You’ll pry our basic black Wayfarers from our cold, dead hands, but that doesn’t mean we can’t admire some of the coolest shades celebs are wearing these days.

We rounded up five of our favorite styles that we’ve been seeing on stars on the street — whether you want to shop the actual pricey pairs or use this as inspiration is up to you.

Clockwise from top left: We love Sienna Miller‘s spunky $385 Karen Walker “Anywhere” shades, with their oversized tortoiseshell frames; Carey Mulligan’s slightly rounded square pair project classic elegance; Heidi Klum raises eyebrows with an ombré butterfly style; Julianne Hough gets a little punk-y with Vivienne Westwood Anglomania cat-eye frames; and Kate Moss takes the cat-eye to the next level with über-exaggerated, speckled Stella McCartney cat eyes.

After staring at these pics for a while, we actually might be tempted to cheat on our classic sunnies for something a little sassier. What do you think?

Grammys' Hottest Dates: The Dresses You Didn't See

There were plenty of noteworthy dresses on the Grammy Awards red carpet Sunday night, however, three of our favorite looks belonged to supportive significant others who let their loves take the spotlight outside — but joined them indoors for the party.

Fun.’s biggest (and possibly most famous) fan, Lena Dunham, showed support for her boyfriend, the band’s guitarist Jack Antonoff, in a radiant yellow dress (worn with Forevermark diamonds) that could be seen even in long shots of the auditorium. She not only got to return the favor Antonoff paid by cheering her on at the Golden Globes, but she also got face time with her Twitter pal Taylor Swift.

Tabatha's Takeover: Carey Mulligan Didn't Dress to Impress

We all know Tabatha Coffey, Bravo’s sharp-tongued Aussie style pro, from her stint on Shear Genius and her latest hit, Tabatha Takes Over. And now, she’s bringing her talents online, joining us at PEOPLE StyleWatch once weekly to dish on some of the best – and worst – celebrity looks of the week. Keep in mind the opinions below belong solely to the stylist … though she’s probably saying what lots of you are thinking, anyway!

Today, she takes on Carey Mulligan, who selected a sparkling cocktail dress for a recent charity event:

So this is my last critique for 2012 and I must say I think Santa has me on the naughty list. Seeing this dress on Carey Mulligan is like getting coal in my stocking! I’m not impressed and actually quite disappointed. She usually looks exceptionally stylish and fashion-forward and I feel like this is something she pulled out of her great aunt’s closet.

Don’t get me wrong — it’s not 100-percent horrible. This can be fixed. Now, picture the dress with no sleeves, a couple of inches shorter and fitted to Carey’s petite frame. Close your eyes and imagine it. I’m right, huh?! See, it’s a little beyond her years the way it is, but can be youthfully updated in no time.
