Listen to Camilla Belle Sing Cotton’s Praises

You’ve heard Emmy Rossum — now it’s Camilla Belle’s turn! The actress shares her sweet singing voice in her new ad for Cotton, debuting Friday on network television and Sunday on cable.

In the spot — which follows the actress through Los Angeles to dance class, a piano session and the theater — Belle wears colorful cotton fashions from Thakoon, Prada, Marc Jacobs and Milly.

Belle’s moment in the spotlight is the second half of Cotton’s new “Tale of Two Cities” campaign, which tracks her happenings in L.A. and Rossum’s daily life in New York City. The initiative is designed to showcase the versatility of cotton fashions inspired by the two hot spots — and everywhere in between.

Hear Emmy Rossum Sing in New Cotton Campaign

Sure she has a Broadway background, but we haven’t heard Emmy Rossum sing pop like this in quite some time! The Shameless star works her pipes as the face of the new Cotton Incorporated “Fabric of Our Lives” campaign, singing the iconic jingle while running around New York City.

But that’s just the half of it: Camilla Belle is another face of the company, and stars in a similar spot that takes place in Los Angeles. Together, the girls’ ads make up a “Tale of Two Cities” theme that showcases the versatility of cotton fashions inspired by, you guessed it, New York and L.A.

Emmy Rossum’s No-Stylist Guide to Style

Speaking of stars whose closets we envy, there’s Emmy Rossum. The Shameless star — and InStyle Hair cover girl — has two walk-in closets off her master bedroom, both totally organized and lined with looks from Donna Karan and Ralph Lauren, plus vintage finds, Target designer pieces and sick accessories.

But the actress hasn’t accumulated all of these clothes through a stylist; at the moment, she’s working solo. “I surf the Web to see the runway shows and then figure out who the fashion publicists are and e-mail them myself,” she tells the magazine.

She also creates some pretty serious wish lists in the form of lookbooks made from magazine tear sheets; there’s one for runway looks she loves, another for hair and makeup.

The star is decidedly less glam on the set of her Showtime series, where she plays big sister with a bad streak, Fiona Gallagher. “It’s changed my thoughts on beauty because Fiona is not about perfection,” she says of her character’s smudged mascara and frizzy hair. “She just looks real, and I think people find that beautiful.” For more with Rossum, pick up the latest issue of InStyle Hair, on newsstands April 6.

Why Emmy Rossum Wore Her Donna Karan Dress Backward

Sitting front row at Donna Karan’s fall 2012 show on Monday, Emmy Rossum was the picture of a fashionable fan in a purple dress by the designer. But she added her own special twist to the ensemble.

“I decided to wear it backward,” she told PEOPLE. “I put it on and the draping was in front. I thought the draping was a little much for 2 p.m., so now it’s got draping in the back, and kind of a weird neck. It was my call.”

Luckily, Karan’s team was fine with the change. “They said, ‘Good, make it your own,’” she shared. And Rossum was happy to take such a fashion risk, too. “There’s a first time for everything,” she said.

After taking her seat, Rossum — joined by DKNY spokesmodel Ashley Greene, Adriana Lima, Rose McGowan (who almost missed the show thanks to a wayward driver) and Rachel Zoe (also running late) — took in the collection of structured red, gray and black coats, dresses and separates that were architecturally exquisite.

We’re counting down the days until Jason Wu’s Target collection goes on sale — mark your calendar for Feb. 5! — but starlets Blake Lively, Chloë Moretz, Emmy Rossum and Jaime King were among the lucky few who go to shop a preview sale Thursday night at the Skylight Soho in New York.

Featuring feminine dresses, colorful skirts and must-have bags, the line is sure to sell out in a second. To that end, Wu said he didn’t design the collection for a specific type of shopper, but that every girl will likely appreciate the line. “We all want to be a little glamorous, a little playful and a little mischievous at times,” he told PEOPLE. “And I think that the collection really brings that out.”

Emmy Rossum: Fashion’s More Fun Than a Haircut

She has a well-documented fear of shears, so not surprisingly, Emmy Rossum prefers trying on clothes to experimenting with hairstyles.

“It’s not like cutting your hair,” she tells SELF of playing with fashion trends. “You can always take the sweater off!”

Wearing spring’s “classic-with-a-twist” fashions, the Shameless star appears in a fun spread filled with bold dresses, colorful tops and playful accessories. “I had so much fun in these clothes — they’re feminine with an edge,” she tells the mag.

And as someone who enjoys mixing high-fashion pieces with less-pricey basics, Rossum appreciated the opportunity to pair various prints and patterns in her pictorial. “It’s liberating to mix it up, pairing stripes with florals or wearing two brights together,” she says. “It makes your style unique.” For more with Rossum, grab the February issue of SELF. Tell us: How do you make your style unique?

Stars Go Mad for Banana Republic’s Sleek ‘Mad Men’ Collection

Banana Republic Mad MenBroadimage; Pacific Coast News; Flynet

Mad Men may not be on the air at the moment, but that sexy ’60s style lives on thanks to Banana Republic’s new line of clothes, inspired by the Joan Harrises and Peggy Olsons of the past.

And while we’ve found ourselves going “mad” for the line, it appears Hollywood has, too! Gwen Stefani stepped out earlier this month in the black lace top ($45), which 90210 star Jessica Stroup dressed up for an event over the summer. Giuliana Rancic wore the same blouse in gold for a taping of E! News, too.

Emmy Rossum took her love of lace up a notch, sporting the black knit grace lace dress ($150) on a movie set in Los Angeles. Jaime King rocked the look, too, wearing it in white to a party at Hollywood’s Chateau Marmont.
