During a phone call with reporters recently, Brad Goreski said he had a designer collaboration coming up “in the near future.” Well, the cat’s out of the bag: today, the celebrity stylist was named Kate Spade New York’s exclusive brand stylist.

According to WWD, the reality star will “elevate brand awareness surrounding the company’s ready-to-wear category” and work with creative director Deborah Lloyd to style press events, fashion presentations, ad campaigns and e-commerce shoots.

“The brand is known for its accessories, and their ready-to-wear is fairly new and [it's] Deb’s baby,” Goreski tells WWD. “We see so many people carrying the bags and the accessories. It’s my hope to get the ready-to-wear out there and see it more on the streets and see people playing with it and making it their own.”

Exclusive Video: Brad Goreski Hints at Why He and Rachel Zoe No Longer Speak

Dec/14/2011 at 09:00 AM ET

Brad Goreski‘s new series It’s a Brad, Brad World already promises lots of fashion, fun and of course, drama. But in an exclusive clip from the show, which premieres Jan. 2 on Bravo, Goreski addresses his biggest professional debacle — his split from stylist Rachel Zoe — head-on.

“We don’t speak to each other. I would love to be able to speak with her,” he states, adding that people often ask if he’s met her son, 9-month-old Skyler. His answer? “I have not seen the baby because I have not been invited.”

Brad Goreski: I’ve Always Been Preppy

“I consider myself extremely preppy,” stylist Brad Goreski tells PEOPLE. “I always have been. I’ve been looking at a lot of my baby pics, and I’m always in a three-piece suit and bowtie.”

Thanks to that association with all things preppy — which he defines as “plaid, seersucker, stripes, polka dots and oxford” — Goreski was recently tapped to promote Tommy Hilfiger’s new Eau de Prep, scents for men and women in Macy’s stores now.

Goreski says he counts fragrances as accessories; they “put the finishing touch” on an outfit. “It’s the last thing you put on before you go out the door,” he explains. “People see you, but you also want people to smell you. It’s two reactions: you get the visual and then you get the sensory.”

Thankfully, those who’ve been missing their weekly visual dose of Goreski on The Rachel Zoe Project won’t have to wait too much longer to see him in his new series. “You can look forward to a lot of fun, a lot of laughs, a lot of fashion and a different look into the world of fashion through my eyes,” he explains. But fans get another dimension, too, with a glimpse at “my home life, and how I live,” he says — including the relationships with his boyfriend and family.

Emma Stone is doing her Hollywood “It” girl reputation justice.

The actress not only received top billing in The Help and Crazy, Stupid, Love, but was also just named a new face of Revlon, alongside Olivia Wilde. On top of that, celebrity stylist Brad Goreski calls her the most stylish starlet in young Hollywood.

“I think Emma Stone wears really high fashion looks with ease,” Rachel Zoe’s former protégé told PEOPLE recently at the InStyle Summer Soiree at the London Hotel in West Hollywood. “I think her hair and makeup is always flawless. I just think she’s really cool.”

Although the style expert (who dresses the likes of Jessica Alba) says he’s never worked with the redheaded cutie, he has no hard feelings.

Many women rethink their fashion choices while pregnant, but not Jessica Alba. Since announcing her second pregnancy in February, Alba’s belly has “popped,” but she remains a fashionista thanks to the assistance of her stylist, Brad Goreski. “We’re still trying to keep it very fashion,” Goreski told PEOPLE at the Rimowa Rodeo Drive Store opening in Beverly Hills Monday. “There aren’t really that many restrictions because she’s such a beautiful woman.” The former Rachel Zoe protégé said he and Alba, already mom to Honor, 2, have recently found success in keeping her look “fresh and young” thanks to designers like Lanvin, Versace and Ralph Lauren. “[We] show people that even though you’re pregnant you can still look really cute,” he shared. One brand that Alba has recently turned to for maternity wear, though, is Pea in a Pod. “We switch to Pea in a Pod at, like, month two or three,” Goreski told reporters. “You need the [belly bands].” So what’s it like dressing someone Goreski describes as the “coolest mom?” “She’s just so much fun to be around,” he shared. “We had a fitting today and just laughed all through it. I look forward to seeing her every time.” –Patrick Gomez

Rachel Zoe Protégé Brad Goreski Gets His Own Bravo Show!

When Brad Goreski and Rachel Zoe parted ways last year, we worried we’d never see the adorable, bespectacled male stylist in the spotlight again. But Wednesday, Bravo announced plans for a new show centered on Goreski’s life in the fashion world, appropriately titled It’s a Brad Brad World. Chatting with PEOPLE Wednesday night at the Bravo upfronts in Los Angeles, Goreski said that flying solo as a stylist was scary at first. “It’s always kind of a nerve-wracking experience when you make such a big change,” he confessed. “I was actually happy where I was, but it was time for me to claim … my space and just kind of listen to my own voice and go, ‘You know what? I think I actually want to try this for myself.’” And while he was ready for a change, the 34-year-old knows he wouldn’t be where he is today without his mentor, new mom Zoe. “She was very maternal with me from the beginning,” he shared. “She taught me to always be kind.” And, of course, Zoe passed off lots (and lots!) of her fashion wisdom. “I learned how to get clothes really, really fast,” he said. “You don’t always have a week to prep something … sometimes you have 24 hours. [And] she just taught me so much about the styling world, and how to be a better stylist, and I’m forever grateful to her for that.” Look for Goreski’s show on Bravo in the near future. –Reporting by Melody Chiu
