Tragically, most of us don’t have our own personal glam squad to get us ready for all those parties and weddings on our holiday calendar. But that doesn’t mean you have to rely on the same old hairstyle you wear everyday. We know you want to change things up for those fancier events, so we rounded up five celebrity-inspired styles you can recreate at home.

In our weekly roundup of the looks that are gaining fashion ground (and the ones losing their style street cred), we noticed white is the true color of the season, an easy-to-crib hairstyle gaining momentum and the one dress that needs to be packed away for next spring.

Hough debuted extensions — courtesy of stylists Riawna Capri and Nikki Lee at the Nine Zero One salon in Hollywood — on Tuesday at a pre-concert event for Beyoncé’s Mrs. Carter tour in L.A. And she’s definitely loving the look, sharing her transformation on Instagram with the caption “#changeisgood.”
Capri also posted a snap of the actress’s transition from short to long. Originally, the Great Length extensions (a favorite brand in Hollywood) went past her waist, before Capri cut them into a chest-length angled chop. It also looks like Hough cut some long piecey side bangs to complete her look.
“Don’t worry, It’s just for a project… @juleshough signature short hair will be back eventually,” Capri captioned the above photo. She then told PEOPLE, “Julianne needed a lot of Great Lengths extensions to blend, because she herself has thick hair as well as her hair was so short. We wanted to give her a long shag for an edgier, piecey look. She loves it and can’t wait to rock different hair styles!”
As saucy as the look is, we’re happy to hear her new do is only for a role, because we loved her amazing lob. But we also think it’s fun to change things up (read about one editor’s experience with extensions here). Are you a fan of Hough’s long hair? Sound off below!
Exciting news for jewelry lovers! PEOPLE has the exclusive scoop on a brand-new necklace from Stella & Dot that is poised to become a celeb favorite.
It’s the “Rebel” pendant and the necklace is already available in a gold-plated finish (in fact, it’s a celeb fave and one of the brand’s biggest sellers). It’s a prism shape dangling for a delicate chain — and this piece goes with just about anything.

Julianne Hough gets our style seal of approval for two reasons: One, she’s always on-point with her street style, landing her a spot on permanent rotation in our “Love Her Outfit” gallery. Two, she’s not afraid to take red carpet risks, which we appreciate; whether you love or hate her look, she’s never boring.

We love shoes, and we hate breast cancer, so we were thrilled to hear that tonight is the 20th anniversary of QVC’s FFANY (The Fashion Footwear Association of New York) Shoes on Sale, from which all proceeds go to fund breast cancer research (and big donations to worthy causes happens to be another thing we love.)
