Heidi Klum‘s life is tough: she’s been to so many Golden Globe Awards ceremonies that she can only narrow her list of favorite dresses down to six choices! We kid, but seriously, the supermodel has had some major fashion hits (and perhaps a few misses) in her years as a Globes attendee, and chooses some of her favorite looks in a new post on her AOL blog.

“I like to change up my look and try something totally different each year,” she writes, noting a roomy white dress (left) she wore to the 2007 awards. “I was definitely hiding my post-baby weight this year,” she continues. “I wanted a flowy dress that wasn’t too tight but still stunning.” The getup — which included Christian Louboutin shoes and Givenchy gloves — had a downside, though. “It definitely was not easy to eat and drink with my gloves all night, something I didn’t think about beforehand!”

Another favorite is her 2011 dress, a sexy Marc Jacobs number (center). “Last year was all about the ’70s, which I channeled,” she writes. “I feel like I had five pounds of bangles on each arm … the things you do for fashion!”

A third look Klum loves is a low-cut Costume National gown (right), worn to the 2006 awards. “I was super-tan after a vacation, so I wanted to wear a dress that would show off my bronzy glow,” she explains.

So what is the Project Runway hostess wearing this year? She’ll unveil her 2012 Globes dress to her AOL readers at 2 p.m. ET on Sunday, just before she heads for the awards. She has major designers and Project Runway alumni dying to dress her, but Heidi Klum still appreciates a good deal.

“Sometimes it’s really cool to have an amazing piece where someone is like, ‘Wow, where is that sweater from? It’s amazing. Is it from snazzy Balenciaga or something?’” she tells Anderson Cooper on Anderson Friday. “And you’re like, ‘No, it’s actually from J. Crew.’”

To that end, the model and Runway hostess enjoys mixing her less-expensive items with designer buys — some of which she finds at sample sales. “There’s actually a big one coming up on [Jan. 3] which I’m excited about — one of my most favorite designers,” she shares. “I have to make sure I’m not working that day!”

She’s worn some of the sexiest lingerie in the world as a Victoria’s Secret model, but Heidi Klum believes there’s something even more sensual to wear under your clothes: perfume.

“For me, it’s something to complete the look. It’s almost kind of like great underwear,” she said. “No one can really see it but it makes you feel sassier and sexier.”

Speaking to PEOPLE at an event for her new fragrance, Shine, in New York’s Times Square last week, Klum said her scent — her first international fragrance — is “complicated. I really tried to look for something that didn’t exist, which is hard,” she explained. “I think 23 or 26 perfumes come out every year, and it’s hard to come up with something you haven’t smelled before.”

To that end, “Shine is a little more modern, powdery, but spicy,” she shared. “It’s a great marriage of sweet and spicy.” Notes include pink peppercorn, sunflower, lily of the valley, pear, mandarin orange and vanilla.

So to keep herself smelling sweet and spicy all day, Klum spritzes her scent in her hair, on her clothes — “I just kind of spray it everywhere,” she admitted. “And then I spray everyone else, too.” Including strangers!

“When we were in the elevator with security today, I sprayed it on all the guys,” she revealed. “Some of them I’ve known for years, but there was another guy I didn’t know.” She didn’t cut him any slack, though. Making spraying noises, she joked, “I was like, ‘I don’t know you, but ch ch.’”

She has every top designer falling at her feet, but Heidi Klum always makes a point of supporting her favorite Project Runway alumni when she’s walking the red carpet. To celebrate some of the show’s brightest stars, she’s picked a few of her favorite looks from auf’d (and winning) contestants, highlighting them on her website.

Top billing goes to a dreamy Christian Siriano creation Klum wore while hosting the 60th annual Emmy Awards in Los Angeles. “I thought this was such a unique and different dress,” she writes. In fact, gowns by Siriano make up nearly half of the list — a testament to the season 4 winner’s talent and growing popularity.

A black-and-white polka-dot dress by season 8 finalist Mondo Guerra — which she wore to a Black Swan screening in 2010 after asking him to make it in a day — earns raves, too. “As people know, Mondo was my choice for winner that season of Project Runway,” Klum says, referring to the heated debate that took place between the judges that year when choosing a champ. “I loved getting to support him in this way.”

For a more casual look, Klum chooses a red ensemble by Daniel Vosovic, a promising season 2 finalist. “I love his polished sportswear,” she says of the young star, who dressed her for a gallery opening last month. Heidi Klum is letting us look deep into her soul with her 2011 Halloween costume, an anatomically-correct — and potentially creepy — bodysuit.

The outfit, called “Visible Woman,” was hand-painted by designer Martin Izquierdo and is what Klum will wear this weekend when she hosts a Halloween party at TAO Nightclub at the Venetian in Las Vegas. She’ll also sport custom prosthetic teeth created by her dentist, Dr. Gregg Lituchy. (The Project Runway host will celebrate again Monday during a HobNob Wines-sponsored bash at PH-D Rooftop Lounge in New York’s Dream Downtown hotel.)

“It’s kind of like a dead body with the first layer of skin ripped off,” she tells PEOPLE of her costume. “It’s basically like me naked.” In fact, every vein and muscle was painted on to replicate her own body structure. “All my veins and blood will all be visible,” she says with a laugh. “You don’t feel quite naked with it because it is so colorful.” As for her husband Seal, she says, “He liked it!”

