Justin Bieber's Red Suit Was Inspired By ... Frank Sinatra?

Justin Bieber may have declared his retirement from music, but that doesn’t mean the Biebs will ever take a day off from bringing his own unique brand of style to the world. The star stepped out at the world premiere of Justin Bieber’s Believe in a red Balmain suit and white tasseled Del Toro smoking slippers — a look that his stylist tells PEOPLE was inspired by another singer that made ladies swoon: Frank Sinatra.

“I was told he’d be introducing his new artists to the world on the red carpet, so I instantly thought ‘Rat Pack’ — Justin Bieber as Frank Sinatra of course,” says his stylist Ugo Mozie. And though Bieber initially had asked for a white suit with red accents, Mozie steered things in a different direction: “As I put his look together, the red just took over. Red is powerful, sexy and masculine.”

Powerful, sexy and masculine? Is our little Biebs growing up? “Absolutely. You don’t have to see him to know that,” Mozie said. “Justin is showing the world his evolution through his music, and I’m making sure he’s showing the world his evolution through his style.”

Are you excited for a new, more mature Bieber, or will you miss all this (and this and this and …)?

Frank Sinatra made the ladies swoon, Bieber makes tweens swoon. And I don’t anyone ever had to tell Sinatra to pull his pants up and stop acting like a thug. Finally, Sinatra could sing.

No, I am sorry, but there is no Rat Pack cool from that clown costume. Also, I may be wrong, but I don’t think I have ever seen a picture of Sinatra sagging his pants. Gawd, how I wish that trend will die. In my opinion, it doesn’t a man “powerful, sexy and masculine”.

I like that he pulled his pants up! He looks very good in red.

I still don’t understand why guys want to look like they have 3-inch legs and a very long torso. What guy wants to look shorter?

Just wondering if he’s wearing pants that droop that low to overcompensate for what is lacking in another area.

The stylist Ugo Mozie obviously was NOT looking at pics of Frank Sinatra or the Rat Pack…he might have Googled those terms, but probably pulled up pics of rappers and gangsta wanna-bes.
