What is it: Sally Hansen “I Heart Nail” art kits

Who tried it: Brittany Talarico, Associate Style Editor

Why I did it: Because I’m tired of spending over $50 bucks for a tricked out mani (aka I’m getting married in October, and it’s time to save some money)

Level of Difficulty: 3. Thanks to the handy “dotting tool,” which you use to apply the fun appliques, it’s pretty simple (Trust me, I was skeptical at first too!)

She may have been snubbed for an Oscar nom for her role in The Wolf of Wall Street, but Margot Robbie has definitely captivated the fashion world (and PeopleStyleWatch.com editors) with her spot-on style moments, which is why we’re so excited to reveal some exclusive photos of the star in a beautiful new shoot for Violet Grey‘s “The Violet Files”. By now, you’ve probably gotten your hands on Gwen Stefani‘s custom shades for OPI. And like the star herself, you’re excited to use the rocker-inspired hues — and accompanying nail art kits — in new and exciting ways. Because the mom-to-be is just that cool, she’s making it easy for you to experiment before you put on even one coat of polish, thanks to her new nail art app.

RELATED: The must-have for any manicure!

The app is part of a bigger multimedia experience centered around Stefani’s nailpolish collection (check out the whole thing at OPI.com/Gwen), where you can peruse inspiration photos, watch videos and get tutorials on how to create some of the trickier nail art using her collection. And if you’re feeling creative, you can use the app to digitally create nail art before trying it out on your own talons.

So what inspired Gwen to create this major mani experience? “I’m a huge girlie-girl when it comes to nails … When I’m doing performances or photo shoots and have the time, I really like to get into all of that,” the star told InStyle. “When my nails are done, I feel more complete, more ready.” Check out her app and submit your best work until Feb. 7 to be entered to win prizes!

What do you think of Stefani’s nail art? Will you try the app? Tell us below!
