Awards season is a busy time in the PEOPLE offices, but awards show Sundays tend to be some of our favorite days at work. We all show up in sweatpants, order in food, turn on the television and start shouting about the dresses almost immediately. We know you’re doing the same exact thing at home, and we’ve always wanted a way to invite you to join the madness (especially once it starts to get late and we’re talking back to the show hosts. That’s okay, we bet Tina and Amy won’t mind).

Enter PEOPLE Red Carpet: A whole channel of the website that now has its own Facebook, Twitter and Instagram totally devoted to sharing our best red carpet celebrity selfies, most up-to-the-date designer dress information and our stream-of-consciousness thoughts during the preshow gown parade. Of course, we’ll also be providing scoop, style advice and some really gorgeous photos as well, so you’ll be completely up-to-date with us from the first glass of champagne to the moment the heels come off.

We want to talk about a lot of things that happened at Wednesday’s CMA Awards. Specifically, there’s Taylor Swift‘s version of red carpet camouflage and everything Brad Paisley said and, please, we beg you, don’t even get us started on Carrie Underwood‘s wardrobe changes again. Read More

Think the wardrobe department was impressed — or impossibly exhausted? (Maybe a little of both?)

Carrie Underwood changed looks a staggering 10 times Wednesday night at the CMA Awards, bringing a whole array of designer looks to the stage at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena.

After hitting the red carpet in a sparkly, sheer nude gown (and that oh-so-high hair), the night’s co-host changed into a brown minidress with leg wings (not pictured) to deliver the opening monologue. Next up: equally sparkly Badgley Mischka pants (this is Nashville, after all), a tummy-baring top and blinged-out headband to poke fun at the Miley Cyrus/Robin Thicke excitement of the VMAs. Sure, Carrie sported a foam finger, but we can’t imagine her ever slipping into that nude latex two-piece.

If You Think These CMA Stars Look Amazing From the Back, Wait 'Til You See the Front!

We can always count on the ladies of country music to bring the glamour. No understated LBDs here — instead, the CMA Awards red carpet saw ballgowns, sequins, sparkles, tulle and big hair galore. And three of our favorite ladies ensured that we had a fabulous 360° view so we could appreciate their gowns coming and going.

Taylor Swift‘s Elie Saab gown is all high-drama from the front and sultry open back when she turns around. Kellie Pickler, on the other hand, delivers an eyeful from all angles — her black Georges Chakra Couture bustier dress is all dangerous curves. And Miranda Lambert shows off her super-svelte shape in a blue sequin number with tiger-stripe like detailing on the front and a criss-cross open back.

So yeah, these dresses look gorgeous from behind — and you haven’t even seen the front view yet. Check out our gallery of 14 CMA gowns you just can’t miss and let us know who your favorite is below!
