By now you’ve already seen all the gorgeous gowns from Sunday’s ACM Awards, so it’s time to talk about the most buzzworthy beauty moments. Let’s start with Carrie Underwood‘s amazing side-swept waves, because, well, they’re amazing.

We were so enamored of Underwood’s old Hollywood-inspired tresses, we had to get some more insight straight from her makeup artist and hair stylist of nine years, Melissa Schleicher. You may not have noticed, but the first step to her look was a subtle color change.

“Her hair is a bit darker now,” Schleicher explains. “She’s naturally blonde in the roots, and we hadn’t highlighted her hair in seven months — we just let it go. And then I took her to the salon, darkened her hair a shade and lightened the ends quite a bit for an ombré look.” Read More

Please Stop What You're Doing and Help Us Decide How We Feel About Three Star Beauty Moments

There are some beauty looks that have us feeling nothing but happy feelings (like these pretty lipsticks) and then there are some beauty looks that leave us bewildered. Regardless, we like to talk them all out with you.

After a month experimenting with pastel hues (first purple, then blue), Ireland Baldwin has returned to her platinum blonde shade, a look which with we hope she sticks. However, Coachella is coming up and she might decide to get dye-happy again. She totally reminds us of that one friend from high school who couldn’t help but color her hair with markers when she gets bored.

Moving from manes to manis, Shailene Woodley has been sporting chipping polish (a cardinal red carpet sin!) to her Divergent premieres. In Berlin, she teamed her dramatic Zuhair Murad stunner with two fingers of mint green polish — the same look as she sported for the film’s London premiere. So either someone in her glam squad forgot to pack nail polish remover, or she’s trying to start a new trend. (At least she’s on-trend with her pale polish.)

And rounding out the group, Rita Ora had a Nicole Richie Met Gala hair moment, sporting a voluminous pompadour spray-painted with white stripes. The do added more drama to her fringed, fur-collared leather (yes, that’s a lot of detail) Roberto Cavalli dress at the Glamour of Italian Fashion exhibit in London.

Now that warmer weather is finally on its way, wintry nail polish hues (think black, navy and wine) are making their red carpet exits — and making room for new hues. Our favorite of the latest crop: this pale blue hue, which seems to have popped up overnight. And Hollywood’s leading ladies are (sorry, we have to) nailing it! Check out three looks we’re loving and let us know which shade you’re into.

Your Nails Need This Product

Mar/17/2014 at 06:00 AM ET

It’s a vicious cycle: You get gel manicures or paint your tips because it looks good. But constantly having polish on them can cause white patches, peeling, brittleness, destroyed cuticles and breakage … so you’re forced to cover them up with another mani, only causing more damage. That’s where this kit comes in. It repairs your nails in as few as three days and you can even use it as a base coat with other polishes to stop the cycle.

Don’t forget to use the code STYLE15 at checkout for an extra 15% off the Julep 911 kit.

And if you’re starting to think about getting your toes in sandals-ready shape, we’d also suggest adding this totally wacky, but seriously amazing foot peel to your cart as well.

Now all that’s left to do is decide which color to paint on your soon-to-be-ultra-healthy, non-peeling, strong nails.
