Giant Statement Necklaces: Is Big, Bigger or Biggest Best?

If you thought you’d seen the last of statement necklaces for a while, you’re not alone. We’ve been stocking our jewelry boxes with delicate pendants and chains in anticipation of spring’s jewelry trends. But these three stars, spotted within three days of each other, have had us wondering if the statement necklace trend is bigger than ever — literally!

Olivia Munn (far left) ringed her mint-green Naven dress with an oversized, spiny gold collar that had a Grecian feel. Nina Dobrev’s $198 Stella & Dot “Tempest” necklace looped layers of ribbons, chains and stones to contrast with the lace neckline of her French Connection dress. And Ashlee Simpson went even more over-the-top by picking a similarly complex Lizzie Fortunato bib necklace that was trimmed with feathers.

There’s no denying all three ladies look lovely, but we’re waiting for your judgment call before investing again: Are you ready for the return of giant statement necklaces? Which is your favorite?

There’s Christmas, there’s New Year’s Eve, and then there’s “every celebrity in the world takes a tropical vacation” week. It really seems that almost every star worth talking about (Jessica! Lea! Julianne!) went on an exotic getaway this week, and we’re jealous — and cold.

But we’re also keeping mental notes on the swimsuits we want to steal for summertime — and these pretty ladies had four of our favorites.

Short story: Ashlee Simpson is letting her hair get long.

The starlet, who, until now, proudly sported a light blonde pixie cut, is modifying her look for fall.

Speaking to PEOPLE over the weekend during the Fiji Water Summer Soak at the MGM Grand Hotel’s Wet Republic pool in Las Vegas, Simpson — dressed in a polka dot 6 Shore Road jumper and strappy sandals — explained her evolving hairstyle.

“I’ve had short hair for two years … I just decided I’m going to grow it out because I can always cut it if I don’t like it,” she shared. But that doesn’t seem to be the case just yet.

“It’s nice,” she added. “I can actually braid it and take it to another level.” And we can’t wait to see it! Tell us: Do you prefer Simpson with a pixie, or do you want to see her with long hair again?

Celebs See Stars in Hollywood’s Hottest Sweater

Two stars in the same sweater is a coincidence. Three’s a trend. But what would you call 12 of Hollywood’s hottest wearing the same $198 Wildfox “Seeing Stars” sweater — a phenomenon?

Miley Cyrus, Emma Watson, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Ashlee Simpson are just one-third of the celebs spotted in the brand’s slouchy, distressed sweater emblazoned with stars. The red version was a hit on the Fourth of July, spotted on Cyrus, Alessandra Ambrosio and Jessica Simpson; it’s also beloved by Ashley Tisdale (wearing hers here), Ellie Goulding and Mindy Kaling. Emma Roberts has sported the same black version as Simpson, while Halle Berry owns the olive version seen on Gellar. Finally, Christina Aguilera has been out wearing the white-and-purple version of the same starry style.

We love how each star puts her own spin on the distinctive top — from Cyrus’s pants-free look to Gellar’s maternity style — but we want to know: Who wears her Wildfox sweater best?

Vintage-Inspired Floral Headbands: Love ‘Em or Leave ‘Em?

Fashion flashback alert! The hippie-chic look is back in full force these days, thanks in part to the resurgence of floral headpieces.

We first saw the accessory at the Coachella Music Festival, where Vanessa Hudgens and Paris Hilton both sported Cult Gaia rose crowns ($75). Although we weren’t shocked to spot the topper at the festival since Woodstock-worthy ensembles are encouraged, we were surprised to see these babies on the red carpet.

Jessica and Ashlee Simpson’s Tween Clothing Line Was Their Mom’s Idea

Even though they’re grownups, Jessica and Ashlee Simpson still listen to their mom, Tina. Case in point: it was her idea to have them create a clothing line for young girls together.

“My mother thought it would be great to combine both of our styles, both of our personalities,” Jessica told Fashionista.com Thursday during a party for the line in New York. Though it’s the sisters’ first time working together, “it feels like we always work together,” Jessica said.

The line combines what Jessica calls “Ashlee’s rock ‘n’ roll, cool, boho-chic” aesthetic with her own “all-American girl” look. “I’m pretty classic, I’m pretty easy going,” she said. “Combining the two is always fun.”

And thankfully, working together caused zero tension for the superstars. “We loved being in the approval meetings together, we loved inspiration shopping together,” she shared. “It’s been fun. I feel like all these little girls are wearing stuff that Ashlee and I would both wear.”

One Trend Three Ways: Leopard Print

Rarr! Some of our favorite stylistas have us seeing spots these days … but we’re totally okay with that. Reese Witherspoon, Kourtney Kardashian and Ashlee Simpson are just getting a jump on one of fall’s hottest trends: leopard print.

Witherspoon wore her printed dress to a recent benefit in Los Angeles, pairing the pretty frock with a classic black blazer and peep-toe booties — a subtle approach. Kardashian opted for a louder take, wearing wild tights with booties and a jumpsuit in New York. And Simpson, out in L.A., made her look optional: she could slip her faux fur Topshop coat off or keep it over her delicate white dress for added drama. Me-wow indeed!
