Arriving at QVC’s runway show in New York Wednesday night, Camila Alves seemed to have a little extra sparkle, in the form of a stunning three-stone sparkler on her finger. The handbag designer was out for the first time since her Christmas engagement to longtime love Matthew McConaughey, and put her gorgeous engagement ring on display for all to see.

“I am really enjoying being engaged right now … no wedding plans as of yet,” she told reporters. But speaking to PEOPLE earlier in the week, she was happy to dish on her fiancé’s sense of style. “Matthew has great taste,” she said. “He always has great opinions on what works and what doesn’t.” He even gives input on Alves’s handbag line, Muxo, which she designs with her mother. “We are one big family so we share everything — including opinions on the creations for the line.”

Alves’s latest collection, which she’ll present on QVC this Saturday, was inspired by her recent travels through Texas, Arkansas, New Orleans, California and New York. “We are really having fun mixing all of the inspirations from the various landscapes that we’ve been collecting for some time now,” she shared.

The Brazilian beauty fell in love with fashion at an early age; her mother, a designer by trade, would let her help with various projects. “It taught me so much about design,” she explained. “And after I had moved to the States I was looking for something to do with my mom to help the family in Brazil … so we created our first handbag together.”

Though the pair has their moments — “Sometimes we butt heads like any mother and daughter,” Alves admitted — they feel “blessed” to work together. “We have a great relationship, and we create in a very unique way together.”

From blushing bride-to-be to mega-watt model, Anne Hathaway is wearing many hats lately! The actress brings her best face to the TOD’s Signature Collection spring campaign, promoting a line of Italian bags and small leather goods that hit TOD’s boutiques in October.

Shot in London last year by photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott (they did her fall campaign, too), the ads will bow in the weeks ahead, appearing in fashion magazines worldwide. “The campaign for TOD’s Signature reaches out to a new and younger clientele,” creative director Fabien Baron said in a release, adding that Hathaway was the right woman for the job. “We see a stunningly exquisite Anne as a classic beauty with a modern Italian edge — feminine and strong.”

Hathaway, for her part, is honored to be associated with the brand. “I have been a longtime fan of TOD’s and was very excited to be a part of exploring a new side of their identity with the launch of their Signature Collection,” she added. “The designs are classic and the materials are of the highest quality.”

Black Swan star Mila Kunis is spreading her wings, becoming the latest celebrity to join the Christian Dior family.

The actress’ first ads for the Miss Dior handbag — shot in New York by photographer Mikael Jansson — will debut internationally in Asian and European editions of ELLE, Vogue and Madame Figaro on Jan. 15. Appearances in U.S. media outlets will follow later in the month.

“I am absolutely thrilled to be working with Dior,” Kunis said in a statement. “The brand is iconic in so many ways. It defines fashion, elegance and sophistication.”

In signing with the French fashion house, Kunis joins Lady Dior handbags’ current face, Marion Cotillard (who will remain in her role), plus Black Swan costar Natalie Portman, the spokesmodel for Miss Dior Cherie perfume. Charlize Theron also models for Dior beauty and J’adore Dior fragrance, and Jude Law, Sophie Marceau and Sharon Stone have ties to the brand, as well. From flowing floor-length gowns to shimmery frocks with plunging necklines, Stacy Keibler‘s red carpet looks have been talked about almost as much as her new relationship. So what are her fashion rules when it comes to supporting boyfriend George Clooney at star-studded events?

“There are certain dresses that are more appropriate to wear,” she tells PEOPLE. “It’s so fun to wear a long dress to a premiere because there aren’t that many chances [to do that]. I really love to do that.”

But just because she’s a supportive girlfriend doesn’t mean she doesn’t also enjoy dressing up for herself. “When I’m by myself, I can do whatever I want,” Keibler explains. “I can play with my style a little bit more and be a little bit more funky.”

However, her holiday must-have is not so funky; it’s “a really great black dress,” she says. “You can change your lip, add a blazer or a fancy sequin jacket, change your shoe or change your bag. You can use it a couple times.”

She’s a California girl, but with husband Jerry O’Connell starring in Broadway’s Seminar right now, Rebecca Romijn is swapping her sundresses for snow boots while living in New York. “Rebecca’s got her coats out,” O’Connell told PEOPLE last week. “She’s got her boots out. You can’t be wearing flip-flops in this city.”

