Kardashian Colorist George Papanikolas Makes One Editor's Ombré Dreams Come True

04/02/2014 at 09:00 AM ET

Khloé Kardashian. Lily Aldridge. Jared Leto. Thanks to these celebs’ remarkably beautiful manes, we’ve all contemplated asking for those perfect sunkissed highlights at the salon. (Who can blame us?) So we decided to reach out to Matrix celebrity hairstylist George Papanikolas (he’s responsible for Khloé’s awesome color and Kim Kardashian’s blonde moment) to get the scoop on the art of Hollywood ombré.

People.com News Director Kristin Boehm — a self-confessed hair color virgin — stopped by the Rita Hazan salon to meet with George for her first adventure in hair color. We don’t want to give too much away (you’ll have to watch the video above!) but Papanikolas has plenty of amazing tips for making even the most untouched hair look natural and shiny post-color.
