She loves a good fashion risk, so it’s no surprise Zoe Kravitz isn’t afraid to go big in the hair department. The actress transformed her mane from dark brunette to bright blonde, giving us major ’90s flashbacks.

For pro celebrity hair change spotters, you might have noticed that Kravitz’s color was lighter at Coachella this weekend. The daughter of rocker Lenny Kravitz and actress Lisa Bonet (talk about great genes) took the stage to perform at the festival, but was wearing a hat for most of her time in the desert, so we weren’t sure exactly what was going on. Luckily, the star gave us a good look at her new do on the red carpet at a Jimmy Choo event in L.A. Tuesday.

Whitney Port Shows You How to Pull Off a 'Cali Casual' Look (Plus, Get the Hair to Match)

Apr/16/2014 at 09:00 AM ET

Maybe it’s all that Coachella style, but we have California style on the brain right now. So it’s perfect that Whitney Port is giving some fashion inspiration for a “Cali Casual” outfit.

In her latest Drab To Fab video with Joico, Port shares her dressing tips with viewers for a laid-back look that is perfect for this time of year.

“It’s dressed up in a really dressed down kind of way,” Port says of the perforated chambray collared top and matching snakeskin lounge pant (both from her Whitney Eve line), which she teams with an on-trend cuff. As for the glossy undone curls, you’ll have to watch the clip above to find out hairstylist Damien Carney’s secrets. (Hint: It involves a great dry shampoo you might want to add to your beauty arsenal.)

Port is no strange to the loose beachy wave, and she’s totally an air-dry type of girl. “I kind of wash it and let it air dry and let it down, with a slight side part,” Port told PEOPLE of her go-to hairstyle. “For more of a red carpet look it always varies on what I’m wearing, but recently I’ve been liking a sleek long straight pony and the wet look. Very simple.”

Kelly Osbourne: My Lavender Hair Color Has Become Me (Plus: Why She Shaved Her Head!)

Apr/15/2014 at 03:34 PM ET

It’s hard for us to remember a time when Kelly Osbourne was not sporting her lavender locks (she’s had the color for four years now), and she feels the same way, saying she’s never felt more herself than with her brightly-hued do. She recently sat down with PEOPLE to discuss her most recent mane change and what it was like when she first debuted her purple hair.

“Basically my color has become me. The first time I dyed it and looked in the mirror, I saw myself and I felt like me,” she told PEOPLE while stopping by to promote Wheat Thins Popped. “I’ll never be a natural girl. I’ll never be normal or simple. The most insulting thing someone said to me was to call me ‘beige.’”

We may tease stars’ Coachella style (out of love, we swear) but we admit — they somehow pull off so-sexy tousled braids, buns and waves better than the rest of us. But short of going out to the desert with our own stylist (or going several days cultivating that ideal mix of dust, sweat and poolwater for the perfect braid), we didn’t know how to go about getting that look ourselves. Enter Charles Baker Strahan, celebrity stylist for Herbal Essences, who was able to give us advice on pulling the look off at home — no tents, jorts or EDM music required.

Apparently something’s in the water at Coachella (and perhaps whatever it is could explain the … shall we say, unique … outfits we see on celebrities in attendance). There must be something about dancing in the desert wearing feathers and boots without socks that makes you want to lighten up your hair a shade or two (or ten, in the case of Vanessa Hudgens and Kylie Jenner).

These towelettes don’t require a PhD in self-tanning in order to avoid streaks, splotches, stains on your clothes and orange spots. All you have to do is swipe a towel over your body, let it try for a couple minutes then get dressed and wait for your glow to appear.

Within a few hours, you’ll look like you just came back from vacation … not like you spent the last few months in jeans and sweaters, hibernating during a Polar Vortex.

Now all that’s left to do is break out those spring dresses and show off your tan!

And P.S. If you’re not looking to give yourself a tan, but you want your skin to just look more perfect, smoother and free of imperfections like cellulite, this other magical product, Prtty Peashun lotion, is for you.