But the actor says his wife is just fine with the change. “She likes her New York fashion. It’s a lot different than California.” In fact, he’s hoping the east coast look rubs off on twin daughters Dolly and Charlie, almost 3, too. “I grew up in New York City and I want my girls to have that New York edge,” he said. “I want them to be cool city girls.”

To celebrate that love of the city — and of each other — Romijn and O’Connell renewed their vows on Friday 11/11/11 at 11:11:11 a.m., at the corner of 11th Street and 11th Avenue in Manhattan. They even wore some corduroy — the official fabric of 11/11 — to play into the theme. “It was a little chilly,” O’Connell admitted. “We hung out for five minutes.”

To mark the occasion, O’Connell presented his bride with a Lulu Guinness red Swarovski lips clutch ($1,025), which she held in photos from the ceremony. “I wanted to get her a trinket — jewelry or something — because this is only going to happen once,” O’Connell recalled. “But she had her eyes on that bag. So we renewed our vows, I gave her that little handbag and that’s it.”

Creating handbags seemed like a logical step for jewelry designer Matthew Campbell Laurenza, whose MCL accessories have been seen on Julianne Hough, Kristin Cavallari and Carrie Underwood. So when the opportunity arose, Laurenza made two collections for spring — “Gold Crest” and “Purple Crest” — available starting Friday exclusively on Gilt.com.

“I consider bags to be a very important staple in a well-dressed woman’s wardrobe, and believe that they should be precious whether literally or figuratively,” Laurenza tells PEOPLE. “Since I had the means to literally make them precious, I chose to.”

The Gold Crest handbags are each handcrafted using embroidered fabrics and Italian leather or snakeskin. Each purse is completed with sapphires, rubies and other semi-precious gems. The Purple Crest collection is similar, but the bags were designed to transition from day to night, made with textured leathers in complementary color combinations. “I think people should get what they pay for,” he says. “Using high-quality materials but keeping it at an obtainable price fits into this belief. Inside DVF: What do you always keep in your bag no matter what?
LL: Well other than the basics: keys, phone, etc. I always have a makeup bag with a few lip glosses and mascara, and a bag of  “in case” stuff — blister blockers, headache medicine, a Tide stick, breath mints, Band-Aids. And SUNSCREEN!

Inside DVF: What is your bag style? Do you keep it organized, or just throw everything in there?
LL: I like a big bag … but the danger is that I can spend waaaaay too much time rummaging around in there looking for stuff, which is both annoying and embarrassing. So I try to keep it neat in there. Zipper pouches are really helpful, as well as a weekly clean out of the entire bag.

With her penchant for oversize sunglasses, sky-high heels and on-trend baubles, it’s understandable that the Accessories Council Excellence Awards named Nicole Richie its 2011 ‘Influencer of the Year.’

Less expected is the House of Harlow designer’s laid-back attitude toward personal style: “It’s not that deep for me,” she confesses to WWD. “It’s whatever I feel comfortable in at that time.”

A seasoned businesswoman, Richie’s first concern is the consumer. “To me, success isn’t measured by dollar signs,” she explains. “It’s really about paying attention to feedback and talking to my customer.”

And with an empire that includes jewelry, footwear, sunglasses and handbags, Richie refuses to expand for expansion’s sake. “With everything I do, I want to make sure that I take the time and make each category the best that it can be,” she continues. “I tend to move very slowly and I do that on purpose so that I can make sure that everything that I design really is the best version of what it is.”

But has the influencer always had a handle on personal style? “When I was a little girl, my mom used to always get us matching dresses for everything—so I was wearing the poufy skirt version of whatever my mom was wearing,” she laughs before adding, “I had the worst, hairiest eyebrows and a big afro.”

Petra Ecclestone became known this summer as the world’s richest bride. But her older sister Tamara is no slouch in the luxury department, either — particularly when it comes to shoes.

Tamara, 27, a TV personality in Britain and the daughter of Formula One billionaire Bernie Ecclestone, opened her shoe closet to Closer magazine to reveal 100 pairs of Christian Louboutin heels, 15 pairs of Ugg boots, 20 pairs of sneakers (“though I never work out,” she tells the magazine) and a handful of Ginas and Jimmy Choos.

The value of her shoes alone? Easily $100,000, the Daily Mail estimates.

Her shoes and clothes take up the entire spare bedroom of Ecclestone’s apartment in London’s chic Chelsea district. She also owns loads of designer bags and dresses, and admits that she “usually only wears clothes once.” The Closer staff believes her entire wardrobe to be worth around one million British pounds.

