‘Sexier and More Confident’ Heidi Montag Designing Clothing For Her New Body

Chris Weeks/WireImage

Continuing her aesthetic overhaul, Heidi Montag, who famously underwent ten plastic surgery procedures in one day to become what she calls “the new me,” has also tapped into her inner-fashion designer. The reality star packed four dresses of her own creation for her trip to Las Vegas last weekend, where she co-hosted Pure nightclub’s Valentine’s Day bash with husband Spencer Pratt. On the red carpet, the 23 year-old opted for a body-hugging, fuchsia dress. “Pink is a color full of love and it’s so vibrant and beautiful–and it was, of course, very festive,” she tells PEOPLE. “It was exactly what I wanted to wear for my new body. I’ve never felt sexier or more confident in my life. It was revealing but still kept something to the imagination. It hugged all my curves perfectly.” As for where she finds inspiration, Montag says, “Most of my inspiration comes from old movies and I have tons of books on old Hollywood. I just love the magnificence of that time–the sequins, the sexiness. I want to capture the true luster of Hollywood in all my designs.” Montag also professes her admiration for designers like Coco Chanel (“so classic and timeless”) and Dolce & Gabbana (“They have such a sexy shape and have women looking their best in every silhouette,” she says). Expect more Montag-made clothing to surface: “This is just the beginning. I’d really love to eventually wear mostly my only designs. And I really would love to do a low end line [for my] fans and it can be really accessible and then a one of a kind couture line to really showcase my creativity.” But just around the corner? “Look out for my bikini line this summer!” – Jen Garcia

Heidi Montag‘s recent experience battling it out in the Costa Rican jungle on I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here! was a far cry from the luxe L.A. lifestyle she’s used to. And while we’ve been hearing rumors of a dry shampoo inspired by her jungle living, the reality star finally cleared things up yesterday on The View. Flanked by Barbara Walters and her husband Spencer Pratt, Heidi held a spray bottle throughout her interview, before revealing, “This is my dry shampoo. This is my own product that I made for the jungle that is not even for sale yet,” adding, “It’s eco-friendly, and everything.” Tell us: Are you interested in using Heidi’s dry shampoo?

Heidi Montag’s New Role: Bikini Designer!

Pedro Andrade/Pacific Coast News

When it comes to fashion, Heidi Montag is proving to be her own best inspiration. For her first foray into design, the reality star teamed with affordable chain Anchor Blue for a sexy collection called Heidiwood, which has since stopped production. And now Heidi has partnered with celeb-favorite swimsuit designer Ashley Paige for a yet-to-be-named swimsuit collection that is being shown as early as next week! Heidi will debut six styles from the collaboration on I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here beginning June 1, which will be available immediately on AshleyPaige.com. The rest of the collection will be shown in an I Dream of Jeanie-themed runway show during Miami Fashion Week in July. Heidi herself will take to the runway to show off the ’60s-inspired collection alongside blonde models showing off specially designed T-shirts that read “I Dream of Heidi”. Heidi and Ashley’s full collection will hit major department stores and budget stores as they have both a high-end luxury line and a lower priced point line planned so everyone can afford a Heidi and Ashley suit! Anchor Blue Pulls the Plug on Heidi Montag’s “Heidiwood” Line

Matt Sayles/AP

After just one year, Heidi Montag‘s fashion line “Heidiwood” for Anchor Blue is being discontinued. Marla White, Director of PR & Brand Development at Anchor Blue Retail Group, tells PEOPLE “Anchor Blue and Heidi Montag are pleased with what Heidiwood for Anchor Blue accomplished during this past year. However Anchor Blue chose not to extend the Heidiwood contract after the initial year as they will be concentrating solely on what their heritage, their foundation, is based on — denim. They are very excited about an initiative they are launching in February ’09 for guys and girls that will carry throughout the coming year.” Wonder if that means Heidi will be looking to design somewhere else. Tell us: Are you sad to see Heidiwood go?

Heidi Montag Rocks the Same Outfit Twice in One Week!

Jean Baptiste Lacroix/WireImage; Richard Young/Startraks

Everyone has a favorite dress that they love to wear over and over again — but to two major events in one week? Heidi Montag hit Kitson to promote her new clothing line Heidiwood in a Chloe dress and matching shoes, only to wear the exact same outfit days later to the White House Correspondents Dinner in D.C. There is definitely nothing wrong with wearing the same outfit twice, but maybe give it a little bit more space? This is clearly becoming a habit for Heidi. Tell us: Would you wear the same outfit twice in one week knowing you’d be photographed both times?

Shoe-Off: Kate Bosworth vs. Heidi Montag

Jean Baptiste Lacroix/WireImage; NPG

We’ve been seeing outrageous star fashions all over Hollywood recently. And when Kate Bosworth first stepped out in these funky Chloe wedges at the beginning of the month while promoting her new movie 21 we thought they were a little questionable. Kate, however, is known for pushing the fashion envelope and made them seem totally cool. Then this weekend, Heidi Montag followed in the fashionable star’s footsteps, sporting the $750 patent wedge booties while promoting her clothing line, Heidiwood, at Kitson in L.A. — and we can’t say we loved the look quite as much on her. The shoes somehow seem a little too “high-fashion” for the Hills star. But we want to know what you think. Tell us: Who rocks the designer heels better: Kate Bosworth or Heidi Montag? Would you wear them?

Heidi Montag Hits the Runway for Her Heidiwood Line

Matt Sayles/AP

With blogger Perez Hilton at the mike and on-again, off-again fiance Spencer Pratt in the audience, Heidi Montag did her best catwalk strut for the debut runway show of her Heidiwood for Anchor Blue line. And the reality star felt more than at home on the catwalk, telling PEOPLE “I feel so good and it’s so fun to be up there [on the runway], and it was just an amazing night and everything really came together so this is just such an awesome night.” As for her designs, Montag admits a weakness for “zebra print. I’m obsessed with it, and when I was doing my line, I was doing things that inspired me and things that I wish I could find in clothes. So I was like I love zebra print. There’s not enough out there, and so I really wanted to incorporate that in little details.” But don’t count the budding designer out of future acting gigs. “I’d love to play Sydney Bristow on Alias. That’s my ideal role, like badass, that’s what I want to do, like Angelina Jolie roles.” Click here to shop Heidi’s line, all for under $50. Tell us: Will you buy Heidi’s designs?
