Lady Gaga Brings the Louis Vuitton Feather Headpiece to the Streets

When these feather headpieces hit the catwalk at the Louis Vuitton show they were the subject of much discussion — as well as a tongue-in-cheek suggestion for Miley Cyrus to wear if she needed some more attention. But we didn’t actually expect to see this outfit hit the street — but of course, we didn’t take Lady Gaga into account.

The singer, of course, didn’t stop at the gigantic headdress. She wore the full look, including the sheer fringe top and sequin pants, as seen on the model at the Spring 2014 show earlier this month. Where would one wear such an extravagant ensemble? If you’re Gaga, for a casual night in London after filming the Graham Norton Show, of course.

There may be more to Gaga’s outfit than shock value, as it turns out. She recently revealed that she is in mourning for her family dog, Alice — and she certainly can’t be expected to grieve in just any old sweater-and-skirt ensemble. So to Louis Vuitton she turned for the perfect mourning headdress. Makes sense to us … we think?
