Want to Earn Cash for Old Clothes? Stylist Brad Goreski Spills How

Unfortunately, we can’t call Brad Goreski our personal stylist like Jessica Alba and Christina Ricci can, but luckily he shared some of his stylish expertise with us. The fashionable man-about-town recently chatted with PEOPLE about his latest business venture.

The Bravo star has teamed up with eBay‘s “Chic Squad” to offer fashion advice on selling your stylish stuff via the online marketplace.

“People have this idea that it’s complicated [to sell items on eBay],” Goreski told PEOPLE. “It’s so easy though — it’s just four steps.”

First, describe your item with as much detail as possible; then take photos — including several detailed shots — in a well-lit area; third, research to see how other similar items are priced; and last, list it. Goreski said that top sellers include designer denim and shoes. “A pair of J Brand jeans sell something like every four to six seconds,” he revealed.

Before all of that, however, you have to clean your closet. “It’s important to allow new stuff to come in,” the Kate Spade brand stylist said. “I’m guilty of [holding onto unworn garments] — I’m like, ‘I wore this to blank and I want to hold onto it’ — and I think it’s about being honest with yourself and taking stock. I find it therapeutic.”

Her fans are used to seeing her decked out in designer gowns on the red carpet, but when it comes to nights out, Giuliana Rancic opts for decidedly less glamorous duds.

“I joke all the time that my look is masculine-chic,” Rancic tells PEOPLE.

“When I go out at night I wear a different version of the same thing: skinny jeans, a black leather jacket, pointy-toe stilettos and a lace tank with a neon bra peeking through.”

The E! News anchor says that her look on the show is sometimes “girly,” but she likes to mix it up come evening.

“It’s a little feminine, but it’s kind of dark and masculine,” she explains. “Basically I look like I can kick your a– , or at least I feel that way!”

When Giada De Laurentiis showed up for her Clairol Natural Instincts shoot, she wasn’t exactly ready to add color to her hair. “She was nervous about it,” Clairol color director Marie Robinson tells PEOPLE.

But after a little of the brand’s “Toasted Almond” was added to her strands, she was thrilled. “She just needed some refreshing, some sparkle and shine,” Robinson says. “For spring, and for TV, you want to have a little flair.”

Though De Laurentiis had the help of a pro, Robinson says it’s easy for women to try color at home. “There are a few rules,” she shares. “Stick within two shade ranges of your natural color.” She recommends looking at the side panels or back of the box, too, to find out where your starting range is and what the boxed color will do to enhance it.

If you’ve never done your hair at home, first “do a little test strand to make sure you don’t have an allergy,” Robinson cautions. “If you like what you see, and don’t have a reaction, just apply root to end and leave on for the recommended time.”

Celebrity Makeup Artist Carmindy on Summer Eyes: It’s All About the Lash Line

May/25/2012 at 04:30 PM ET

To makeup artist Carmindy, a beautiful face is all about the lash line. “It defines your eyes, gives you a youthful appearance, makes everything else stand out,” she tells PEOPLE. “We talk about skin, blush, lipstick, shadow, but a thicker, beautiful lash line is all you need to walk out of the house and look like a million bucks.”

But it’s not always so easy: Carmindy saw her lashes thinning with age, and noticed similar changes in clients. “You expect things to change on your face — small wrinkles and lines, sun spots,” she says. “I have kind of thin hair, but was surprised my lashes were looking thinner, too.”

After a visit with her dermatologist, she started using Latisse — and eventually became a spokeswoman for the brand. “Since I started using it, my lashes have been getting thicker, longer, darker,” she says. “I’ve told all of my clients and fans. I completely believe in it.”

To pump up any lash line this summer — with our without Latisse — Carmindy has some easy beauty tricks you can try at home today:

May/23/2012 at 12:00 PM ET

If you’re looking to get past the velvet rope at a hot nightclub this weekend, Giuliana Rancic definitely knows how.

“It’s all about confidence,” the E! News host tells PEOPLE. “It’s not always the skinniest, tallest, or prettiest but it’s the most confident that gets let in.”

Rancic teamed up with Clear Scalp & Hair Beauty Therapy (Heidi Klum is the brand’s new face) to star in a “Best Night Ever” TV vignette (above), which reveals what it takes to get into exclusive hotspots. “I play a bouncer, and it shows me letting people in — and I tend to focus on the person’s hair,” she explains.

There weren’t any major fashion misses on Sunday’s red carpet, and according to the experts, there weren’t any beauty blunders, either. Ben Bennett, a beauty trend forecaster and creative director of Hatch Beauty, tells PEOPLE he could hardly find a flaw.

“I don’t think anybody got it wrong,” he says. “There were some who were less exciting than others, but overall there was a casual sensibility about the evening.”

Rooney Mara was one of Bennett’s favorites, thanks to her “exquisite complexion, archless brows” and “modern” look. “She just looked … very different, even though she was wearing a red lip,” he explains. “I thought the pairing of that with the sharp black bangs and white dress felt very fresh.”

Another favorite was Michelle Williams, who’s “really owning” her pixie hairstyle, Bennett says. “She’s making it very hard for any other actress to do that little cut and not think Michelle Williams — it’s really a signature of hers,” he explains. “And I loved the pairing of her dress and the bright pink lip.”
