Tori Spelling’s ‘Spinning’ Anniversary Ring from Dean McDermott: All the Exclusive Details

After seven years of marriage, Dean McDermott wanted to change things up a little.

So when he approached L.A. jewelry designer Neil Lane about creating a special anniversary gift for his wife Tori Spelling, McDermott cut to the chase: “Dean wanted something unusual, different and something very special and celebratory,” Lane tells PEOPLE. “Every year he gets Tori a ring to honor a renewal of their vows and this year, their 7th year of marriage, was really important to him. He loves her so much and it had to be special.”

Mission accomplished. After Lane mulled over many designs in short order — “I had less than a week to come up with the perfect gift,” he says — the result was a dazzling ring set in 18k gold with over 150 small rose cut diamonds, for a total of about 3 carats. And the fun part? “It spins around!” says the celebrated jeweler. “It’s a diamond ball, a little diamond world, and Tori can spin it on her finger.”

After reading last week’s post, with Balenciaga staffers flying in from Paris and custom emerald cuffs being created just for one night, you’re probably thinking, “How could this possibly relate to my life or me getting ready for an event?”

The process is one that has been done for many years and it works. You start with an idea, or something that you love, an inspiration — and then you go look for something that’s not the exact same, but has the same feeling. For example: say you saw something extremely romantic and you can relate to that image and it reflects your personality and your style. Keep that image in mind when you’re shopping.

Also, when picking a dress be sure to pick something that fits your body type. If you have broad shoulders and have smaller hips I would suggest wearing something really fitted. If you have larger hips and are smaller on top, maybe find something that has a more defined waist, with a skirt that has more volume. These are little tricks that work to create illusions. I love magic!

It’s no surprise to anyone who has ever spent any time on PEOPLE.com that Jessica Alba has some of the cutest street style around.

But even with her stellar track record, we still took notice of her three super-cute looks within 72 hours — and thought we should give her credit for really pulling out all the stops.

For a day of traveling, she went with spill-proof black layers. She toughened up a silky maxi and classic back with a studded leather jacket and added comfy ankle-strap flats.

Savannah Guthrie’s Engagement Ring: All the Details!

When Savannah Guthrie announced her engagement on the Today Show Monday morning, we couldn’t have been the only viewers at home shouting at the television for a close-up of the ring.

The show’s anchor gave her co-hosts a great view of her new, sparkly accessory — and even Bradley Cooper got to get up close and personal — but we were dying for a better look.

Luckily, Guthrie was happy to share, passing along a peek at her classic ring from fiancé Mike Feldman, who called himself “the luckiest guy in the world” while calling into the Today Show‘s fourth hour.

Feldman selected the ring himself from a jeweler in Philadelphia, where he grew up, says a Today Show spokeswoman. It’s a round solitaire diamond in a classic platinum setting, with pavé diamonds in the band.

And though Guthrie said she wouldn’t televise her nuptials, after seeing how gorgeous this ring is, we don’t know if we’ll be able to make it without seeing photos of the dress, flowers, wedding bands … you name it.

Kendall and Kylie Jenner Film a Just-For-Us Video for Their New PacSun Collection

Kylie and Kendall Jenner have had lots of experience in front of a video camera, which we assume was all practice for this big moment: The sisters taped an exclusive clip just for PEOPLE StyleWatch, giving those of us not in L.A. a chance to visit their PacSun summer collection launch (which took place Saturday in Santa Monica, Calif.).

In the video, the model/designer duo singles out which of their brand-new pieces they’re especially loving (spoiler alert: Kendall’s wearing hers!), and they give our readers a sweet shout-out before hosting a meet-and-greet (and getting a surprise visit from Kendall’s rumored boyfriend Jaden Smith!)
