Donato Sardella/WireImage

Do you have that friend that you have to take with you when you shop? Or the one who always seems to find the best stuff on sale? Personal shopper sale site Shop It To Me, asked more than 900 women to weigh in on which stars they think are the savviest shoppers — Reese Witherspoon topped the list, with Michelle Obama coming in a close second. Other favorites in the survey included Jennifer Aniston, Rachel Bilson and Tyra Banks, each of whom garnered spots in the top five. When it comes to actually going shopping with their star favorites, most women wanted Aniston and Witherspoon at their side. Amy Adams’s Teen Fashion Past: A Gap Store Employee!

Courtesy W Magazine

Before Amy Adams was nominated for an Oscar, the redheaded actress could be found folding shirts at the local Gap. In a candid interview in the May issue of W, the Doubt star dishes about life before becoming famous and the changes that stardom brings. And while she has since worked with everyone from Meryl Streep to Leonardo DiCarprio, Kirstie Alley, Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts, landing the Gap job at age 18 was a dream come true. “[It was] a huge deal, because with the 40-percent-off discount I could finally buy things that weren’t on sale!” the star tells W. And for a girl in high school, that meant a lot. “We were defined by the clothes we bought at the mall,” she says. And while Amy now has her pick of labels like Oscar de la Renta and Carolina Herrera, her teenage years were more about making do. “I would make fake Guess jeans by buying a cheaper brand with a triangle label and then cutting it off so you could still see the triangle outline. It’s so sad that I did that! But I really wanted to be one of those girls,” Amy recalls about trying to keep up with the cool crowd. Check out more from Amy’s interview with W at wmagazine.com or pick up the magazine when it hits stands April 21.

SNEAK PEEK: Matthew Williamson for H&M

Courtesy of H&M

Matthew Williamson’s much-anticipated line for H&M is set to hit stores in just one month. The first shipment will arrive on April 23, followed by a second delivery on May 14 — and we can hardly wait! The British designer — who counts such stars as Eva Longoria Parker, Lindsay Lohan, Mischa Barton, Sienna Miller and more as fans– is brightening up the affordable retail chain with his bold patterns and bright prints in everything from swimwear to evening gowns. While this collection is certainly more expensive than typical H&M merchandise — prices start at $25 for a pendant necklace to $249 each for this leather jacket and sequin minidress to $349 for this beaded maxidress — they are a fraction of Williamson’s normal prices. For example, a similiar studded belt from his top line retails for $995 (at net-a-porter.com) compared to its $50 H&M price tag. Now that’s a steal! Tell us: Are you excited about the Matthew Williamson for H&M line?