Klum, this year’s UNICEF Trick-or-Treat Ambassador, admits that Halloween is her favorite holiday, and it shows: In the past several years, the party hostess has dressed up as an apple from the Garden of Eden, Lady Godiva and, in 2010, a larger-than-life superhero. So she suggests going all out when creating your own disguise.

“The amazing thing about creating your own costume,” she explains, “is that you can be sure no one else has the same.” Some of her favorites? “One guy came as a mattress one year,” she says of a past party. “It was annoying but it was an awesome costume.”

But beware: Creativity is key for getting into a Klum-hosted Halloween bash. “I always put on my invitation, ‘Costume required,’ because if you’re not dressing up, you’re not getting in,” she warns.

One year, she recalls, Prince Andrew showed up — but she thought it was someone dressed as the royal. “I said to him, ‘Who are you coming as, Prince Andrew?’” recalls Klum. “He wasn’t dressed up at all and I was like, ‘How did they let you in?’” At first he looked a bit perplexed until she realized he was the real thing. Then, she says, “I had bright red lips so I smooched his face and he had kisses all over.” Tell us: What are you wearing for Halloween this year?

This season’s Project Runway contestants have already faced challenges involving pet stores and stilts — and they’re only on episode five. But tonight, they’ll continue to hit the ground running by creating apparel to wear with a new Heidi Klum for New Balance lifestyle sneaker — a challenge Klum chose herself.

After meeting at the New Balance Track & Field Center in New York City, contestants will receive their task, which mandates that they incorporate two materials used in the sneakers — denim and suede — into their looks. The winning items, along with the Heidi Klum for New Balance shoes featured during the episode, will be sold as part of Klum’s collection on amazon.com/HKNB.

“I love a fashion sneaker that doesn’t look like it belongs in the gym, which was the inspiration for my new Heidi Klum for New Balance sneakers and my Project Runway challenge,” Klum said in a release. “The designers created some really fun pieces to go with the sneakers. BODYWATCH: HEIDI KLUM’S RUNNING MATES

“I’m not here to blend in,” Heidi Klum boldly declares. As a style and entertainment icon, the supermodel certainly does not — and neither do her favorite things, which she shares in a post on Theodora & Callum‘s blog. It may be surprising that the supermom’s favorite junk foods include a “Big Mac, French fries and a large Coca-Cola,” for instance. Though when the Project Runway host isn’t snacking at McDonald’s, her favorite restaurant is Nobu, where she likes to order “yellowtail sashimi with jalapeño, salmon new style sashimi and uni.” The German beauty also says that her inspiration is “everything around [her]” and that she “can never just pick one” favorite designer. For makeup, however, Klum picks a “nude lip and a red nail,” because there is “nothing better than a nice, clean manicure/pedicure.” And when she takes a break from working and attending events (her favorite parties include “kids’ birthday parties, weddings and Halloween”), she de-stresses with “loud music in the car.” Project Runway, Klum’s favorite TV show (no surprise there!) premieres this Thursday, July 28, at 9 p.m. ET on Lifetime. –Caroline Slutsky

The key to always looking fashionable and fab? Accessories! Project Runway judge Heidi Klum is out to prove that no outfit is complete without a few baubles by launching a new jewelry line with QVC. Wildlife by Heidi Klum will debut on the home shopping channel this fall and will feature bold statement pieces including cocktail rings, bracelets, earrings and necklaces. But don’t expect her collection — boasting antique silvertone and brasstone pieces accented with custom-made simulated gemstones in hematite, smoky quartz and opal — to be dainty! “Each piece is designed to give any outfit a boost, and the vibrant colors and intricate designs are guaranteed to get noticed,” Klum said in a statement. “Each piece in the collection is special by itself and can stand alone. I don’t think you need to match anymore; that’s out! Your earrings don’t have to match your bracelet and rings. In order to help her fans smell their best, Heidi Klum had to get a little moody when creating first signature fragrance, Shine. “There are different moods that as a fragrance creator you can travel to,” Klum tells WWD. “But for my first one, I wanted what I felt my staple would be. I wanted it to be sensual and feminine, but still luxurious and expensive-smelling — because I think there are so many perfumes out there that smell cheap and too sweet.” Klum, who’s created a style empire for herself as a model, designer, television host and the artistic director of European cosmetics company Astor, worked with Aurélien Guichard, Jean Guichard and Olivier Pescheux of Givaudan to create her floral fragrance. The perfume boasts notes of mandarin, pear and pink peppercorn; a heart of mimosa absolute, lily of the valley and sunflower; and a drydown of vanilla, Venezuelian tonka bean and musk cosmone. The fragrance — which comes in a bottle surrounded by light-reflecting rings that emulate waves — arrives in department stores in September, with prices starting at $17. And while Klum may have been a stickler when it came to creating her signature scent, she was okay with the ads being a little less than perfect. “You can sell a dream, and you can sell a lifestyle that a woman aspires to have, but you can’t completely trick her,” Klum says. “If people retouch me too much, I get upset — yes, you can help me out a little here and there, but don’t go overboard.
