Katy Perry Puts a Famous Face on Her Warm-up Tee

We love Katy Perry for her over-the-top onstage fashion choices, so it’s no surprise we feel the same about her rehearsal gear, too — especially her Kanye West T-shirt.

MTV Style spotted the pop star sporting the tee in a teaser (below) for her new concert film Katy Perry: Part of Me 3D. The cheeky graphic tee shows West (who guested on Perry’s “E.T.”) as an Egyptian pharaoh — a caricature we’re sure the rapper-turned-fashion-designer would approve of.

The company behind the silkscreened creation is New York City-based Deer Dana. Other celebs that have been artistically interpreted for the sake of fashion include Justin Bieber as a Greek god, a busty — yet realistic — Kim Kardashian (West’s current girlfriend), everyone’s favorite royal redhead Prince Harry and more.

The Target of Kanye West’s Latest Twitter Rant? Clothes

Kanye West Twitter Rant
Danny Moloshok/Reuters/Landov

Lately, Kanye West‘s Twitter account has been quiet, but this past weekend he used it to get something off his chest (again): his thoughts on how poorly dressed New Yorkers are.

“Just driving through the city and I see a few things I hate…” the rapper wrote. He then went on to declare every unfashionable look he spotted in just a five-block trip:

“I hate button up shirts with hoodies,” he Tweeted first. Going into more detail, he added, “I hate sport coats with button up shirts, jeans and dress shoes.”

But that wasn’t the end of it; he then declared his hatred for “khaki trench coats with jeans and off brand work out sneakers,” khaki cargo shorts and “big ass striped scarves.”

His final critique? “I hate long ass sideburns with the line up RnB beard.”

West ended his rant by — not surprisingly — defending his choice words. “#I’m on my snob.”

Since the rapper-turned-designer surely knows how he doesn’t like people to dress, let’s hope new girlfriend Kim Kardashian is taking notes. Tell us: What are your fashion pet peeves?

Taylor Swift Wears a Kanye West Design

How do you signify the end of a feud in the celebrity world? Apparently, through fashion.

In the April issue of Australia’s Harper’s Bazaar, Taylor Swift appears in a fierce fashion spread sporting looks by Miu Miu, Lanvin, Tom Ford … and one Kanye West. The singer wears a striped top by the rapper-turned-designer (left, price upon request) under a Maison Martin Margiela wrap, accessorized with necklaces by Tiffany & Co. and Fiona Paxton. West — who showed a collection at Paris Fashion Week last season — presented another show in the City of Light Tuesday night.

The Australian Harper’s Bazaar team shot Swift in her current city — Nashville — just days after she’d come off of her Vogue cover shoot (and debuted her new bangs). In the interview, Swift touches on her career (her Australian tour kicked off Tuesday) her love life (she someday wants to be married and have “an army of kids,” she says) and fellow stars like Adele, Nicki Minaj and Zooey Deschanel — all of whom she loves.

For more with Swift — and to see additional photos — visit harpersbazaar.com.au. Tell us: What do you think of Swift’s fashion move?

Kanye West Defends Fashion Cred on Twitter

Kanye West Twitter Rant
Danny Moloshok/Reuters/Landov

After debuting his line to mixed reviews during Paris Fashion Week, Kanye West has stayed relatively mum on the topic of fashion — until now.

Following the creation of the possibly fake Twitter handle @dwbykanye, billed as the official page of his line and which has since been suspended, West took to his own verified account to “clarify a few things.”

“I really appreciate the fake DW twitter page but since it’s not official I can’t co sign any information on it,” he told fans Wednesday. The star then detailed his fashion résumé before announcing a new venture, DONDA, named after his late mother.

“DONDA will be comprised of over 22 divisions with a goal to make products and experiences that people want and can afford,” he explained of the enterprise, whose goal is to “pick up where Steve Jobs left off.”
