Usually at Hollywood awards shows, actors honor each other, with a director or producer tossed in for good measure. But Monday at L.A.’s Smashbox Studios during the Hollywood Style Awards presented by the Palazzo Las Vegas, the tables were turned a bit, as stars celebrated the artists who make them look their best when the cameras aren’t rolling.

Presenting the evening’s top awards were stylish stars such as Zoe Saldana, Mandy Moore, Rose McGowan, Kristin Davis and Eva Longoria, who paid tribute to their hair stylist, makeup artist, colorist, wardrobe stylist and photographer, respectively.

Longoria, who proved sometimes pain is beauty, struggled to take the stage in a curve-hugging frock. She joked, “I can’t walk in this dress! It’s Victoria Beckham so you know its size negative four.” But after collecting herself, the Desperate Housewives star introduced photographer of the year Randall Slavin, saying, “If it was up to me I’d have the whole world see me how Randall Slavin does. He has the ability to make a girl look persuasive and fierce and fragile and delicate and a million other things that you never thought could be possible.”

Taking the evening’s top award was designer of the year Alice Temperley of Temperley London, who recently received an MBE from Queen Elizabeth and famously created Pippa Middleton’s emerald green gown for the Royal Wedding reception.

“It was amazing to go into Buckingham Palace and meet [The Queen] and now the flattery of being on the other side of the planet being honored for what we do especially when you work so bloody hard … it’s a big compliment,” she said after accepting her trophy from fellow Brit and London neighbor, Alice Eve.

Jaime King presented teen Chloë Moretz with the one to watch award, and Khloé Kardashian Odom had the honor of awarding half-siblings Kendall and Kylie Jenner with the stylish sisters trophy. “Kendall and Kylie are incredibly bright, down-to-earth and amazingly stylish. I really wish I was that stylish at their age,” she told the crowd. “I still take inspiration from them now.”

Saturday night, Eva Longoria was the hostess with the mostess … outfit changes. The pint-sized Desperate Housewives star, co-hosting the 2011 NCLR ALMA Awards with pal George Lopez, changed gowns a staggering eight times.

Longoria hit the red carpet in a coral dress with a dramatic train, changing into an off-white one-shoulder gown, fitted maroon mermaid gown and shoulderless halter dress as the evening went on.

The actress also worked a lilac look and a fitted white full-sleeve gown as her hosting duties continued. While posing with the award for favorite TV series — which went to her Desperate Housewives — Longoria worked a asymmetrical jersey column gown by Monique Lhuillier. And she also snuck a custom blush look by Lorena Sarbu into the mix. She accessorized several of her dresses with Bochic earrings.

Though eight outfits seems like a lot, it was nothing compared to her 13 outfit changes at last year’s MTV Europe Music Awards, where Longoria slipped into a handful of risqué gowns … and an oversized ham costume.

