Lily Aldridge isn’t the only model making her mark on the fashion world. Though she and fellow Victoria’s Secret Angel Alessandra Ambrósio are best known for wearing very little clothing, both of them are street style pros, and now both of them have designed casual collections for staple California brands.

Ambrósio’s collection, Ále by Alessandra, reflects the supermodel’s Brazilian/bohemian style mix, with lots of soft fabrics and flowy shapes. It also draws on the model’s time in L.A. with fun prints, ab-baring styles and plunging necklines. And of course, since she spends much of her day in swimwear, you’ll see plenty of stylish cover-ups and beachy, breezy styles, which will incorporate tie-dye, laser-cut details, feathers and silk.

“I cannot think of a better place to launch the apparel for my brand,” Ambrósio said in a statement of the L.A. style mega store Planet Blue, where she’ll be exclusively selling her new “designed and curated” line in stores and online. “The authentic bohemian beach vibe is the perfect backdrop for my very first collection.”

Above, see two of the looks from the upcoming collection, which will range from $60 to $260 and launch on March 17. Tell us: Which style most appeals to you? Would you shop the model’s designs?

Uh no. I wouldn’t wear that. Because I don’t have a figure that would make me look like that. I hope there are more model-esque type women out there who are willing to bare it all for her line! Or its going to go ker-plunk!

I love the style and I love the comfort and ease , what kindof throws me off is that it seems like a line from a boho sheek base that is sold at prices most true free spirits and boho peoe can’t afford . Boho chic people shop at thrift stores , make their own clothes and are still able to look fashionable and sexy because of the unique quality and the fit no because of the price tag , I think the evening dresses are fair don’t get me wrong but when you start selling tshirts at $70 that were made for $5 tops it’s a little frustrating … 25 is barely reasonable for cotton but for the right softness and cut ok but 70? I’m just saying it would be nice to be able to afford to look cute like that without having to spend a months salary (because, let’s be real , we don’t all make the income of a supermodel )on jeans, cotton and linen … Just saying . It would also be cool to see more midriff tops and some light white summer flowy tops, pants, dresses … Good luck ale , despite the fact that I cannot afford your line , I think it’s great …