“My mum’s horrified by the amount I spend on clothes,” the socialite shares. Style maven that she is, newlywed Kim Kardashian couldn’t go bag-less on her big day. And with an over-the-top glam celebration, it was only fitting that her purse kept with the theme. So Judith Leiber, known for her creative crystal evening clutches, designed custom bags for the whole Kardashian clan.

“They were incredible,” Kardashian tells PEOPLE. The design process began with a call between the Leiber team and the mother of the bride, Kris Jenner, who shared her thoughts on color scheme and the overall look and feel to the custom bags.

Leiber decided to begin by updating the Judith Leiber crystal monogram bag with classic block letters (Kim’s read “kHk”) and a contrast border at the edge of each bag, punctuated by large square crystal at each corner to accent the clean graphic lettering.

In keeping with the tailored black-and-white theme of the monogrammed bags, they also developed a custom pattern for a second bag for the bride: a Kardashian wedding cake minaudiere. Leiber wrapped the cake in jet ribbons created by enameled bow ornaments and size-graduated jet crystal baguettes. They then added vintage oval onyx cabachons and small mother of pearl tiles from Leiber’s stone archive to create the geometric motif. The team hand painted the wedding cake bag for Kardashian and then spent one week hand placing the stones in their New York City design studio and atelier.

To finish the stunning clutches, Leiber included the signature “something blue” lining she uses in all her bridal collection handbags. The sparkling bags were unveiled to Kardashian, her bridal party and mom Jenner the Thursday night before the wedding at the rehearsal dinner. “It was so much fun and it was kind of the night where everyone gave their speeches and just really had a good time,” says the bride. For her role in the upcoming Gimme Shelter, Vanessa Hudgens didn’t just play her character — she became her character. “The tattoo, the hair, the clothes, the piercings, the attitude, the everything,” she tells PEOPLE. “The walk, the talk … it was a completely new person. I really did look like a boy.” Gaining 10 lbs. for the role, plus chopping her hair and adding several piercings “automatically puts you into a different headspace,” she says. “Not to mention the places we were filming. We were in the grimiest, dirtiest places, and I was fighting every day, being fought, being beat down and it was all extremely draining even though it was acting.” Speaking to PEOPLE Monday at Neutrogena’s Wave for Change event in Los Angeles, the actress, still sporting cropped hair, said life has calmed since filming — and aside from a summer of skydiving and tattooing, she’s happy to be helping a good cause. “I love working with charities, I love children, and there is so much we can do,” she said. “Wave for Change makes it super easy for kids to make a difference and give back.” Hudgens, Hayden Panettiere and Miranda Cosgrove each designed a tote bag for Wave for Change, available through Aug. 31 for those who purchase two Neutrogena products at Target. She promised us purses, and purses she created. Nicole Richie officially unveiled the House of Harlow 1960 handbag collection today, and the options are plentiful — and pretty! Based on the line’s Bohemian vibe, the collection includes croc clutches, leather carry-alls and everything in between. According to a release, the concept behind the line was juxtaposing casual and luxury, combining relaxed vintage leathers with materials like young calf hair. Hardware also played a big role in the design; gold and black triangle studs frame some of the bigger bags, and jaguar heads close clutches. “I wanted to make sure that each piece is special and then be able to grow it slowly and organically season after season,” Richie told WWD of the new collection. “I always try to design pieces that are universal, meaning anyone can wear and carry it.” The bags, available at high-end department and specialty stores beginning in mid-July, will range in price from $150 to $625. Growing up, designer L’Wren Scott could usually hear the moment when her mother arrived home at night. “She always had a very chic and sleek bag, and it always made a sound. For Flockhart, it’s all about the classics. “It has to be comfortable and it can’t be trendy,” she said, “I don’t want any big label on it. She may be a supermodel-turned-actress, but Brooklyn Decker is still a bargain hunter. “I love a good sale,” the Just Go With It star admitted to reporters in New York recently. “I grew up in North Carolina so the whole New York fashion thing is still somewhat new. It’s only been five years since I’ve even been here so a good sale is always easy on the eyes and easy on the wallet.” Fêting the launch of the latest fashion flash sale site, Amazon’s MYHABIT.COM, Decker even rocked her favorite on-sale purchase: “They’re Dolce & Gabbana, they’re lace booties and I got them 20 percent off at one of the flash sale sites online. I love them.” And Decker wasn’t the only one sporting a discounted designer buy that night. For Vanessa Hudgens, it was her accessory choice for the evening. “This bag! Good ol’ Givenchy.
