To many, country music’s biggest night means lots of major fashion moments. From allover sequins to the inevitable cowboy boot/mini dress combo, head-turning style has become synonymous with the Country Music Awards. And there are three notable ladies we know won’t disappoint on Wednesday night’s red carpet.
Taylor Swift has been totally embracing her inner Audrey Hepburn lately, in a series of turtlenecks and cigarette pants, and we’re wondering if she’ll bring that brand of retro glam to the CMA carpet. Most recently, the singer selected a emerald green gem-embellished Jenny Packham fit-and-flare mini at the BBC 1 Teen Awards, and it worked so well, we have a feeling the star might go short for the CMAs.
Next up on our hot list: Carrie Underwood. The queen of the show and Brad Paisley’s co-host will inevitable wear a wide variety of looks, but will she top the 12 ensembles she wore last year? For pre-CMA promotional stop at Good Morning America, Underwood selected a blood orange peplum dress by Ted Baker London and it reminded us how much we love to see her in color. She may also go the sequin route like she did at T.J. Martell Foundation Dinner last month, opting for a periwinkle Randi Rahm design. Actually, let’s be real: She’ll wear both styles, and then some.
Finally, all eyes will be on Kacey Musgraves. The new darling on the country music scene is up for six nominations this year. The last time she caught our attention on the carpet she was wearing a pink fringe-embellished rodeo-inspired dress that reminded us of something out of Jessie’s closet on Toy Story. But since it was at a Katy Perry album launch party, we’ll give her a pass. She did go all-out-glam for
our PEOPLE’s “Ones to Watch” special.
