On Sunday, Cheryl Cole paired $425 printed corduroy “Silo” skinnies with a cropped boucle jacket for a stylish jaunt through LAX. The next day, mama-to-be Hilary Duff topped the brand’s $1,170 georgette dress with a sculpted blazer for a visit to Good Morning America. Later that same day, Nicole Richie sported a pair of $660 “Renell” jeans with gladiator booties and all-black basics while out in L.A.

Mad Men may not be on the air at the moment, but that sexy ’60s style lives on thanks to Banana Republic’s new line of clothes, inspired by the Joan Harrises and Peggy Olsons of the past.

And while we’ve found ourselves going “mad” for the line, it appears Hollywood has, too! Gwen Stefani stepped out earlier this month in the black lace top ($45), which 90210 star Jessica Stroup dressed up for an event over the summer. Giuliana Rancic wore the same blouse in gold for a taping of E! News, too.

Emmy Rossum took her love of lace up a notch, sporting the black knit grace lace dress ($150) on a movie set in Los Angeles. Jaime King rocked the look, too, wearing it in white to a party at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont.

Mom-to-be Hilary Duff is even in on the action; she carried the grey animal-print cardigan ($89.50) while vacationing in Brazil in September. They may not be heading to an advertising office, but we think these ladies sure look slick in their Mad Men-inspired styles. SHOP BACK-TO-SCHOOL STAR STYLE

Work it, ladies! Hilary Duff and Top Chef‘s Padma Lakshmi are breaking a sweat with Jenny McCarthy and Christie Brinkley in Danskin’s new “Move for Change” campaign, which debuts in magazines this fall.

Sporting looks from Danskin’s activewear line, each woman is photographed doing her daily fitness routine: Duff hits the trails; Lakshmi throws punches in the ring; McCarthy practices yoga; and Brinkley dances on stage in Chicago. The hope is that the campaign will show women everywhere that they can easily be fit and fabulous and follow a healthy lifestyle.

“The Danskin campaign is women of all ages — 20s, 30s, 40s and 50s — what they like to do to stay in shape and how they keep fit in mind, body and soul,” Duff said in a statement. And according to Lakshmi, the gear itself is timeless, too. “Danskin is a great brand that we’ve all grown up with,” she added.

To promote its healthy (and helpful) message, Danskin is donating money to each star’s favorite cause, too, including Duff’s Blessings in a Backpack, Lakshmi’s Endometriosis Foundation of America, McCarthy’s Generation Rescue and Brinkley’s Ellen P. Hermanson Foundation.

