It’s no secret that The Bachelorette‘s Trista Sutter loves pink. When she married her firefighter beau Ryan Sutter after the reality franchise’s inaugural season in 2003, Trista, 41, carried a bouquet of pink peonies and their wedding boasted 5,000 yards of pink ribbon. So it was only natural that the color take center stage when Ryan, 39, looked to create the perfect ring for his bride to celebrate their 10 year wedding anniversary.

“Ryan is really romantic and wanted to surprise Trista with something amazing and special,” L.A. jeweler Neil Lane tells PEOPLE exclusively. “He wanted to give her something with extra romance and extra sparkle to show his affection and love for her. She loves pink, which is already a really romantic color.” After texting back and forth and considering a half dozen concepts, Ryan and Lane collaborated on a very glamorous — and, yes, pink – diamond ring design.

“The band is entwined, representing Ryan and Trista’s shared love, and we accented it with 16 pink diamonds to give it a little extra sparkle and take it up a notch,” says the celebrity jeweler of the handmade 4-carat ring, which is set with an emerald-cut diamond surrounded by 208 smaller round diamonds. “This is a very glamorous, romantic ring. The one Ryan gave her 10 years ago has so much sentimentality of course but after all these years together, this was an opportunity to give something spectacular and knock her off her feet.”

Mission accomplished. “Trista loved, loved the ring,” Lane says, adding that the duo, who renewed their vows last month for an ABC special which aired Sunday night, are still madly in love. “There’s a mutual glow between them. After 10 years, they’re more in love than ever!”

Its gorgeous but do you just switch it out for your original engagement ring?? That seems so shallow (well maybe not when ABC bought your original ring haha).

deanna on

It is nice to see that in 10 years + the show had one couple that truly fell in love. The odds don’t seem to be too good for this show.

SaraLee on

I am sure they didnt pay for this ring either. Especially when you hear the name Neil Lane dropped!

That ring is gorgeous!

Peachy on

I am sure they don’t pay for anything……..

Melissa on

How does a fireman afford a 4 carat diamond ring?????

The ring is beautiful! I couldn’t tell there was pink in it when they showed it on TV last night during the special, but I think it is gorgeous and the pink is perfectly suiting for Trista…not only because she loves pink but as a reminder of their wedding day (which included lots of pink!).

I’m sure Trista will still wear the other ring…possibly on her
other hand. They both seem very sentimental. Beautiful “Anniversary” ring… no matter who paid for it. I love this couple.
They seem to live with more “reality” in their world than the others
have done and just absolutely love each other. Another “Fairy Story” come true. Yes, I’m sentimental.

@deanna Ashley & JP and Jason & Molly (despite the controversy) are married and seem to be very in love. I’m also willing to bet the same thing about Sean & Catherine. They seem to have a great relationship and have already defied the odds by preparing to get married next weekend. Many people thought they wouldn’t make it that far.

Couples like Trista & Ryan and those listed above prove the show can work when the people are in it for the right reasons.

Oh, and the ring is gorgeous! I wish them many more years of happiness.

I really hate these 2. If their love is truly genuine, they wouldn’t be televising their wedding, anniversary, etc.

I got a lovely “upgrade” for my 60th birthday. It meant a lot because I am SURE hubby chose the stone and setting. I plan to have the original stone matched as a pair of earings.
He also paid for it as is probably in doubt here. Well, Vail is the perfect place for “bling” even if you live in Minturn or Eagle Vail, CO. LOL!,

For someone who professed to want to live her life out of the limelight she sure is storming her way back in: writing a sappy useless book, televising her vow renewal, constantly on EVERY Bachelor special, attending EVERY Bachelor wedding regardless of the fact that she knows NONE of the couples, now going on WE TV’s version of Couples Therapy. Enuf already.

It’s gorgeous!

Didn’t her original engagement ring look similar? Not hating, more power to you if you can afford more diamonds. BUT think I would go for a different look…otherwise it looks like you have two engagement rings. More surprising is that a reality show couple has made it this far!

all his rings look the same ugh

Tara on

there was actually some thought put into the ring by including pink for Trista … turned out beautiful!

nicole on of the nicest I’ve seen in a long time

Sooooooo pretty! They’re so lucky to have found each other and seem to truly appreciate the blessings this unconventional journey has given them! I’d love a beautiful love (and ring) like that :)

mom23 on

NO way in a million years did he pay for this ring…… All part of the deal, just like when they did it the first time around.

Christie on

Hmmm… was this ring free as well?

Wish these two more happy years to come! I met my husband unconventionally, via a 3 minute date aka speed dating! We just celebrated 10 years also. It can happen to anyone but there is a lot of work to do in any marriage.

swoowho on

Beautiful. I am so happy to see the two of you together with your two beautiful children. Hopefully, many more years to come of happiness.

Guest on

Fairly generic in my opinion. Looks like every other celebrity ring.

I really love this couple but as friend and I were discussing yesterday, couples who usually renew vows don’t last the distance. Maybe a last attempt to salvage a marriage. I really hope this is not true with this couple. The ring is to die. Who cares if Ryan didn’t pay for it? Best of luck to them and their family.

anonymous on

I think this one is more sentimental because he bought it, chose it, and paid for it himself…and it is built on shared memories and a family. It shows their love is deep and everlasting

How does a firefighter afford THAT?!! They only make $60-80,00 a year. Good for her tho. Got a hottie and a ring. Point Trisha.

Come on on

Clearly, the show continues to promote itself with Ryan and Trista. They are the only couple that has found success ON the actual show they were on together. This ring was not paid for by Ryan.

Oh my my my….goodness! I love it. As my birthstone is opal or pink diamonds! I wish them many years to come. My hubby designed mine for our 35th anniversary, and I love it!

firewoman77 on

How can he afford that ring on a firefighter’s salary? WOW!

Carrow on

I am so proud of them!

whatever on

someone has money to burn

whatever on

they live happily ever after cause he’s never at home…and he didn’t buy that on his salary

mrsmass on

Enough with the Neil lane ads!

heather on

Renewing vows on ABC? Are they running out of money?

Notafan on

The ring is gorgeous and perfect for Trista but I’m not a fan of the pink diamonds.

Mommie Dearest on

Neil Lane’s syrupy statements are almost as vomit-inducing as his corny rings.

Melissa on

I loooove love and vote that the world could she more of it! Congrats love birds

I like them and am so happy for them. However I am 100% he did not pay for the ring! I would love that ring for my 10 year but there is not way that my husband/us can afford a ring like that!

joanna on

that dude is good looking but he has SUCH a strange hairstyle!

allicat on

It may be 4 carats total weight as opposed to a 4 carat center stone. The smaller the diamonds, the lower the cost. I bet the center stone isn’t over 2 carats.