It’s true: Desperate Housewives’ gorgeous star Eva Longoria has a fashion flaw. Well, temporarily. “I wear braces,” she confesses in the July issue of InStyle. Pulling out a photo from her upcoming film Cristiada, she says, “Look how crooked my bottom teeth were, and I never even knew.” Despite her imperfect teeth, Longoria always manages to turn heads when out with famous friends like Jessica Alba and Victoria Beckham. But she wasn’t always called a stunner; in fact, she was once considered the homely one in her family because her three older sisters were blonde. “I wasn’t allowed to wear makeup when I was young,” she adds. “I would melt crayons and try to put them on my lips, and I would use watercolor for eye shadow.” Now a pro at glamming up — “I can even put them on in the car,” she boasts of her false-lash application skills — she enjoys using bronzing powder and a few key basics. “Mascara is very important. If I were on a desert island, I would have to have mascara and lip balm,” she shares. Also important to the petite star? “High heels,” she states. “I love designer shoes. During a mini press tour of New York City this week, Eva Longoria appeared to work a mini trend: matching her satin heels to her chic little dresses. In town to promote her new cookbook, Eva’s Kitchen, Longoria was totally color-coordinated, but we think she really made it work. Tuesday morning, the Desperate Housewives star popped into ABC Studios for an appearance on Good Morning America wearing a flouncy, v-neck white dress and shiny matching pumps. The day before, we spotted her at CBS’s The Early Show in a pretty pink frock by Victoria Beckham Collection, paired with ballet-slipper pink heels. Later that evening, she showed up for a taping of the Late Show with David Letterman in a form-fitting navy number and deep blue peep-toe shoes. What a ham! Notoriously glamorous Desperate Housewives actress Eva Longoria Parker was happily roasted for the sake of fashion on Sunday, changing 13 times while playing host at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Madrid, Spain. The star treated the audience to more than a dozen designer looks while introducing a variety of celebrity guests, including another quick-change artist and two-time EMA host Katy Perry, who helped the host strip down to a bedazzled onesie. Though Eva initially walked the red carpet in a sateen LBD, she quickly changed into an oversized ham costume as a nod to Lady Gaga’s infamous meat dress from this year’s MTV Video Music Awards. She then donned not one, but two designer bodysuits, one by Viktor & Rolf (the duo behind Rihanna’s mohawk dress) and a second from French designer Gianfranco Ferré. Even her gowns were risqué, opting for a frothy chocolate brown Emilio Pucci number with a tie-up midriff and leg-lengthening blush suede pumps. And if you think all of those costume changes would tucker the petite actress out, think again: “Thank u Madrid! I love Espana!! MTV EMA’s you rocked! Had so much fun!,” the gracious host Tweeted. Much like her fiery and always fashionable onscreen Desperate Housewives character, Gabrielle Solis, Eva Longoria Parker is also promising to stir things up, at least stylistically speaking, as the host of the upcoming MTV Europe Music Awards on Nov. 7. “Music awards are always pushing the limits of fashion, so anything goes,” she tells MTV in a promotional interview. “There is kind of a double license to wear what you want. Normal rules don’t apply. So, I’m going to try and see if I can pull off some ‘way out’ outfits.” And while Eva is looking forward to testing the fashion waters at the upcoming event in Madrid, she also fesses up to some outrageous ensembles from the not-so-distant past. “I wore a skimpy pink swimsuit at the MTV VMAs in Miami in 2005. That was pretty daring but I think I carried it off,” she says. And her ultimate fashion cringe-worthy moment? “I wore a leather outfit to the premiere of Tomb Raider. That was a real fashion faux pas!” Although Eva has had just a few red-carpet ‘what was she thinking?’ moments, one designer that she’s definitely going to don for the show never disappoints. “One thing is for sure, I will be wearing one of Victoria Beckham‘s dresses. If he smells my fragrance he should jump on that woman,” the Desperate Housewives star tells ET Canada of Eva by Eva Longoria, her debut signature fragrance for women, which launched in April. Neil Lane is a girl’s best friend. The jewelry designer’s diamonds have graced countless A-list celebrities and Thursday night was no exception. Stars such as Eva Longoria Parker and Kristin Davis literally lit up the red carpet at Neil Lane’s Debut Bridal Collection With Kay Jeweler’s Launch at Drai’s at The W Hollywood. Eva, “blinged out” in a gorgeous diamond necklace, bracelet and cocktail ring, told PEOPLE: “My favorite Neil Lane piece I have is these diamond hoop earrings that Tony bought me that I absolutely love.” Clad in a black Gustavo Cadile dress and “totally comfortable” platform Sergio Rossi heels, the Desperate Housewives star said of Lane, “He’s timeless. Everything he designs combines old Hollywood glamour with antique feel but at the same time with a modern take and that’s a really nice combination.” Another fan? When celebrity hair stylist Ken Paves isn’t creating lust-worthy locks for clients like Jessica Simpson, he’s busy playing another role: advocate. On Monday, Makeover Madness