Spotted: Stars’ Cozy Sundance Accessories

Celeb Sundance Fashion

It may be frigid in Salt Lake City, but the stars in town for the Sundance Film Festival have figured out that the best way to punctuate the snowy landscape is with eye-catching accessories! A-listers including Demi Moore, Liv Tyler, Elizabeth Olsen and Kate Bosworth don’t sacrifice style for warmth by accenting winter wear with a variety of seasonal accoutrement. Ashton’s gal chose industrial lace-up booties to trudge through the snow while Tyler, in town on behalf of her dramatic film The Edge, stayed toasty in a fuzzy hat with ear flaps. Newcomer, and little sister to Mary-Kate and Ashley, Olsen kept the freeze out with a cozy wraparound scarf and burgundy beret, which she paired with on-trend leather leggings. And Bosworth, who has two films at the festival, avoided hat hair with cute buffalo check earmuffs. With adorable extras like these, we say: Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow! Tell us: How are you staying warm this winter?Justine Harman

A-listers stepped out in their fashionable best for the 2010 Hollywood Style Awards in L.A. last night, with Gossip Girl‘s Katie Cassidy leading the pack. Dressed in a sexy black Edition by Georges Chakra gown, the TV vixen first caught our attention back in September when we named her an up and coming style star–and apparently, we’re not the only ones who think so! The actress picked up the women’s Style Icon to Watch award. Other fashion fixtures like Kate Bosworth, who wore a minimalist maxidress, and a Kimberly-Ovitz-clad Camilla Belle held their own–and revealed some of the stylish items at the top of their holiday wish lists. “Chloe. I’ve always loved Chloe,” Belle told PEOPLE of her pick, “so whenever they have a collection I’ll go. And there was a little bit of a trend of dresses over the pants…so I’m going to have to try that.” Other attendees included Gleeks like Lea Michele, and her winning co-star Cory Monteith, who was presented with the men’s Style Icon to Watch award by Selena Gomez. –Jessie Goldberg; reporting by Shayna Rose Arnold

Kate Bosworth and Rachel Bilson’s ‘BFF & Baby’ Style Secrets

Jean Baptiste Lacroix/WireImage

Kate Bosworth, Krysten Ritter and Rachel Bilson (below) do just fine in the fashion department but for their upcoming film, BFF & Baby, they let wardrobe designer Ilaria Urbinati take creative control. “Rachel’s character is a lot more insouciantly sexy than the other girls. Her style is very off-the-bus from Omaha,” Ilaria told PEOPLE of dressing Bilson’s petite frame in gingham, denim and cotton in the film–think Daisy Duke meets Brigitte Bardot. But the down-home look didn’t go without a high-end touch. “Rachel is wearing a lot of vintage, denim lines like Current/Elliott, accessories from Bare Collection and Christian Louboutin wedges,” Ilaria said. And unlike Rachel, who Ilaria has known for years and says is “game for whatever,” the stylist had never met Kate before. Bosworth, whose BFF & Baby look is crisp, clean and angular, has a character who “is pretty much 99 percent Calvin Klein collection and Jimmy Choo accessories,” she said. Krysten’s girl-next-door look called for the most wardrobe changes. “She wears a myriad of young designers like Rebecca Minkoff, Jill Stuart, Vena Cava and more reasonably priced labels including Mink Pink, Asos, Keds and–well–a lot of my personal clothes,” said Ilaria, who owns hip L.A. boutique Confederacy. And while the characters did overlap with D&G and Dolce lingerie and knits, their diverse onscreen backgrounds called for three separate styles which all sound pretty fabulous! –Jessie Goldberg

