When Kate Hudson hits the carpet at an award show, she almost always gets love from anyone who’s watching. But there’s one dress in particular that that tops the list of PeopleStyleWatch.com editors every single time we see it. So in honor of Throwback Thursday and the 20th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards on Saturday, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on that dress from all angles.
Hudson selected a white backless Emilio Pucci gown with sequin embellishment at the waist for the 2010 SAGs, and it was probably the best thing to happen that year. (Okay, slight exaggeration, but now you understand our feelings). As if the dress didn’t make enough of a statement, the actress added over $1.75 million in Cartier jewels. Our favorite piece: the tassel diamond necklace that fell perfectly down her back. Basically, we can thank Hudson for making back necklaces a “thing.”
And while we’re not sure if Hudson we’ll be at the show this weekend, we’re not opposed to making this our desktop screensaver as a reminder of one of the best dresses yet. Anyone with us?
The SAGs Awards air Saturday, Jan. 18, at 8 p.m. ET on TNT and TBS. Who are you most excited to see on the carpet? What is your favorite SAG look of all time?
