High Fashion (Lightsaber) Faceoff: Which Label Does Star Wars Better?
Are you looking to a.) Spark some serious conversation at a party, b.) Get a dude to pay attention to what you’re wearing, or c.) Incorporate some geek chic clothes into your wardrobe? If you said yes to any (or all) of the above questions, then you might want to consider the Star Wars style moment that has now officially become a trend for fall/winter 2014.
First, Rodarte debuted gowns featuring Luke Skywalker, C-3PO, the Death Star and even Yoda at New York Fashion Week (and we imagined who might possibly wear them.) And apparently Darth Vader was feeling left out, because the designers behind British label Preen put Luke’s father on a number of designs in their new fall collection, including psychedelic printed dresses (at left) and even a white-button down that might be appropriate for some office environments. (Especially if you work at Lucasfilm.)
We wonder what’s next: Star Trek jumpsuits? Short-shorts covered in Gremlins print? But for now we want to know: Will this fashion force be with you? Editors here stand divided, but share your thoughts in the comments and tell us: Which label has the better Star Wars gear?
