Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, Is a Secret Outlet-Mall Aficionado
Even royalty can’t resist the call of a good bargain! The Duchess of Cambridge was spotted shopping the designer outlets at Bicester Village in Oxfordshire on Sunday.
With her impending trip to Malta coming up (and all the wardrobe changes that will entail), Kate made sure to hit up some of her favorite brands at the mall, such as Temperley London, Jimmy Choo and Reiss — all marked down up to 80 percent.
And in addition to stopping by all her go-to shops, Kate also made a few surprise stops. Fellow shoppers took to Twitter to share their excitement at having seen Kate in Ralph Lauren, and PEOPLE can confirm that she spent some time browsing celeb-fave Valentino.
The Italian label, known for its glamorous evening wear and formal daywear could perhaps be on the fashion hit list for Kate’s trip next month on behalf of the Queen. It will be Kate’s first overseas trip without Prince William, and as the Queen’s representative, she will be keen to impress.
Kate was said to be her usual happy, polite and gracious self while browsing the racks, apparently on her own (no personal shopper in sight!). “Chuffed to bits I met Kate Middleton today, had a little chat and she was lovely,” reported onlooker Leah Byrne on Twitter.
But of course, little George was never far from the new mom’s mind — she reportedly picked up some designer pajamas for the toddler in addition to some bathmats for their home.
