Did Carrie Underwood Chop Off Her Hair?

What would Carrie Underwood look like if she cropped her long blonde into a chin-length bob? Well, now we know.

The country singer recently wore her mane in a style that left us wondering: Did she or didn’t she lob her locks? She attended an industry event for her hit “Good Girl” in Nashville Tuesday rocking what is either a pinned-back hairstyle or a brand new (and rather drastic) haircut.

We’re leaning toward the former after some photo investigation. But the faux bob (if that’s what it is) has left us wondering if Underwood is perhaps test-driving a new look.

Back in 2009, she sported shoulder-length hair, which is the shortest we’ve ever seen her go, and maybe she’s itching to shake things up again. (After all, it is apparently the month of bold Hollywood hair decisions.)

We think Underwood looks gorgeous with long and short tresses, but we want to know what you say. Tell us: Which hair length suits Underwood best: super-long or chin-length? Vote below!

Fashion Faceoff: Carrie Underwood vs. Emily Maynard

Carrie wore it first — but who wears it best? Bachelorette Emily Maynard appeared at Monday night’s rose ceremony in Dubrovnik, Croatia, wearing a glimmering Gomez-Gracia column dress — the same gown Carrie Underwood wore to the Grammy Awards just four months ago.

“I absolutely adore Carrie Underwood, so the fact that she wore this dress to the Grammys made me love it that much more,” Maynard tells InStyle.com.

Maynard says she’d been saving the dress “for somewhere really special” because she liked it so much. And while Underwood accessorized it simply when she wore it — adding earrings by Johnathon Arndt, a sleek Rene Caovilla clutch and Jimmy Choo sandals — Maynard added a little something extra.

“Because it was so cold out, I wore black leggings underneath,” she admits. “Thankfully no one noticed!” Who wears it best? Vote below!

Carrie Underwood Reveals Her On-the-Road Style Secret

We’ve always found Carrie Underwood to be down to earth, but the signer’s recent revelation — she does her own hair and makeup on tour! — has us in awe. “When you’re on stage, it’s a little bit different than real life,” she tells Stylelist. “You can kind of pile it on — and you need to for things to show up. You can do things you wouldn’t really do. You can put glitter on your eyes.”

Stage hair is fun to style, too. “The bigger, the better,” Underwood adds. And surprisingly, getting spotlight-ready isn’t stressful for the star. “It’s a nice relaxing time,” she says. “A calm before the storm, if you will.”

Underwood, who’s had long blonde hair for years, says she’s also considering a change at some point. “I wanted to dye my hair darker,” she admits. “Maybe someday I’ll do something a little more drastic.” As long as it doesn’t involve scissors. “I don’t think I’m meant for short hair, though,” she shares. “I don’t feel as pretty when I chop it off, which I have done before.”

Carrie Underwood Wishes She’d Taken Her Mom’s Skincare Advice

Apr/13/2012 at 09:00 AM ET

These days, Carrie Underwood has her skincare routine down to a science — but it wasn’t quite that way growing up.

“If I could go back and talk to my 15-year-old self I’d be like, ‘Seriously, listen to your mom,’” she tells PEOPLE. “Drink more water, put more sunscreen on, moisturize. There are a lot of people like me who wish they did more.”

But as the face of Olay, Underwood has come to realize how important it is to take care of your skin — and that “it doesn’t have to be complicated,” she says. “I don’t have time for complicated. I don’t have space in my luggage for 20 things that do different things for my skin — I don’t know anyone who does.”

She’s always happy to make a little extra room in her suitcase for some fun makeup, though. “I love to play with makeup,” she admits. “I will go into a makeup store and walk out and not even know what happened, carrying this giant bag of stuff. But I can, because I’m on stage — I can wear things that I can’t otherwise. So I have a little bit of everything in my kit.”

Carrie Underwood: Having People Smell Like Me ‘Might Weird Me Out’

Christina Aguilera, Jennifer Lopez and (begrudgingly) Adam Levine may be into the idea of creating their own fragrances, but one star who’s not? Carrie Underwood.

“I really don’t know if I would do the whole fragrance thing,” she tells AOL’s The Boot. “I don’t want to smell like anybody else.”

More importantly, she doesn’t want anyone else smelling like her. “If people walked up to me smelling like me, it might weird me out,” she admits. “So that one’s not quite for me.”

However, the young starlet — the current face of Olay — isn’t totally opposed to putting her name on a product. When asked about creating clothing and shoes someday, the singer has a change of tune. “I would love to do that for other people,” she shares, “and create things that people would like to wear.” Perhaps we have another Jessica Simpson in our midst? Chris Martin is a lucky man! The Coldplay rocker’s leading ladies — collaborator Rihanna and wife Gwyneth Paltrow — paused for a hot shot for Paltrow’s WhoSay page Sunday night while backstage at the Grammy Awards, showing off their slim figures and similar, slinky gowns. Rihanna worked the room in custom Giorgio Armani (she’s currently a face of the designer’s denim and underwear lines), while Paltrow wowed in a long black number with a solid gold belt.
