What it is: A crazy-tight (is there any other kind?) rubber corset, used to slim one’s midsection
Who tried it: Zoë Ruderman, PEOPLE.com Senior Style Editor
Why she did it: Because Jessica Alba recently revealed that wearing a corset “day and night for three months” post-pregnancy was how she lost her baby weight. And while I didn’t just give birth, I have a pretty firm policy that I’ll try most everything Alba recommends.
How crazy is it on a scale from one to Kim Kardashian’s blood facial? If I’d worn it as much as she had, a 7, but I did the “lite” version, so a 4.

Jessica Alba: Three Days, Three Cute Outfits
Splash News Online (2)
It’s no surprise to anyone who has ever spent any time on PEOPLE.com that Jessica Alba has some of the cutest street style around.
But even with her stellar track record, we still took notice of her three super-cute looks within 72 hours — and thought we should give her credit for really pulling out all the stops.
For a day of traveling, she went with spill-proof black layers. She toughened up a silky maxi and classic back with a studded leather jacket and added comfy ankle-strap flats.

3 Trends Spotted at the Met Gala: Spikes, Gloves & Punktastic Hair Color
After you’ve clicked through all the amazing (we use that word in a good and bad way) looks stars wore to the annual Met Ball, scroll down to see the punk-ish style themes that kept popping up on the red carpet.

SPIKES: There was perhaps no trend more ubiquitous than these bad boys. Jessica Alba (carrying a Christian Louboutin clutch) and Cameron Diaz (in a golden belt) looked ready to skewer vegetables for a barbecue, while Cara Delevingne reminds us of a sexy porcupine in her sharply studded Burberry gown.

GLOVES: Unlike those spikes, we never could have predicted the presence of these ladylike accessories at Fashion Prom for Punks. But Kerry Washington and Beyoncé wore them with their gowns. And then there was Kim Kardashian, who wore gloves attached to her dress and in the same print.

PUNK HAIR COLOR: Lily Collins (rocking blue streaks), Diane Kruger (who dip-dyed her ponytail pink) and Alicia Keys (with red highlights) are giving us flashbacks to the Manic Panic-fueled days of middle school. Wonder if any of them, including Kerry Washington with her purple-ish mane, will keep the color after the Ball has ended.
Which of these trends would you consider trying?
