Miranda Kerr Takes Best Dressed (and Deserves It!) for the Zillionth Week

Apr/12/2014 at 09:00 AM ET

This week, the Most Loved Looks list featured the Great Hemline Debate of 2014: Minis vs. Floor-Length. Half of the ensembles featured gowns that swept the red carpet with flowing fabrics (we’re including Jennifer Garner’s sweeping custom MaxMara jumpsuit), while the others showed off their toned legs in super-short dresses. And after tallying up all the reader votes, it looks like the floor-length hems have it with Miranda Kerr coming out on top!

Cameron Diaz (and Her Crazy-Toned Legs) Nabs This Week's Best Dressed Title

Apr/05/2014 at 09:00 AM ET

Just weeks before Cameron Diaz stepped out in this Victoria Beckham original, the designer posted an image of the dress on Instagram with the caption, “I’m so excited!! My favorite look from my spring/summer show is now available on my site!! x vb.” And we bet she’d also be pretty excited to know that Cameron has just been crowned PEOPLE’s Best Dressed of the Week. The star received over 25,000 “Love It” votes in the flirty design and landed at the top of our Most Loved Looks list.

Cameron’s toned legs seem to go on forever in the gray mini she sported on the red carpet at CinemaCon in Las Vegas. We love that the dress breaks with an asymmetrical hemline to reveal a second, pleated white skirt underneath. The actress finished her look with a pair of Saint Laurent pumps — putting the cherry on top (or this case bottom) of a perfect fashion sundae.

The actress also captured our No. 7 spot this week in a black Dior dress, worn to the Amsterdam premiere of The Other Woman. Once again her stems were on display, giving us motivation for a major lunge day at the gym.

Naomi Watts stole second place in a royal-blue Elie Saab jumpsuit featuring some lace triangle cutouts at the décolletage for the BVLGARI LVCEA unveiling in Switzerland. Also deserving a shout out in the skin-revealing department are Kate Beckinsale, who selected a Jenny Packham cutout gown and Margot Robbie who stunned in an off-the-shoulder scarlet Paper London jumpsuit (that’s right, two jumpsuits in the Top 10 this week!), both at the Jameson Empire Film Awards in London.

Do you think that Cameron stole the spotlight with her magnificent minis, or should the trophy have gone to a contender with a little more length to her dress?

Oscars Gown Showdown: Cameron Diaz vs. Sandra Bullock -- Pick Your Favorite!

Feb/17/2014 at 09:45 AM ET

Oscar Gown Showdown: Cameron Diaz, Sandra BullockAlberto E. Rodriguez/Getty; Steve Granitz/WireImage

The Showdown: Cameron Diaz in Oscar de la Renta (2010) vs. Sandra Bullock in Marchesa (2010)
The Editor’s Pick: Cameron Diaz
Who Made the Call?: Zoë Ruderman, Senior Style Editor
Why She Chose It:

How are these things supposed to start? This was such a hard decision! They both look perfect! But aw shucks, I’ve just got to pick one! Well, sorry, Sandy, but this was an easy choice for me. Cameron wins by a long shot. And if the majority of you don’t vote in agreement with me, I’m going to be very, very surprised.

Check out the full Oscars Gown Showdown bracket here!

The phrases “breath-taking” and “jaw-dropping” are severely overused in my opinion, but both apply to Cameron’s dazzling strapless Oscar de la Renta gown. The champagne hue, the scattered paillettes and the vintage-inspired vibe made the dress such a showstopper. It was Rachel Zoe, the actress’s stylist at the time, who spotted this number on the Fall 2010 runway, and I think the confection on Cameron is the most amazing thing Rachel has ever conceived (no offense to Skyler and Kai Berman).

Sure, Sandra’s Marchesa gown was a similar color and also had the Old Hollywood thing going on, but the silhouette of her dress doesn’t even come close. When Cameron walked down the red carpet, it was almost like she was floating thanks to that full skirt.

Come on, people, isn’t the choice easy? Okay, fine, if you disagree with me, I can respect that (but please defend your choice in the comments since I’m curious to know what you’re thinking!). And if you’re a swing voter, let the hair be your tie-breaker (how amazing do Cameron’s side-swept waves look?).

Voting is now closed but click here to see who came out on top — and to weigh in on today’s matchup: Penélope Cruz vs. Charlize Theron!

Cameron Diaz: I Have No Regrets About Getting (Very) Personal In My Body Book!

When famously fit Cameron Diaz writes a book about the body, it’s no surprise that other women pay attention. But the actress says she couldn’t have anticipated the reaction to The Body Book being this overwhelmingly positive, from younger girls and older women alike.

“It has been really great. I hear from people on Twitter and Instagram … I appreciate the love and feedback and I like to retweet them,” she told PEOPLE at the TAG Heuer Fifth Avenue Flagship Store Opening in N.Y.C. on Tuesday night, where she was announced as the brand’s celebrity ambassador.

RELATED PHOTOS: See (and vote on) what other stars wore last night!

Diaz, who stunned in a Giambattista Valli coat, says writing The Body Book was more about exploring how the body works on a cellular level and less about teaching people how to diet and exercise.

Staying Healthy During the Holidays Can Be Tough. Luckily We've Got Some Awesome (and Easy) Tips

Dec/20/2013 at 09:00 AM ET

There’s a reason why new gym memberships skyrocket in January: Because people tend to let their healthy routines fall by the wayside in December. Despite your best intentions, it can be tricky to maneuver a seemingly endless stream of cookies, candy and rich food, not to mention squeeze in a workout when you’re traveling for four days straight or camping out on an air mattress in Grandma’s basement with six of your cousins.

Because we too succumb to those pitfalls during our holiday break, we turned to the experts for some advice to take on the road with us. Heather Bauer is a registered dietitian and founder of Bestowed.com and Nicole Winhoffer is a celebrity trainer who counts Rachel Weisz and Madonna among her clients. Both offered smart, easy-to-follow advice for even the weakest among us in the face of peppermint bark.

As if last week’s makeup-free selfie wasn’t enough to make you love her, this disarmingly candid and sweet video of Cameron Diaz playing photographer and cheerleader for a diverse group of women, just released to support her new project, The Body Book, will do the trick.

Diaz’s book, subtitled “The Law of Hunger, the Science of Strength, The Power of Knowledge and Other Ways to Love Your Amazing Body,” is all about what she’s learned about nutrition, exercise, diet and general well-being — as she says in the video, “it’s not a … plan, it’s just information for you to have.” And she supplemented the text with photos she took herself of 40 very different women, which you can see in the video below.
