Britney Spears Is a Brunette, Again! See Her Hair Transformation

Blondes may have more fun, but if you’re Britney Spears — and newly brunette — things are probably going to be just as great.

The pop star, 32, famed for her lush golden locks — and fearless approach to the coif — has changed up her trademark ‘do yet again. Posting a photo on Twitter Saturday, Spears showed off a “spicy” new hair color and return to the darker hues of her youth, posing for her latest big reveal in front of a mirror and holding a bottle of perfume.

“Spice up Valentine’s Day by getting ‘Naughty & Nice’ (pun intended),” Spears wrote, noting her holiday hair makeover as she promotes the release of two of her newest fragrances, “Naughty Remix” and “Nice Remix.”

Judging from the reaction of her followers and fans, the new hue is already being well-received. It’s not the first time Spears has moved away from her more familiar honey shade to deeper-colored tresses. She went dark in 2006, 2007 and twice in 2009, and has rocked everything from bangs to rainbow tips in between.

Not a good pose she looks forced to smile and promote her perfume. Sad.

Love her hair! Shelooks amazing!

Annie on

I like it – but why is somebody’s hair color news. I colored my hair yesterday – don’t see that being news!

Rhonda on

I don’t like her as a brunette. She looks better as a blonde.

Chris on

Not a fan of the fake smile or dark hair. Funny though, she has had a fake smile for many years now. Wish she could just be herself.

Seabot on

That’s so obviously a wig.

Britney has beautiful hair (& a beautifully shaped head as we saw in the past). She looks great in any color. This shade in particular makes her look young, sweet & “innocent”!

K. on

I think, blonde hair suits her better.

Mary Arellano on

Yeah….my hair would like great if I could spend hundreds of dollars on hair extensions and stylists…. Bleh :-p

Is it just me or does her smile looks forced? She looks sad :(

guest on

It is better than blonde

Lilyflower on

She looks good with darker hair.

Lala on

I wish she would stop with the brown. She looks so much better as a blonde!

She looks SO MUCH better with dark “hair”, wig, extensions. Her blonde “hair”, wig, extensions” were so trailer trash. With her money you would think she could find a decent hair stylist

Back when on

She has the most insecure smile.

Ali on

Definitely and very obviously a wig. Duh!

Guest on

I like the brunette so much better, the blonde was starting to look brassy, and make her look like she was trying to be younger than she is. This is much more chic.

anon24 on

looks like a copy of kate middleton or celine dion, but she looks so unhappy

Laura on

Its a wig!

Tanzy on

I always think she looks amazing with the darker hair! Beautiful!

She looks like she is about to cry! I bet she wishes she could quit that life and head out to the country with her boys to live quietly.

I think she looks far more beautiful as a brunette. I’m not exactly a fan, so, from a completely objective standpoint, this look is a complete winner.

Debbie on

That looks like a wig..

Canada1 on

She did NOT have ‘lush golden locks’! This looks way better than that dry, strawlike look she was sporting…now get rid of the extensions.

Renee on

she needs to try not wearing the hair extensions. I thought she shaved her hair awhile back because they ruined her hair. Some people never learn!

Beezy on

This is photoshopped…

Sandy Cheeks on

What I want to know… WHY is she starring at herself in the mirror holding her perfume bottle? Is she trying to convince herself how great it is?? SAD picture!

Jessica on

I like it. She looks a lot younger. She was starting to look soccer mom-ish.

kahulita on

She looks exactly like Sally Field did when she played Forrest Gump’s dying mom. Same smile.

kc on

Don’t mind the color but the fake smile and lifeless eyes in this picture make me sad for Brit.

george on

It looks to me as if shes bald with a wig on????

Rebekah on

I’m surprised she has enough cache still to sell perfume.

Lacey on

Is she only 32? Poor thing has already lived a lifetime. That pose makes her look crazy. Why do you always pick those photos People?

isa on

Isn’t she a natural brunette? She looks good with darker hair because she was born with it. Much better than the fake and dry blonde hair!!

cec on

She looks good with darker hair because she is naturally a brunette. You’ll always look better with your God given hair color. Much better than the fake and dry blonde hair!!

Lori on

Brit is naturally a brunette people. Look at her pics when she was working with the Mickey Mouse Club…MUCH better as a brunette….she will always be adorable!

Katrina on

she looks old and tired

tulmon on

I actually like her in the brown hair much better. It looks soft and not so hard as the phoney blond she does.

Sarah on

I like her better as a blonde, not so much as a brunette. However, I don’t like how blonde she’s had her hair recently, its really brassy and really bleached. If she’s going back to blonde, the gal needs some low lights, like she used to get like ten years ago. It would look so much better on her!
