The Holiday Surprise Hillary Scott Is Getting This Year (Hint: It’s Jewelry!)

She already received some major bling this year — namely that gorgeous diamond engagement ring — but Hillary Scott was surprised with a little extra sparkle before the CMT Artists of the Year special in Nashville on Nov. 29.

The Lady Antebellum singer — plus fellow honorees Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley, Kenny Chesney, Jason Aldean and bandmates Dave Haywood and Charles Kelley — received a one-of-a-kind gem from jewelry designer David Yurman in honor of her country music accomplishments.

When Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott took to the American Idol stage recently, she was wearing something extra special: custom-designed bling. The country star and her stylist, Lee Moore, collaborated with jewelry line Lia Sophia to create a one-of-a-kind piece for her big television performance, where the band debuted their latest single. According to a Lia Sophia rep, Moore and Scott wanted a “jumble of treasure” on the singer’s microphone hand, so with limited time to work, the company took their existing “La Belle Rose Wrapped II Linear” bracelet and switched out the stones to match Scott’s fiery reddish-orange top. The singer ended up wearing several of the linked bracelets on one hand, and Lia Sophia sent her their “Blake” bracelet to add some extra texture and sparkle. The end result? Lady Antebellum’s frontwoman Hillary Scott might have taken home five Grammy awards last night, but her bold new fringe caused just as big a bang. Following the lead of trend-setters like Sandra Bullock, Hillary debuted her own take on Hollywood’s latest hair obsession when she unveiled a lash-sweeping style on the red carpet. The singer secured a spot as one of the night’s best dressed by setting off the coif with a with an equally striking Roberto Cavalli gown, Martin Katz gems and bejeweled Rene Caovilla clutch.
