We Have a Lot of Feelings About This Week's Best Dressed Competition

Can we have a heart-to-heart? It’s about this week’s Most Loved Looks competition. Don’t get us wrong, we wouldn’t mind stealing Katie Holmes’s Balenciaga LBD with white trim (worn to the Tiffany & Co. Blue Book Ball in N.Y.C.) — we just think we, as a StyleWatch democracy, can do better when it comes to crowning a winner.

Let’s take Emma Stone, for example. How stunningly gorgeous did she look at the London premiere of The Amazing Spider-Man 2? That beautiful yellow dress, those flawless waves, the bold lips. This ensemble hit all the right style notes, and it’s one of her personal bests from this promotional tour. (We even devoted an entire post to her look!)

We also would have been happy to crown Jessica Biel as this week’s Best Dressed. She attended the same Tiffany & Co. event as Katie, but her velvet Oscar de la Renta halter felt a bit more elegant — and that $325,000 diamond necklace certainly didn’t hurt her case.

Or what about Kate Bosworth? She took Jessica’s lead at the Tiffany & Co. event and went for pure glamour in a pink strapless Katie Ermilio gown, but then took an on-trend risk with a bold orange pout.

And then there’s Kiernan Shipka, our 14-year-old fashion icon, who stepped out at a Jimmy Choo event wearing a summer-ready yellow-and-gray Preen dress, plus what might be our new favorite pair of heels.

We would have been happy with any of these ladies as the winner, but Katie took it with over 17,000 votes. We’re not necessarily angry with the results, we’re just disappointed. But there’s always next week!

Tell us: Did you vote for Katie, or do you think another star should have taken this week’s title?

It’s about this week’s Most Loved Looks competition. Katie Holmes look for the Tiffany & Co Blue Book event is a timeless style . This black-and-white Balenciaga mini dress and Manolo Blahnik pumps. It remind me of something Audrey Hepburn would wear. Something that is sadly missing from most of celebrity looks is elegance. Katie’s look and style is very elegant! People users made the right vote!

I think Katie won because she usually doesn’t pick the best outfits and she looks beautiful in this. I agree with another commenter I never see anything positive written about Katie. People should be happy we even vote in the first place. If this is what is chosen then respect it. On another note I think Kate Bosworth should of been second I lovee that dress on her and the red lips.

Emma looks awful in yellow. She is too pale to wear that shade. She is a pretty girl who looks great in vibrant colors. Not a fan of the pink dress either. I think the fans got it right with Katie. Classic and elegant does not have to equal boring.

p.s. Kiernan’s dress and shoes are ADORABLE….she is becoming quite the fashion plate and such a cute girl.

Dear People Stylewatch, if you want to pick the winners, why bother putting up a poll???

Katie’s dress was simple and classic. You can never go wrong with a simple black dress (unless your Kim Kardashian).

She looked beautiful! That’s why she won. Jessica Beil could come in second but Katie is the winner here. Deal with it people.com

Why do you ask us to vote? You clearly seem to know who you think should win. Either tally our votes and honor the winner, or do an article about who YOU think is best this week. Don’t ask our opinion, then swat at both us for liking it and the winner for winning. That’s catty and just plain rude.

Don’t get me wrong, we wouldn’t mind voting in your little weekly game — we just think you, as the folks running StyleWatch, can do better when it comes to posting the winner nicely.