took over his trendy West Hollywood salon to raise money for the Rally For Kids, an annual car rally that raises awareness and resources for children suffering from cancer. Involved with the charity since its inception, Paves even got behind the wheel and raced himself last year. Paves and his glam team, including eyebrow guru Anastasia Soare and Pussycat Dolls founder Robin Antin, took this year’s fundraising into their own talented hands with, what else?, makeovers! Joined by long time friend and honorary chair of the Rally Eva Longoria Parker, who stopped by the salon to play with the children, Paves offered a variety of services from the Shine treatment ($250) to the VIP Glitz service ($1,000), with all proceeds going directly to the charity. And lest he be too engrossed in making just his charitable clients look gorgeous, Paves made sure to personally tend to some of the children who survived cancer with their own mini-makeovers. “I asked some of the kids what cancer meant to them and they said how scary they think it is,” Paves said. “All these proceeds go to research for kids with cancer. When it comes to personal style, Eva Longoria Parker leaves high-fashion experimentation to her more adventurous friends. “I’m classic–which means boring,” joked Longoria Parker to PEOPLE last night at the Soho House in West Hollywood, where she was celebrating the launch of the LG Fashion Touch, for which she and pal Victoria Beckham designed mobile phones. “[Victoria's] the crazy, bold, edgy one and takes fashion risks I don’t usually take. I like a classic dress, a classic line, classic colors. I mean, I’m pretty simple,” said the Reem Acra-clad Desperate Housewives star, who had a blast working on the LG commercial with her old friend Posh. “She is incredibly funny, so that makes it easy. All her kids and the dogs were there, and we always have a lot of fun.” Added Beckham, “We’ve known each other for a long time. What happens when you love perfume but are hopelessly allergic? If you’re Eva Longoria Parker, who had her heart set on developing a signature scent, you take matters into your own hands. “If someone were wearing perfume next to me, I would sneeze and sneeze and sneeze,” said the Desperate Housewives star at yesterday’s launch party for Eva by Eva Longoria Parker at her restaurant Beso in Hollywood. “I’ve been allergic my entire life.” Longoria Parker–who wore a shimmery beaded Rafael Cennamo dress–didn’t let that stop her. “I always admired people who wore perfume–I was like, ‘Gosh, I wish I could wear one. My agent said, ‘Why don’t you make one?’” The resulting scent–a warm, citrusy “day fragrance,” according to the star–is consequently the anti-perfume perfume. “I wanted something clean and fresh. Something that smelled like you just got out of the shower. And that’s how I came up with the scent,” said the actress, who toasted the launch with a glass of champagne, surrounded by co-stars Teri Hatcher, Felicity Huffman and Brenda Strong and famous friends like Heidi Klum. Unfortunately, her husband, NBA player Tony Parker, had to miss the soiree because of a game, but congratulated his wife via a sweet big-screen message during the toasts. Eva Longoria Parker literally couldn’t stand wearing other peoples’ fragrances, so the actress and L’Oréal spokesperson took matters into her own hands, coming up with her just-announced trademark scent, Eva by Eva Longoria: “I have always been somewhat allergic to all perfumes and really wanted to create something that every woman could wear,” she says. “So I decided to create my own fragrance that is light, fresh and unique. I think the scent of a woman is extremely sexy and this scent will prove that.” According to WWD, the Desperate Housewives star was heavily involved in the evolution of her new aroma, rejecting many potential combinations before settling on one that incorporates citrus, violet, freesia and sandalwood notes. “I never knew how complicated it was to create a unique scent that hasn’t already been done,” said Longoria Parker. “But I enjoyed the process.” The perfume, housed in a curvy bottle meant to mimic the contours of a woman’s body, will debut in more than 1,000 stores worldwide in April, retailing for $45-$58. The Hollywood star and NBA player snuggle up in London Fog outerwear and accessories for a series of photos shot by photographer Nino Munoz at Milk Studios in Los Angeles. “It was fun to work together,” Eva says of the campaign in a press statement. “London Fog is always classy and beautiful, and we knew we were in good hands for the campaign.” And the fashionista put her stamp of approval on the collection, enthusing “the coats and bags were gorgeous; I am a huge fan of trench coats and all the London Fog trenches were amazing.” Eva and Tony’s romantic shot will appear in December issues of all major fashion magazines. And founders Mark Badgley and James Mischka are celebrating the anniversary with an aptly star-studded ad campaign, shot by legendary photographer Annie Leibovitz. Images won’t appear in magazines until April, but we’re bringing you a sneak peek at the campaign, which gathers together Eva Longoria Parker, Carrie Underwood, Brooke Shields, Lauren Hutton and Anjelica Huston. So how do the women feel about taking part in the celebration? Looking at the Emmy Awards red carpet tonight, one might think that it was mid-summer with all the bright colors ruling the red carpet.