LEARN HOLLYWOOD’S ON-THE-GO FITNESS TRICKS

When it comes to her hair, Hilary Duff has been experimenting with the color wheel lately. But the newlywed star — who recently went back to blonde after going brunette (and cutting bangs) — has an explanation for all of the quick changes: boredom. “I was like ‘I’m bored and I like wanted to dye my hair really really blonde,’ and then I got scared — and then it turned out really blonde,” she told PEOPLE at the The Beauty Detox Solution book launch party in West Hollywood on Wednesday. “I haven’t been this blonde and my sister’s like calling me Lizzie [McGuire] which is so funny,” she says, referring to her star-making role on the Disney Channel. “I’m like, ‘No please don’t call me that!’ [But] it might just be that I feel like I’m really blonde because I haven’t been in so long.” While experimenting with her color recently, Duff just couldn’t get it exactly like she wanted it. “I was at the salon two days a week for the past two weeks and it was driving me crazy. But you know when you’re just not happy? You’re like, ‘I need this tweaked and fixed,’ and so it was just me being mental,” she admits. But no matter how “mental” she becomes about her hair color, Duff says hubby Mike Comrie loves her regardless. “He loves me blonde,” she says, “but when we met I had brown hair so I think he loves me anyway.” Lucky gal! Another week, another hair change for Hilary Duff! The starlet switched up her look yet again this week — just days after debuting bangs — stepping out in Los Angeles with light blonde locks. In late February, Duff dyed her hair brown, adding feathers to give it a funky twist, but apparently, the switch was short lived. The singer-actress has flip-flopped her look quite a bit in recent years: though she darkened her do in September, she was blonde for most of winter. And while she was a tow-headed bride — she married hockey star Mike Comrie in August — she’s been known to really get in touch with her darker side, choosing a deep brown hue for a period in 2006. The actress Tweeted the trim on Saturday night — “new moon…new me,” she told followers — sharing a photo of her stylist friend snipping her hair. Later, she posted a second shot, thanking fans for supporting her new style. “A success! Thank god you guys love it makes me feel so good!” The actress has been a bit of a hair chameleon over the years, going from blonde to brunette (and back again) several times, dying it extra-dark in 2006 and even adding bangs in 2007. When it came to settling into married life with Mike Comrie, there were no surprises for Hilary Duff–until it came to his closet. “I can’t believe how much he actually likes clothes!” the newlywed told PEOPLE Thursday night at Lucky‘s 7th annual Lucky Shops VIP event. “Right now we have two separate closets, and mine is significantly bigger than his, but he needs a lot of space too! He has a lot of suits and his jeans are huge.” And while she’s well aware of her athletic hubby’s size by now, the star still can’t get over how much larger his clothes are compared to hers. “I bought him a bunch of clothes for his birthday and I was like, ‘this is your size? It’s huge!’ But I don’t know. Maybe it’s because he has a big butt because he’s a hockey player.” One thing she isn’t look forward to? Consolidating their closets for an impending move. “It’s funny, now we’re moving into a smaller house and we’re going to have to downsize in a big way. Before getting hitched to NHL player Mike Comrie, bride-to-be Hilary Duff is leaning on trainer-to-the-stars Harley Pasternak to help get her in top wedding form. With other svelte A-listers like newlywed Megan Fox and soon-to-be married Jennifer Hudson on his client list, the author of The 5-Factor World Diet clearly knows what it takes to get women in gown-ready shape. “The key is to have amazing shoulders, amazing arms, posture is really important,” Pasternak tells PEOPLE. “But it’s also important to have a really tight midsection, because the way a wedding dress hugs your midsection, you really want it lean and tight.” So how is he upping the ante on Hilary’s usual gym regimen to get her ready for the big day? “Instead of a five-minute cardio warm-up and a five-minute cardio cool-down, maybe we extend those cardio phases to 15 minutes before and after our workout,” says Pasternak. And Hilary’s pre-wedding routine isn’t just about fitness—diet is also key. Each fuel-charged day consists of five meals: a breakfast burrito, mid-morning snack (berry smoothie), lunch (chopped salad), afternoon snack (apple cinnamon oatmeal cookie) and dinner (“she loves Japanese food”). We all know keeping fit is de rigueur in Hollywood, so how is the former tween queen responding to the stringent workouts? “I think she vocally disliked them all!” says Pasternak. The May cover girl even reveals where she spends much of her time clicking around, saying, “My absolute favorite place to shop is Net-A-Porter. If you’ve ever wondered what being a Hollywood actress really feels like, talk to Hilary Duff, who tells Nylon, “I walked into a mall one day and was mobbed by people. And I just remember feeling really different than everyone else. I felt really loved. But it was weird at the same time.” Things got even more surreal when she signed on to play a starlet this season on Gossip Girl: “I was a little hesitant. It was kind of close to home… then I realized, I would never say something [that Olivia says] like, ‘Oh, this is just for the cameras.’” Her close relationship with her mother helps keep her grounded. “My mom is rad. Dan Humphrey, played by Penn Badgley, isn’t the only thing Gossip Girl‘s two most famous blondes have in common. Hilary stars alongside models Sophie Srej and Gracie Carvalho in a New York City street-inspired ad campaign. Combining Hilary’s personal style and the individuality of New Yorkers — the inspiration behind her designs — the Femme for DKNY Jeans fall ’09 ads were shot on the Manhattan streets by Scott Schuman, best known for his street style blog The Sartorialist. With Hilary joining the cast of Gossip Girl this fall, we couldn’t think of a better theme than the gritty and glam streets of New York for her latest design venture. Hilary Duff has come a long way from her Disney princess days. Not only is the former child star gearing up to play the lead in a remake of the classic outlaw flick Bonnie and Clyde, she’s also getting ready to release the downtown cool clothing line that we told you about back in February. And at an AIDS charity event this week, Hilary chatted about her new ventures, including her collection with DKNY Jeans. The actress admits to Nylon that Femme for DKNY Jeans is “kind of a selfish line, because it’s skinny jeans, which look the best on me.” She also included fun personal touches like multiple-size belt loops. “Sometimes I want to wear a skinny little belt wrapped around a million times, or sometimes I want to wear a really fat one that won’t ever stay in place, slung low. So it just has a lot of options,” she explains. And while Hilary was sure to include her style favorites, her design wheels started spinning with inspiration from “normal girls.” “I’ll be walking down the street and think, oh she looks cute!” Hilary says. “Especially being in New York because everyone has such unique styles.
