Emma Stone Gets Extensions, Breaks Up With Her 'Lob'

Jul/17/2014 at 01:27 PM ET

In the hot summer months, many stars get the urge to go shorter (yes, even Channing Tatum!) — but Emma Stone was never one to follow a trend. Instead of going for a chop, she made a major mane change in a different direction.

Met Gala 2014: Are We Sure the Theme Wasn't 'Crop Tops?'

Charles James was a highly meticulous designer known for his enormous, elaborate and over-the-top glamorous gowns that were made to be worn to the fanciest balls on either side of the Atlantic. So we can’t say we expected the interpretations of his style at this year’s Met Gala to include wide swaths of skin. But plenty of stars — from those as demure as Anna Kendrick to those as wild as Cara Delevingne (both not pictured) — chose to expose their midriffs while paying homage to the designer.

Emma Stone Addresses Weight Criticisms in (Typically Awesome) Fashion

May/05/2014 at 03:44 PM ET

Emma Stone always seems perfectly poised and put together, but the actress deals with her own internal battles when it comes to her appearance. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 star spoke to Seventeen.com about confidence, body image and, of course, girl power.

“My great hope for us as young women is to start being kinder to ourselves so that we can be kinder to each other,” the 25-year-old said. “To stop shaming ourselves and other people for things we don’t know the full story on — whether someone is too fat, too skinny, too short, too tall, too loud, too quiet, too anything. There’s a sense that we’re all ‘too’ something, and we’re all not enough.” Read More

Emma Stone's Amazing Spider-Man N.Y.C. Premiere Makeup and Hair: All the Scoop from Her Stylists

Apr/25/2014 at 04:16 PM ET

We’ve made no secret of how dazzled we’ve been by Emma Stone‘s Amazing Spider-Man 2 promotional tour. From the on-point hair to the flawless makeup, the star has been turning it out at every stop. And Thursday night’s N.Y.C. premiere, she did it again — this time, with bangs! We reached out to her pros, L’Oréal Paris consulting hair expert Mara Roszak and Chanel celebrity makeup artist Rachel Goodwin, for the full rundown on her casually elegant beauty look, created to accompany her pretty Prada gown. (Says Roszak, “It’s one of my favorite dresses I’ve ever seen, period.”)

First, we had to ask Roszak what inspired the bangs. “We’ve really done a lot of different looks [on this press tour] and this was something fun and different,” she tells PEOPLE. “Emma’s had bangs in the past [but] it’s been a long time. We both were like, ‘This is gonna be a fresh look, let’s do it!’ I knew they would be a really fun look for her so I just felt like why not have them for a premiere, like an accessory.”

Emma Stone Gets Bangs Before Her N.Y.C. Amazing Spider-Man Premiere: See Her Cute New Cut!

True story: The editor writing this post had a dream last night that Emma Stone got a pixie cut! And she’s feeling a little psychic, because while the actress didn’t chop off all her tresses (like her boyfriend and co-star Andrew Garfield) she did surprise us with a mane move mid Spider-Man tour by cutting some long, piecey bangs.

This isn’t the star’s first foray into fringe. She’s sported bangs before (including for her role of Spidey’s love Gwen Stacy), but she usually keeps them swept to one side. This time she’s cut them straight across her forehead — and it also appears that the star might have lightened up her hue with some blonde ombré highlights as seen during her visit to SiriusXM studios Thursday (right photo above).

Stone’s promo tour for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 has been jam-packed with head-turning fashion and beauty moments. And we love that the actress is still keeping us on our toes. (Who knows, maybe a pixie is in her future!)

The star recently told Vogue she’s never thought of herself has a style setter, saying, “It’s fun to get to borrow a dress for a night and dress up for something.” She also referenced a nickname she’s seen about herself on the Internet: “That bland basic b—h.” And while she takes it all in stride, there’s nothing bland or basic about the star’s style or her fun new hair look.

Andrew Garfield Shaved HeadWireImage (2)

Andrew Garfield pulled a fast one on us. Right in the middle of his promo tour for The Amazing Spider-Man 2 the actor shaved off his wavy, perfectly tousled Peter Parker tresses and his five o’clock shadow. Yup, he’s totally clean shaven.

Garfield debuted his new look — a classic buzz cut, you know, the kind you just want to run your hands over — during a volunteer event with girlfriend Emma Stone and his other co-stars for a habitat restoration project at Shoreline Park in Mountain View, Calif. This is another one of those times we wish Stone was our BFF, and we could just text her to ask all about her man’s new cut. Read More
