Want to nab an Adam Levine look-alike? Then you might want to dress the part of a gal Adam Levine would want to date. The Maroon 5 frontman just launched his first women’s collection at Kmart, and he has some sound style advice for the female population.

“Don’t overthink things,” Levine shares. “I always go back to the idea that style should be effortless. I think that’s the most important tip.”

The Voice judge’s new collection — which ranges in price from $12.99 to $29.99 — includes some breezy sundresses, cutoffs and (of course) crop tops, along with a line of accessories. (We have a feeling his fiancée, boho beauty and supermodel Behati Prinsloo, was the muse behind his collection.)

“The best thing about designing a women’s collection is that I was able to create pieces that I would like to see a woman wear,” Levine says in a statement. “It’s been a really cool process working … to replicate that simple yet sophisticated style for a woman.”

As for his personal fashion inspiration, the singer revealed during the launch of his men’s collection that there is one superhero in particular he can’t get enough of. “This is going to sound silly, but my style icon is Batman,” he confides. “Especially the Christian Bale Batman. He’s very suave.”

The collection is now available at select Kmart locations and exclusively at ShopYourWay.com. Tell us: What do you think of Levine’s venture into women’s fashion? What pieces are you loving?

Surrrre, Adam Levine. OR you threw your name on something to make some extra $$$. Because I’m sure Adam is in KMart all the time. :P

“I created pieces I want to see women to wear”.

Translation: My fashion line contains plunging necklines, transparent material and bottoms with “breakaway” tabs.

Adam…stop it. You DO NOT want to see a woman in KMart clothes. Another celebrity exploiting the low-income consumer who wants to buy clothes with a celeb’s name on them…

Jessica on

There’s something so arrogant about this guy..

Dina on

His clothes are for adolescent girls. Nothing special or different about these. Kind of immature really

@tinytexan, how is it exploitation to want some descent clothes, celeb name attached or not, for a price that the low-income consumer can actually afford. It would be exploitation if he did a line that was priced out of the reach of a low income consumer while still marketing it to them. It really doesn’t matter if he or Sophia Vergara shop in K-mart or not, what matters is that he is willing to cater to a market that many wouldn’t even consider.

Clothes you would like to see women wear? So short and not much material? Wow, you’re not a typical male, are you?

Paul on

Yeah, right. He wants to see women in K-Mart clothing. which famous model in $5,000 underwear is his girlfriend?

Kristie on

Nobody’s being exploited; whether you buy is up to you. If it matters to a shopper to get a name brand, or a celebrity brand, that’s their choice and no one else’s business. But I always appreciate when celebs lend their names to useful and affordable product. I’m never going to buy a Mercedes, or a Rolex, but I have bought Proactiv, and for a lot of teenagers, boys especially, to see Levine’s early days with acne and his life now, that’s a big deal.
