Whitney Port Picks Her Fave Wedding Dresses, From the See-Through Gown to a White Eyelet Bikini?!

04/22/2014 at 11:30 AM ET

We bet you already have a few weddings marked down in your calendar this year, and even if you don’t, you can still get excited about all the celebrity weddings on the horizon. Bride-to-be Whitney Port has been busily planning her wedding and now she’s sharing her top dress picks from this year’s Bridal Fashion week. So, of course we had to round up some of her most head-turning — and skin-baring — selections.

“The idea of a beach wedding sounds so beautiful to me, so I loved this one,” the star tells Brides magazine of the two-piece Oscar de la Renta design (first above) featuring a white eyelet bikini and coordinating skirt. “I like that it’s very simple, but still delicate, and not the traditional wedding dress.”

Next up, a sleek Vera Wang gown, which is in line with her own wedding dress vision. “I’ve been toying with the idea of wearing a classic slip dress and this look is just simple and comfortable. You don’t have to worry about anything or the fuss of a big ball gown.” (This would be our pick for the star as well, who told PEOPLE, “I’ve always envisioned that Cindy Crawford beach slip kind of dress.”)

Port, who got engaged to fiancé Tim Rosenman last November, has also considered flashing some undergarments for her trek down the aisle (a look we’re curious if Kim Kardashian will go for.) “Another idea I considered was trying the see-through trend, where you can see the bra and panties underneath. I didn’t know if that was okay for a wedding, but this dress shows you can make the look tasteful,” Port tells the mag of the Houghton design above (We had to pixelate the model’s, er, naughty bits). “Plus, it features a lot of sequins and beading — I’m a sucker for anything metallic or sequined!”

Lastly, Port’s most traditional gown choice comes from designer Naeem Khan’s 2015 collection. “I’ve also been toying with the idea of wearing a veil, and this one makes me feel like I want one. It’s such a beautiful, intricate accessory, especially if you have a very simple dress.”

What do you think of Port’s picks? Are you a fan of the skin-baring wedding dress trends? Share your thoughts below!

I’m surprised by her picks, I thought she had more taste.

A wedding is not the place to show your lady parts. Save that for your honeymoon not something as sacred as your wedding. Have some class about it.

I didn’t even notice the dresses – I was too busy cringing at how painfully thin the models looked. The models (except the one in the 4th picture) look starved and listless, especially the ones in the 2nd and 3rd photos. Made me sick to my stomach.

Da fuq?! Come on, is she joking?

Why single out only Kim, Barbara rea, how about everyone else in the limelight for that matter..also, people who aren’t in the limelight marry more than once….it’s very rare that couples marry once.

why on earth would anybody want to wear a bra and a barely there skirt or that awful sheer gown to her own wedding? and look at the two girls in the middle – they look like skeletons with a little bit of skin over it. i wish these designers would change their mind about what is beautiful. there should be a law that keeps them from doing this to the models and the poor girls who think these models are their role models.

The models look like they’re near death, and I don’t care for Whitney after I saw her on her reality show throwing a hissy fit because a singer didn’t wear her jacket long enough, and totally blamed her assistant, like she had any control over it. I would never buy anything from her.

these are all terrible.

Jessica, the sad and scary thing is don’t people say the camera adds ten pounds. ugh.
