Oprah Gives Essence Cover Dress to a Fan Via Twitter

Have you ever looked at a celebrity wearing a beautiful dress on the cover of a magazine and thought to yourself, “I wish I could wear that dress!” So has Atlanta resident Brandi (aka Twitter user @snobaby28), though she took it a step further: She asked Oprah Winfrey if she could have the dress the megastar wore on the March cover of Essence. Even more surprising? Oprah said yes!

Brandi Tweeted at Winfrey about her love for the dress, joking “I know u won’t wear again.” Said Oprah, “You’re right, I won’t,” and directed Brandi to reach out to her assistant to get the exchange underway.

And because Oprah always delivers, a week later, the dress was in Brandi’s hands.

The Brian Rennie for Basler number has a structured bodice and a slightly ombré feathered and fringed skirt — perfect for a glamorous wedding, which Brandi seems to have in mind. “Oprah said the dress was special, but just too fussy and feathery for her to wear on the red carpet so we lucked out!” says editor in chief Vanessa Bush of the dress’s new life.

Not surprised she would give it to a black…

LOVE ! no matter how i feel about a celeb i am always glad when someone’s day is made like this. It takes literally nothing out of oprah, yet it surely but a huge smile on the recipient’s face. I hope she enjoys the new dress

I bet that Ohpra did not even pay a dime for this dress, and that somebody gave this dress to Ohpra for free. Ohpra gets everything for free and that is why she is called Ohpra Winfree!

I’m not surprised she would give it to a black either. I think Ohpra is a racist or reverse racist, and Ohpra has schools over in Africa too, lavish schools for blacks only. And she supported Obama over Hillary Clinton for president in 08, so you know color is more important to Ohpra than gender, and color more important than character. Shame on you Ohpra.

Ohpra is looking old and worn-out lately don’t you think?

@nomoreimmigration, seriously? If you don’t like her, don’t read things about her and comment on them. BTW, trying to be all cute by “misspelling” her name and all that just makes you look uneducated.

So what if she’s racist? She wouldn’t be the 1st racist on earth OR the last? What’s your point??? Were the whites that voted for Hilary racists? Were the blacks that voted for Obama racists? Was Oprah racist when she gave her mostly-white audience cars? Or holiday gifts year after year after year after..? If she is racist, who cares BUT she’s probably not: |

To nomoreimmigration

Oprah is a generous kind woman who has been successful due to her drive and determination to succeed. She has worked hard for what she has. Go find some trolls and hang out together.
