Margot Robbie Dyes Her Hair Red

Margot Robbie has just made a daring hair move — she’s attempted the “Rachel McAdams Tress Trifecta,” in which an actress proves she can pull off any hair color by, well, wearing them all. Even more impressive? Robbie made her mane changes three times in fewer than six months, achieving her goal by debuting a new redheaded do just as May comes to a close. And judging by the first photo above, we’re ready to go ahead and hand her that McAdams Commemorative Trophy.

Robbie started 2014 as the extremely memorable blonde bombshell from The Wolf of Wall Street, making a major splash on the Golden Globes red carpet in a pristine white Gucci gown that offset both her angelic blonde locks and killer body. By the end of January, however, Robbie had traded her golden locks for a more subdued brunette hue for her role in Z for Zachariah. At the time, she wrote on social media, “She ain’t a Duchess no more!” and “I’m now officially a brunette and spent the day milking cows and driving tractors!”

She then took her brunette do — much more glammed up and glossy than in her WhoSay snap — to the Oscars, where she told us “I feel very mysterious as a brunette!” She also confessed to enjoying the new hue so much, she might stick with it for a while — “I’ll wait until I know what my next movie is,” she said at the time.

According to IMDB, Robbie’s next film is Tarzan (though she hasn’t started shooting yet), so either Jane Porter has gone ginger, or this is just a half-step in between Robbie’s darker do and her return to blonde. We’re loving it on her, though (especially with that mod ’60s vibe she’s rocking), so here’s hoping she hangs on to that McAdams mantle for a bit.

Do you love her as a redhead? Which hair color is your favorite on her? Tell us in the comments!

She’s so gorgeous she can do it, like Rachel but I’m pretty sure this is just the middle step on her way back to blonde. Note she has to keep sacrificing length, changing your color that drastically always fries it, trust me, I know from experience!

Probably a dumb question..but why can’t movie studios let actresses just wear wigs for different roles? Seems so drastic to have to change your hair colour for every new role. I think she’s most stunning as a blonde.

Holly, I think it’s because full wigs don’t look natural. You can tell by the hairline.

actually the wig thing is a great idea — Melanie on Scandal said she wears one for her role and it looks very natural. You can pay the money and get a good realistic wig.

This is a whole lot better than the horrible brunette color some really bad hairdresser put on her, but she still looks best with the blonde.

Watch it Margot all that hair coloring will make you bald in no time.
