If Jaimie Alexander wasn’t on your radar yet, she is now. The actress (and Peter Facinelli’s girlfriend) currently stars in Thor: The Dark World and made quite the red carpet statement Monday night at the L.A. premiere of the film. Alexander selected a crazy-revealing black Azzaro dress, which showed off a lot of skin and her hot bod. Cue the Gwyneth Paltrow comparisons.

“You know, it’s actually quite warm because it’s a long sleeve,” she told PEOPLE at the premiere. “I tried on a lot of dresses, and a lot of them were actually too big, or too small, or too short, or too tall, and then I saw this dress. I saw a photo of it and I thought, ‘I can’t wear that because that is revealing!’ Then when I put it on, it was edgy but sort of classy at the same time.”

While we don’t know how the actress avoided a wardrobe malfunction (she’s clearly not wearing any undergarments), she did share how she maintains her toned figure.

“I lift a lot of weights,” she said, adding that she grew up in an athletic environment: “I have four brothers, and I was also on my high school wrestling team. The boys team. But as I was on it I recruited some more females because there were actually 81 schools in Texas with female wrestlers.”

And with all that background, Alexander would be an appropriate choice for the role of Wonder Woman, a role to which she’s rumored to be attached. “Hypothetically speaking, it would be an honor. I grew up as a huge fan of Wonder Woman. I was actually a huge fan of the comic books growing up.”

Do you like the actress’s dress or is it too revealing? Do you think she would make a good Wonder Woman? Sound off below!

This dress isn’t a fashion statement, it just screams look at me I need attention. I don’t care if you have the figure for this dress or not. It is very unclassy.

She has a beautiful body, but why is it necessary to expose so much of it for public consumption. In my opinion, it reduces a woman to the sum of her parts, and we are so much more than that.

Tacky…why is she so desperate?

She could’ve just shown up with nothing on, just naked; it’s the same idea. What did Peter wear, a leaf over his weiner.

Linda on

Way too revealing even with the mesh. Hideous and too showy in all the wrong places.

One word ~ TRASHY

Wow! Like someone else said, the back isn’t too bad, but it should have been more covered in the front. Imagine the back, and then just a “regular” cleavage in the front and it would actually have been edgy and cool…

If the leg cut outs were filled in with fabric, I would love this dress. I would not call this a “classy” look but compared to some outfits that are worn it could be considered that. To each their own.

Lacks Class on

Not a classy, lady like look at all.

In my opinion there is nothing classy about that dress. She may as well have stepped onto the red carpet in pasties and a g-string.
