From Date Night to Brunch, Exactly What to Wear This Weekend
It’s 75° and sunny in half the country and f-f-freezing in others. Here are three outfits to take you from Saturday night through Monday morning no matter where you live, with just a few modifications.
Saturday night: Yesterday was Kate Moss‘s 40th birthday. We’ll give you a minute to process that. Then we’ll talk about the outfit she wore to her birthday bash. The lace LBD is totally guy-friendly, while the booties are perfect for standing and dancing all night (more support than your strappy stilettos) as well as hailing a cab at the end of the night (no snow). The leopard coat is sassy and versatile, and you can add tights (or not) depending on where you’re at.
Sunday brunch: Julianne Hough should write a manual on how to look completely pulled together but still totally comfortable. She pairs a just-this-side-of-twee bowtie-topped sweater with leopard loafers and J Brand leather pants (similar style here) for a little edge, then works that night-after hair and super-dark sunnies for an air of mystery. This is exactly how we want to look when on our way a catch-up session with the girls after a super fun night.
Monday morning: We’re not just partial to this dress because it’s a Fashion Faceoff with one that our editor owns (Ted Baker London, if you were wondering). It’s also tremendously comfortable (perfect for a day when all your friends have the day off and you’re trudging into the office), versatile (add textured tights or go without!), easy (the scallops allow you to go light on the jewelry) and great with a variety of shoes. Hannah Simone plays it safe with black pumps, but you could add dark purple, gold, pink, booties … you get the idea.
