Justin Timberlake Prefers to Be Bald

It's 'Play' Time for Justin Timberlake and His Givenchy FragrancesPascal Le Segretain/Getty

Justin Timberlake hasn’t always been the stylish man he is today — and he’s the first to admit it. “There were many moments in my teenage years where I succumbed to, um, the weirdness of the group I was in,” the singer tells Details in reference to his *NSYNC days. “And in trying to conform — we’re marionettes! — I ended up looking like a moron.”

Although the Friends With Benefits star favored a curly blond mop during that TRL era, currently, his favorite hairstyle is the total opposite: “A shaved head,” he says. “It’s scary the first time you do it, because you don’t know what’s under there — you could have some weird knot — but a shaved head is just so easy.”

Not so easy? Timberlake’s tooth care routine. “I broke out my Sonicare two years ago, and my dentist is way more complimentary now,” he says. “And some Crest Glide floss, with the Scope mint. You gotta clean your gums, man. Talking about it makes me want to floss right now.”

Cameron Diaz Cried After Chopping Her Hair

Cameron Diaz Hair
Splash News Online

Cameron Diaz recently told InStyle her short haircut was “freeing” — but she had very different words for Jay Leno Tuesday night.

“There was a little misunderstanding,” she explained on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno of her pre-Christmas cut. “I said, ‘Oh I just want a little bit off’ … and it went from here to here,” she added, gesturing two very different hair lengths.

Once Diaz saw the new do, her reaction wasn’t so pleasant. “I just burst into tears and started crying, and I felt so vulnerable,” she explained. “For a woman to all of a sudden have no hair, oh my god.”

What made the situation even more awkward was the fact that Diaz’s hairstylist happened to be a good friend. “I felt really bad, she felt really bad, she started crying, I started crying, a couple of other people started crying,” Diaz said. But soon the situation smoothed over. “I ended up writing her a few emails after, the next couple days, assuring her I wasn’t going to kill her.”

Rose Byrne’s Stylist Gives the Perfect Blowout How-To

Have a hot date tonight? Maybe a girls’ night out? Whatever the occasion, you want your hair to look hot! We recently got a few moments with John Frieda’s Harry Josh (he did Rose Byrne’s hair for the Oscars) and snagged a few tips on achieving the perfect blowout at home.

1. Prep your hair. “Take a good look at your hair type and identify its weakness,” Josh says, citing examples like frizz and lack of volume. When you get out of the shower, treat your hair with a product that targets that weakness: Frizz-Ease (Original Formula Hair Serum or the new Sheer Solution Lightweight Frizz Control) for frizzy hair, or Fully Repair Style Revival for damaged, overworked tresses.

2. Add heat. Josh suggests tackling your hair one section at a time, separating it into one-inch chunks. “This will ensure that you’re getting your hair truly dry, as well as creating the optimum amount of volume and sleekness,” he explains. Be sure to use the right brush, too; Josh recommends one with boar bristles, since brushes with metal bristles can get too hot, snagging and breaking hair.

Jennifer Morrison’s Stylist Explains Her Dramatic Hair Transformation

Red alert! Jennifer Morrison dyed her hair a vivid shade of red last week, switching from her usual bright blonde for her role in the upcoming film Some Girl(s). So how’d she do it? We talked to her stylist, Wella Professionals’ Riawna Capri, to get the scoop.

According to Capri, it “surprisingly didn’t take long” to change Morrison’s color. “I filled her blonde for about 15 minutes, did a rich red for 20 minutes, threw over an extra red gloss for pop and that was it,” she tells PEOPLE. “It took about 45 minutes for color, then about two hours [to dye her] Great Lengths Extensions and cut. Jen was like, ‘That didn’t take long at all!’”

Though the actress loves the look — “It’s a nice excuse to change things up for a little bit,” she told InStyle.com — getting back to blonde could be more time-consuming. “That will be a whole other story,” Capri says. “[We'll have to take] more precautions.”

Meet Pantene’s New Girl, Zooey Deschanel!

Who’s that Pantene girl? Zooey Deschanel! The actress is following in the footsteps of Naomi Watts and Eva Mendes as the latest face of the beauty brand, representing the Pantene Beautiful Lengths collection in television, print and online ads beginning in August.

“I am so excited to be a part of the Pantene family,” Deschanel tells PEOPLE. “Anyone who knows me knows that I am really into hair. I’m a real girly girl and love doing my hair and experimenting with different styles.” She added that Pantene products have cut down on her styling regimen: “I washed my hair last night with the products, went to bed with my hair wet and when I woke up my hair looked really great. That’s half the battle! It makes my life easier.”

The Beautiful Lengths Collection includes Pro-V keratin protection shampoos, conditioners and stylers that prevent breakage and split ends to help women grow their hair longer, according to a release.

“It is really amazing to be representing the Beautiful Lengths Collection,” Deschanel adds. “The products are fantastic but they also support the Pantene Beautiful Lengths Program, which is a wonderful cause.” In fact, as part of the initiative, the company plans to donate more than $1 million to create wigs for women battling cancer. “They’re helping to provide confidence,” Deschanel explains. “You can’t put a price on that.”

Are You Loving Maria Menounos’s Crimped Hair?

Maria Menounos Hair

We’ll admit it: we have fond memories of crimping our hair in the late 1980s. The look went perfectly with scrunch socks and oversize neon T-shirts, obviously!

Since then, though, our crimping irons have been safely tucked away — but the same can’t be said for Maria Menounos. The TV hostess and Dancing with the Stars contestant partied with dance partner Derek Hough in Los Angeles recently, and fully embraced the hairstyle, crimping her long brunette locks from top to bottom.

Though current hair trends lean more toward those beachy, just-got-out-of-bed waves, we think Menounos may actually pull this one off. But what do you think? Are you loving her look? Vote in our poll below and leave your response in the comments; your answers could appear in the July issue of PEOPLE StyleWatch.
