Sarah Hyland Goes Blonde for Coachella (Join the Club, Kid)

Apparently something’s in the water at Coachella (and perhaps whatever it is could explain the … shall we say, unique … outfits we see on celebrities in attendance). There must be something about dancing in the desert wearing feathers and boots without socks that makes you want to lighten up your hair a shade or two (or ten, in the case of Vanessa Hudgens and Kylie Jenner).

Joining those two recently-blonde starlets is Sarah Hyland, who updated her ombré locks (most recently seen topped by a floral crown) with an allover wash of honey-blonde color. Though the beaded headdress and facial jewelry are a bit distracting, once you look past them, you can see that she’s lightened her locks from root to tips (unlike Vanessa and Kylie, who went for a more contrasting brunette-to-blonde fade). Her highlights range from platinum to sand throughout.

We can’t imagine this is a permanent look (unless we’re going to see her Modern Family character going through a rebellious phase sometime soon) but we actually like her as a blonde for the time being. How are you feeling about her do update? Thoughts on all these girls at Coachella lightening up?

She’s a butter face anytime, and the blonde doesn’t help.

I really dislike when beautiful dark haired women go blonde. Yes, it’s hair. It’s an easy style change, but to me there is something gorgeous about dark hair.
I’m sad that our culture seems so obsessed with blonde hair.

She’s too dark for the blond hair. The “hombre” look was okay, because her hair at the top of her head was dark. But she’s not meant to be blond. Plus, “rebellious stage”? Who wrote this? She’s heading into her mid 20’s. At her age, I was married and a young mom. Maybe she just wants to see how she looks blond. She’s a grown-up. She’s allowed.