Kate Bosworth Praises Proenza Schouler’s ‘Effortless’ Designs

Gregory Pace/BEImages

When it comes to red-carpet style-stars, Kate Bosworth is one actress that designers can’t wait to drape in their newest creations — and she happily returns the love, especially, it seems, when it comes to Proenza Schouler’s Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez. “They’re so effortless,” Kate told PEOPLE yesterday at the Fashion Group International Night of Stars at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City, where the duo were celebrated as the Star Honorees for Fashion. “True artists. I’m so excited to see what they do every season,” Bosworth enthused. “And they know if I’m not there in person, I dissect their collection online. I so look forward to it. It’s incredible.” She even pow-wowed with the designers that very night before selecting the orange and pink Proenza Schouler shift that she wore to the event. “Literally, I showed up and they said, “’This is what we’re thinking.’ And I said, ‘Great, I love it!’ That was it,” she said. “We know her pretty well,” commented McCollough. “She’s pretty easy to dress. We know what looks good on her. We showed her a few things and everything fit perfectly. She makes our job really easy.” Added Hernandez: “We could have used any of them.” For her part, Kate couldn’t have asked for a better setting for her new frock. “I just get to be their date, which makes me very happy.” –Jeffrey Slonim

Kate Bosworth and Celeb Stylist Pal Launch Social Shopping Site JewelMint.com

Sasha Eisenman

There are few downsides to online shopping: it’s quick, convenient and a little addictive. But sometimes, it’s nice to have a friend around to offer up opinions on your stylish finds, too. Enter JewelMint.com, a new venture from ultra-stylish actress Kate Bosworth and celebrity stylist Cher Coulter (along with social commerce company BeachMint.com), which lets you share your potential jewelry purchases with pals via Facebook and Twitter. Launching today, JewelMint.com features an exclusive jewelry collection designed by Bosworth and Coulter (we love the bright, dangly earrings and chunky bracelets!). To purchase the pieces, users sign up, take a style quiz and pay a monthly subscription fee of $29.99, which gives them access to one piece of jewelry per month (the baubles generally retail for more than $100). Bracelets, necklaces and earrings are handpicked for users based on the results of their style quiz, and once a purchase is complete, shoppers can then show their friends what they’ve bought — or ask for opinions — through their favorite social networking sites. “It’s a natural extension of our friendship, our creative relationship and our love of fashion,” Bosworth says. “We couldn’t be more excited.” Start shopping now at jewelmint.com. – Kate Hogan

Stefanie Keenan/WireImage

We can always count on trendsetter Kate Bosworth to light up a room with her chic and sometimes unexpected sense of style, and last week’s appearance at a Los Angeles dinner for French designer Vanessa Bruno was no exception! Draped in head-to-toe red, the fashion plate paired a scarlet asymmetric cut dress with a matching red jacket and pointy Jonathan Kelsey heels. And while the actress looked stunning in the block of on-trend color–smartly keeping accessories and makeup to a minimum–we can’t help but wonder if this monochromatic look is a little bit too color-coordinated? We want to know what you think. Tell us: Would you match your shoes to your dress and jacket like Kate Bosworth? Vote below!

Kate, Lake and More Join Burberry for a Beauty Tea Party

Courtesy Burberry

Chief creative officer of Burberry Christopher Bailey brought a star-studded lineup of guest together to celebrate the brand’s new Beauty collection in a quintessential Britain-meets-Hollywood way–a tea party in a private Beverly Hills garden. The glamorous lineup of Burberry-clad guests included Kate Bosworth, Lake Bell, Serena Williams, Rachel Zoe and Glee sweetheart Jayma Mays. And the new line is certainly something to raise a teacup to–the Beauty products were inspired by the classic trench coat and are as sleek as what comes down the Burberry catwalk, with the brand’s legendary plaid print splashed across the metallic packaging. The ad campaign even draws from the brand’s British roots, with Bailey choosing “three British beauties, who we’ve worked with before and who are part of the Burberry family–Rosie [Huntington-Whiteley] has this effortless sexiness to her, Nina [Porter] has an edge and attitude and Lily [Donaldson] is a classic British beauty.” Bailey tells PEOPLE, “When you put them all together, you have a pure Burberry expression.” While the tea party may be over, you can still get a piece of Burberry Beauty at exclusive retailers or burberry.com. –Jessie Goldberg
