress from her Holmes & Yang line. While we have seen Katie rocking her own designs on the red carpet, first for the Tropic of Thunder movie premiere and then at her Broadway debut, this is our first peek at her children’s line — and who better to show it off than her equally fashionable daughter Suri Cruise? Mother and daughter each put their own spin on their fiery frocks. Katie adds tough boots and a black blazer, while Suri’s look is completed with leggings and sweet Mary Janes. Katie and Suri’s dresses are available exclusively at Maxfield by special order (call (310) 274-8800 to order) and both come in navy or cream as well as red.

When Katie Holmes first collaborated with her stylist Jeanne Yang to design a gorgeous dress for last year’s Tropic of Thunder premiere, and then again, creating a striking satin jumpsuit for her own Broadway debut, we had a feeling there was a line percolating. And now, a rep for Katie confirms to PEOPLE that a “line will be sold at Maxfield in the fall.” Katie and Jeanne are teaming up for a collection that will include women’s and children’s clothes, according to WWD, which also writes that the “premium designer” line will be full of classic fare and the children’s range is presumably inspired by Katie’s daughter Suri Cruise. Katie Holmes is no stranger to changing up her look, but for nearly a year the star has made shorter hair her signature style — from her banged bob to her pixie cut — and spawned a trend of stars and non-stars alike chopping off their locks. So we could hardly believe our eyes when we saw Katie hit the Valkyrie red carpet in Tokyo just hours ago with lush, full locks that look to be a full foot longer than the bob she’s recently favored. Only time will tell if this was a one-night look or if she’s back to long for a while, but we love that she never stops trying new styles! Tell us: Do you love Katie’s new longer hair? Turns out that Victoria Beckham isn’t the only star with a new ad being revealed today — it’s a big day for the new face of Miu Miu, Posh’s pal Katie Holmes! The atmospheric color ads are also shot by Mert & Marcus and feature the actress against a blazing sky that the label says is meant to evoke “a certain Fellini-esque chaotic excess.” As for the star herself, a statement from Miu Miu explains that she “portrays a luminous icon radiating a sense of mystery and theatricality.” We just know that Holmes has never looked more glamorous, and we can’t wait to see the full set of images as they roll out in magazines this spring. Rumors have been swirling for weeks that Katie Holmes is starring in the next Miu Miu campaign — sources confirm exclusively to PEOPLE.com that the actress will be the next face of the high-fashion line. No details on the specifics of the campaign are out yet, but chances are we’ll have to wait a few more months to see the images as it’s the Italian label’s Spring/Summer ad campaign. Holmes follows in the star-studded footsteps of previous Miu Miu models Lindsay Lohan, Kirsten Dunst and Johnny Depp’s lady-love Vanessa Paradis. As if starring in a Broadway play wasn’t enough, Katie Holmes created her own stunning outfit for the opening of All My Sons last night. In partnership with her stylist, Jeanne Yang, Katie dazzled in a gorgeous jumpsuit of her own creation with influences that seemed to span the decades, from the delicate black lace at the neck fit for an Old-Hollywood screen siren to the Halston-inspired white silk all-in-one gathered at the waist and ankles. It’s not the first time Holmes has worn one of her own creations, sporting a chic Holmes-Yang navy halter dress to the L.A. premiere of husband Tom Cruise’s film Tropic Thunder in August. While there’s no word of anything in the works, we’d love to see Holmes create a clothing line. Tell us: Do you think Katie should be the next star to produce her own collection? Katie Holmes loves all things Roger Vivier — from her sunglasses to her purse (check out her new one!) to her fabulous shoes, she’s a loyal customer. When we caught Suri admiring one of mom’s red pumps a while back, we had no idea she would end up with a custom pair of her own red Roger Viviers! Tim Gunn is never shy about his opinions on Project Runway — calling a dress a “pterodactyl out of a gay Jurassic Park” isn’t exactly holding back. And when PEOPLE talked to the debonair fashion expert at the Tide and Downy Total Care Launch Party, he expressed his disapproval of Katie Holmes’s recent penchant for fall’s new baggy jeans. “I have to say, Katie Holmes has become so much more sophisticated in so many ways, but I think she’s in a dip right now. I can’t explain it.” Gunn actually sees the adaptation of the new look as a move back towards her younger look, saying “She ascended from this tomboyish waif look to an incredible sexy sophisticate. We realize how much style she’s capable of. I don’t get it.” But for those of us who are digging Katie’s baggy look (also spotted on Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston), Gunn does give us hope. “With the right shape, it can work very well.” – Jessica Gold Haralson

It’s been hard to miss Katie Holmes’s recent style switch-up since arriving to New York to start rehearsals for her Broadway debut. Gone are the chic dresses and sleek bob — instead, Katie has been sporting a shorter, wispier ‘do and tons of baggy denim. Prps is even coming out with a women’s style for fall based on how much women love the men’s line, appropriately called “the Boyfriend.” We know Katie is onto a huge fall trend here — she’s not the only star we’ve spotted in baggy jeans lately — but we can’t quite get adjusted to her new look! The actress has already made her banged bob famous and she showed off an even shorter version of the look in L.A. this weekend. Katie Holmes is certainly passing down her trend-setting style to daughter Suri. From their matching bangs to chich peacoats, the Cruise ladies look more stylish every week! And this week looks like no exception with Katie’s assistant placing a large order from celeb-fave baby store Petit Tresor in Los Angeles. So what did the lucky girl get? Katie requested more than $2000 worth of clothing, including tons of girly spring dresses. But, the items that caught our eyes were two T-shirt sets that read “Big Sister” with a onesie that read “Little Sister” or “Little Brother.” No word on whether those are definitely for Suri or are maybe a gift for a friend, but we think it’d be fantastic to see that adorable little girl with an equally cute sibling! The newly-engaged star then headed over to Harmony Lane to to prep for an upcoming jaunt to Sundance Film Festival. The mom-to-be stocked up on a chic and comfy La Rok Chain Doll Dress, a pair of baby-bump-friendly La Made Cashmere Cardigans, and four LinQ Hoodie Dresses in Raspberry, Almond, Black, and Navy. “I need clothes that are comfortable and loose now that I am pregnant!” a glowing Alba explained.

–Style icon KATIE HOLMES put her talents to the test at three-floor designer fabric emporium Mood in New York City. The Mad Money star perused the aisles of the Project Runway-featured store with daughter SURI in tow, selecting bolts of cream and khaki wools for custom suits for herself and hubby Tom Cruise.

–JENNIFER HUDSON got glam at Neiman Marcus in Beverly Hills, stocking up on multiple colors and styles of Natori Couture dresses, including a figure-skimming Couture Basics Gown, $250, in taupe and black.

—KATE HUDSON hit up the aptly named Blonde in Santa Monica in a casual chic outfit of tunic and gladiator sandals.

All eyes are on Katie Holmes this week as she promotes her new comedy Mad Money. The stylish star stayed warm in New York while hitting the talk show circuit by wrapping up in some fabulous coats. In one day, Katie went from a long camel hair Giambattista Valli wrap coat for a morning appearance on Good Morning America to a mini bright Fay peacoat that showed off her killer legs for an evening slot on The Late Show with David Letterman. Though we don’t have Katie’s budget to spend on outerwear, we can still get her look — for a lot less!
